Not the best… not the worst. Visited on a whim, late afternoon meal after shopping. Cute inside but sluggish service. Seated and ordered drinks… waited for someone to surface to ask for sugar for the tea… we placed order with a seemingly new waitress and waited for cheese and gravy and a refill on chips. The other waitress came back out to clarify some changes on our order… kids meal request of fries instead of rice/beans was denied and a side order of fries was required, my enchilada dinner request for 2 instead of 3 was denied and was told I needed to order a different dinner with beef something to get only 2 enchiladas… not sure why since they have a 1, 2 or 3 dinner combo where you build your meal. Anyway…the food finally came since the other waitress took over. ****mehhhhh**** Gravy for the kids was completely flavorless, the meal was very basic and a tad salty. Nothing too memorble… if I want easy simple«mexicanish» food ill stick to Casa Flores or Tio Pepes.

Ordered a margarita 10 minutes ago. Waitress came and asked if «I still wanted it». No shit I still wanted it? I ordered it. After a whole night of shitty service where the waitress gave us basic service, I decided to just tell her no. Horrible customer service as I also overheard another customer ask for an over the rocks margarita. When they came back with a frozen margarita, they told her she had to pay for the one they brought out PLUS another one if she wanted it on the rocks since it was already made. Wtf? Food was good but service is horrible.

The food was average and the service there is really bad. They can’t get your order right to save their life. We just left from there, we were a table of four and two of the four of us had the wrong order. One plate was sent back and took 20 mins to get the right order, at which point everyone else was finished with there food. We asked to speak to a manager, a women came to our table and said she will take care of it. Come to find out when we were trying to pay for our check the lady that we were told was a manager was just another waitress. We thought we would get a discount for the meal that took forever to get to our table, which we did it was a whopping $ 1.50 off WTF? I will never come back to eat at this restaurant.

If you do not know how to cook Mexican food, Las Palmas is your best choice to go to. They have a variety of dishes to choose from; I always tend to order chile verde and it comes with pork and green chili, rice, and beans. For a beverage, I always choose their horchata, it is delectable to drink with anything you order! It’s all very scrumptious, my family and I go every Sunday and their food is never a disappointment.

Came here on a Saturday morning because we were craving posole! The waitress that helped us seemed to hold the ship down for the rest of the crew. She was making the drinks, taking our orders, and even quick at accomodating us with extra sauces, waters, napkins etc that we asked for. Speaking of suaces, the chips were pretty addicting to snack on while waiting for the soups. I semi-regret munching on so many chips because it took up space from the posole. All three of us got posoles and were given decent amounts of soft, tender meat. The flavor of the soup was great. Not too greasy, nor too salty. It was so good that I kept wanting to drink the soup til oblivion but was too full to do that. The waitress even told us that posoles are holiday soups at home and that it tastes even better the day after. Unfortunately, I had none left to take to-go after haha. Definitely recommend, especially after a night of drinking; get those electrolytes in!

So. I had a lunch appointment and they requested Las Palmas. The food was supposed to be ready for pick up at 1130. Unfortunately the person taking the order said that the food wouldn’t be prepared until I arrived to pay. The office that placed be order mentioned that they could call me and provided my number if they needed my card. Needless to say it wasn’t ready when I arrived. So. When I first walked in– totally smelled yummy. Very nicely decorated and spacious– I figured I’d have to come back in for dine in to give it a try. But admittedly when I walked out I could smell the odor of the cooked food on me. The food was prepared within 25 minutes. And the server brought it out and started to go over it. I said I don’t know what was ordered, I’m just picking up. I will trust you placed whatever needed to be ordered. When I arrived at my appointment in Manteca, the office manager that placed the order said there was supposed to be 8 items, and of course our luck there was only 7 items. She said she even ordered in Spanish, and said the gal taking the order was rushing her advising that there were other people waiting for her. So overall– food is tasty. They said it was 4 stars. They love that part. But Note to self if I’m ordering food to go, I need to go through each and every item to ensure the food is prepared correctly before leaving the restaurant

The food is eh. I have better Mexican food at home. The service is HORRIBLE!!! We stopped going there because they ALWAYS messed our order up when we ate there. If we order over the phone. We expect our order to be ready by the time we go pick it up. Instead we have to wait for it like we just ordered it when we got there. They are snotty and rude.

We went to eat at Las Palmas today. There were not many people already seated in restaurant with many tables empty. Besides ourselves there were quite a number of people just waiting to just be seated. We waited over 20 minutes and still no seating. Mind you the majority of the tables unoccupied. We finally just left. I’ve been a loyal customer at this place for quite some time. It’s getting gradually worse each time. If you’re lucky enough to get your food, it’s good. But I’ve waited previously at a table for a good hour for the food to show up. It looks like they are too unorganized. Update-since this review I’ve returned and noticed a difference! Perhaps they’ve been reading this site. Service has greatly improved and the food is still good as before. I’ve gone from 1 star to 4 stars. I recommend!

If you are calling in an order… Come right away and keep telling the staff you are here to pick up the food. If not, you’ll be waiting an HOUR

Decent food, ignorant and/or ridiculous waitress ruined the trip though. My boyfriend ordered a steak AND shrimp burrito, the same as he does at every other location and the waitress told us they don’t make them. I dug a little deeper and we were allowed to order«at our own risk»… The risk? They charge extra for steak(no shit!) and«someone complained» so she didn’t want to place our order. She was adamant on not placing it until I asked a bunch of questions and what it came down to was that she was just being a prejudiced bitch. I won’t be back.

Took my lady here to get some food to eat based off of a friends recommendation. Got in and saw a sign saying wait to be seated… we waited… and waited… and waited despite seeing at least 4 different servers. Finally a server comes up to us as we’re standing there but she asks everyone else sitting down if they’ve already been helped when we’re standing right in front of her. So we finally get a seat. Table, menu, seats all dirty. But we still have some hope that the good would make up for it. Then we had to wait at least 15 minutes just for her to come over and take our order. We see her bringing drinks and food to all of the other customers even some who came after us. But we finally had our order put in and it came back pretty fast. I got chili Verde and she got classic asada nachos. Chili Verde was just okay. Just barely. Nachos… 0⁄100. Chips were hard. Meat cold and flavorless. Sour cream covering everything and … you’re going to laugh at this… NOCHEESE. WTF kind of nachos has no cheese ??? She ate not even a quarter of the nachos and I didn’t finish my entrée either. One last thing, all of this was on a Sunday afternoon with about 4 people being served in the ENTIRE restaurant. The service was horrible. Never coming to this place again. First impressions mean everything and this is one I’ll never want to have again. Guess I’ll stick with the best CASAFLORES on Hammer Lane. Would give 0 stars of I could.

This place is amazing. At first I was skeptical about the size of their burritos because my friend would over exaggerate everything. The burritos aren’t just big, but very delicious! Try it with gravy! My favorite restaurant now

Decent food. Nothing compared to some of the hallmark Mexican food in Stockton. You can find much better food on taco trucks and other sit-down Mexican restaurants in town. The food doesn’t taste fresh and flavorful. It tastes flat without much flavor… This is kind of like a desperate situation type of place. The service, great! All the workers were very nice, polite, and helpful. I can’t say the same for the food, unfortunately. Proceed with caution.

The nachos are huge when you eat at the restaurant, but when you take it to go, it’s so small. When my boyfriend and I ate there, the server was extremely nice. He let us choose our seats, checked on us plenty of times, and didn’t charge us for extra cheese because we omitted some things from our nachos. My boyfriend loves their nachos, but I think it’s very plain. I poured a bunch of hot sauce over it. In another visit, my brother and I ordered to go and did not feel welcomed at all. We waited patiently for our food and watched the servers greet other people in Spanish and with gigantic smiles… wonder why we didn’t get that kind of service? Well the lady came with our food and told us she gave us free chips and salsa and that this is the only time she’ll do that because it’s not free(my boyfriend ordered to go plenty of times and he’s received chips & salsa each time). Well, not sure if I’ll come here often… it’s like a hit or miss. *although they write down your order, they can still mess it up as they did with my to go order.

We’ve been going here for a couple of years and I can say we’ve tried most of everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal. For me, my favorite thing is their corn tortillas. I know, right? Yes, corn tortillas. But they’re homemade and super yummy. I order them with everything. They have great happy hour deals, both on food and drinks. Regrettably, I can’t remember what hours. I don’t go there specifically for that, but it’s always a happy coincidence. The beer is always ice cold and the drinks served with a generous hand. The service has always been kind, genuine, and sincere. Half of the time it’s spot on and they even remember us from our last visit. However, it can be slow from time to time. I’m hoping maybe someone reads this and coaches the handful of servers who make you feel forgotten. If this happens, don’t hesitate to flag down the next server you see. They’re always happy to help. As for the food, it’s all good. Standard Mexican fare with a nice selection of seafood. It’s not all covered in sauce/gravy(unless you ask for it). The rice is always well cooked, never mushy, and the beans are well flavored and seasoned. The restaurant is charmingly decorated. Think hacienda not rainbow walls. There’s plenty of room for groups. Everything is always clean. They get an A in my book!
