What a great, unexpected treasure of a place! A fine specials menu. Loved our deli sands. enjoyed this family-​run business, which specializes in cakes.

The cake was good only thing is that everything on the cake was not edible. Some of the décor was made of foam paper. I’m pretty sure they could have used fondant for the strips of color I had.

Staff is friendly. They make pretty good deli sandwiches.

I’ve been to this place several times because my kids and I love their sugar cookies as well as their chocolate chip ones.
A couple of days ago, my husband and I decided to stop by to get some cookies for our boys before picking them up from school. We walked in and the woman at the register was helping a customer… Or so I thought. It looked like she was ringing her up at first. The woman never once looked at us. (I know she saw us because their door rings every time someone walks in.) We literally stood there for well over 5 minutes while she gossiped with the other customer. She was SO rude!
I kept waiting to see if she’d at least «I’ll be with you in a moment.» But NOTHING. We were completely ignored. I turned to my husband and said, «let’s just go.» So he interrupted their gossiping and said, «can you get someone else to help us?» That’s when she went into the back and asked another woman to come help her with us. The lady that helped us was rally nice.
Come on now! We were only there for 1 dozen cookies. You couldn’t stop gossiping for like 2 minutes to ring us up and then carried on?
They only get 1 star bc their cookies are good, but they lack good customer service.

I ordered my wedding cake from Magdas and I was absolutely pleased. They were able to deliver it to elk grove for me as well! It tasted amazing, was perfectly moist and looked flawless! I ordered a 3 tear whipped cream frosted cake and they made it look flawless like fondant! (It was too hot outside for fondant so we chose whip instead) they airbrushed it a ivory pearl color just as I requested! Couldn’t ask for more! Since then it’s been my family’s go to place for special occasions!

I always grab cakes here! For about 10 years now! Tres leches is moist and sweet and delicious! Frosting is fluffy! The flan, chocoflan, cheesecake, and gelatins is delicious. Everything is cheap so if ur frugal like me ur gonna love it. Ordered my first custom cake there today for my moms 50^th and they did an amazing job on it. On time. Feeds 45 – 60 and priced at $ 95. Tres leches round with strawberry filling. The only thing I can complain about is the customer service. They aren’t very professional, sometimes answer the phone, and make you wait quite a bit without acknowledging you’re there. The cakes though are fantastic! And the cool thing is they have a ton of cookies and sell by the slice and daily make emergency cakes on display. They also sell a sweet meal deal during the week with very authentic Mexican tortas! I recommend:)

You want a little hole in the wall unexpected deli and bakery here you go! The best homemade cookies and lunch sandwiches for a GREAT price. I recommend any cookie they have on the shelf! But once they’re gone, they’re gone for the day and you don’t know when they will bake them again.
The service here is extremely nice!

HORRIBLE!!! I recently ordered a cake here for my daughters birthday and it was a disappointment! When my boyfriend picked up the cake it was in a box with no lid so the cake was exposed. The décor and writing on the cake was a joke, it looked like it was done by a kid learning how to write. The flowers on the cake wasn’t edible, it was made out of foam!!! Are you serious??? Ugh!!! And the cake itself was disgusting!!! It was so dried and stale… Nothing about the cake was good… The cake was a piece of crap and I will NEVER order anything from this place EVER again!!! First and last time customer for sure!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone with good taste!!! FYI Magda’s!!! You guys should make sure your product is up to part with your prices!!!

Ordered a bridal shower cake for today & it was beautiful and delicious! We added fresh flowers to the already gorgeous cake. The top tier was white cake with chocolate pudding & the bottom tier was marble cake with banana filling (YUM!!!). Bride’s mom doesn’t usually care for cakes with banana feeling, but she said this one was delicious! A plus was that Magdas offered great customer service.
I’ve also had their sandwiches & cookies. You really can’t go wrong. So tasty!

Really good sandwiches and sugar cookies! You have to try the chocoflan (½ moist chocolate cake and ½ flan). You won’t be disappointed. The staff was also very friendly.

Magda’s is a hidden gem in downtown Stockton! They make the best cookies and cakes! Seriously, they are to die for. They use a whipped cream frosting on their cakes that is the best frosting I’ve ever had. I normally like things really, really sweet and prefer butter creams but they changed my mind. I have ordered from them on many occasions. The past couple times I ordered, it was very last minute and they totally pulled through for me and were the only ones willing to do so in the area.
They did my son’s birthday cake which was a Planes theme and even though they had no designs for that theme, they let me text them a picture of one I saw online and they nailed it. They also did a custom cake for my daughter’s baptism that was so beautiful. The frosting shimmered. The best part is they are so reasonably priced! I recommend Magda’s to everyone in need of some delicious sweets.

Worst customer service ever! Do not recommend anyone to go to this establishment unless you want to be disappointed with their horrible service.

If I could give them negative stars I would! Worst customer service ever!!! First thing they should learn is that the customer always comes first! Not only was the cake over priced but when we were ready to pick it up they said they didn’t have it!!! We had ordered my Goddaughter’s first birthday cake weeks in advice.
The girl who was at the counter was rude and had poor customer service skills. She had the nerve to say that they had a Wedding cake to make and that was their priority. So you mean my Goddaughter’s first birthday cake wasn’t. And she still asked if we wanted a full refund!
Never ever going there again!!! I don’t recommend it either. There customer service has declined badly. My family has order cakes here before and we never thought this was going to happen. I tried calling to speak with the owner and they didn’t want to answer the phone. If this is your business at least apologies and accept your huge mistake.

The cake decoration was AWESOME!!! The cake inside was not so awesome. It wasn’t moist and it waskind of like stale hard but it wasn’t stale and wasn’t hard. Hard to explain… it just wasn’t moist… I could have made moist cake from a box, lets just say that lol
San Miguels cake is so yummy and moist compared to this place BUT san miguels frosting and whip cream is way too sweet. This place has good frosting and whip but the cake was pretty basic as it was just only plain white cake. IDK if I caught them at a bad time or just a bad batch but I will not be coming back. I would like to try the dirty spatula next.

Everyone raves about the Tres Leches but I’m in love with the walnut cake…
And I really don’t like walnuts, but when it’s in this moist, heavenly dessert, it’s to drive all out to downtown Stockton for =)

Really tasty cakes. Love the tres leches that has caramel on top. Yummy! Had one for a event and everybody liked it.

They have this delicious walnut cake. I know what you’re thinking, walnuts!?? Yes, walnuts. Everytime I order this cake and my guests try it they are amazed.
I have had my wedding shower cake, baby shower cookies and now my daughter’s 2^nd birthday cake from this wonderful bakery. Not once disappointed.

) Perfectly made yesterday… especially with the Caramel Swirls on top!!! Size has been reduced, though… instead of being 4″ Square… now it’s only 3 ½″ x 2 ½″ in size. Still very rich and flavorful.
Marble Jello (aka Gelatina Mosaico *****) (
) Various cut up colors of Jello immersed in a milky white Gelatin. Tasted as good as it looked! WOW, again! You know that saying… «You’re never too full for Jello!»? Especially South-​of-​the-​Border Jello…
Jarritos Sangria ($ 1.49)
Noticed as I was writing review… I ordered the exact same things as when I first taste-​tested this Bakery… years ago.
I inquired from the cute-​as-​a-​button new Hispanic clerk how much the 8″ Round Tres Leches were… just $ 10.00. Couldn’t believe my ears! I had her repeat the price two times… ONLY $ 10.00!!! This HAS to be the best value in Stockton! (

Sandwiches are back on the white-​board… two at $ 3.99 and another at $ 4.99. The Sandwiches must be pretty popular… there are two women in the back devoted to just prepping Sandwiches at Lunch-​time… this small Bakery just gets packed during Lunch.

I LOVE the tres leches cake here!!! I’ve never tasted anything so soft & moist! It’s the kind of cake where you can close your eyes and daydream about the texture and taste in your mouth and smile!
My favorite is the tres leches cake with the caramel drizzle. They also have one with chocolate drizzle but I think it’s too sweet.
