So bummed to hear they are closed and going to be auctioned. Please someone buy them and keep this wonderful place in business!

Really good«river rat» food. Hearty breakfasts and good lunch fare. The place is clean and the service professional. Doesn’t try to be anything more than a good Delta hangout. We will be back!

So, I’m always looking for a good breakfast spot in town since they are few and far between. Bob is a fishing nut and he visits this spot quite regularly for mostly bank fishing. We were up and atom early to meet a friend for a boat ride; a surprise for our son Cody visiting from FL. The menu is simple, and they had some great scrambles and omelette’s with marina-like names-fun. The«Depth Charge» an Au gratin boat shaped dish layered with hash browns, country biscuits and gravy and topped with eggs of your choice was what Cody ordered-he was able to finish that AND a full stack of pancakes. I got to sample a wedge or two of the stack and they were the best pancakes I’ve had to date; crispy and golden brown on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside-yum. I got the veggie scramble; eggs, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, spinach and cheese-a bit too many potatoes for my liking but that was okay, since the scramble covered the entire plate and I could only finish half. Some yummy rye toast and a perpetually full cup of coffee. The two gals running the place were super friendly, fun, and can cook up a breakfast that I can certainly approve of-we will be back.

This review is for H &H café — the service was good, price and food were ok — however, it took forever for us to get our burgers; from the time they served our salad to burger, there was about at least a 15 minutes wait.

Love the decking, open and right on the water. Open for dinner on Friday & Saturday! Prime rib dinner for a great price. Come hungry portions are big. Free sunset on the delta is a plus.

I have been going to Herman and Helen’s since I was a kid and it was good, but nothing special. I just went there last week and had an outstanding lunch! They are smoking ribs, tri-tip and ball tip now. I had a bbq plate of ribs and tri-tip with french fries and a coke(or beer if I wanted) for $ 10!!! It was a great deal and the food was delicious. The new owners were both really nice and we will be going back for sure.

This is a Delta classic, but don’t expect anything special from this place. People who have been hanging out at the Delta forever seem to love it, but it is a grease pit. The eggs are fried in a ton of butter and the service is bad. Our young waitress looked at me confused whenever I asked her for something(and had to ask several times to get toast with my eggs even though it came with my meal). It’s so funny when my in-laws ask if they have egg beaters or sugar-free syrup. The people who work here have never even heard of these items and they look at them as if they are speaking a foreign language when they ask. Be warned: if you get the breakfast burrito, make sure you split – it is HUGE.

H&H Marina is the place I go to fuel up my sailboat when I’m deep in the Delta or staying at Tinsley Island. We would take the dinghy across the river and putter up the slough to buy a Dove bar or a soft drink. The coffee shop always has greasy burgers and fries to fill our tummies. In general, there’s always a good size crowd around the docks renting house boats and makes it fun to people watch for a change.
