Went to Midgleys yesterday and order a glass of beer. I took 2 sips of my beer and realize something was inside the bottom of my beer. I let the waitress know and she came back with a mini cup of my beer. Wow! The least they could do was make me a new glass of beer but instead she gave me half of my order to compensate what was supposely left in my glass. For the record, my glass was still more than ¾ full. Did they seriously just did that? If they had clean their cups in the first place, I wouldnt had the problem of returning my beer. I would have to say thats just poor customer service and business overall. I still cant believe they really just did that!

It’s a very nice place clean but we just came on a Sunday to check it out they had happy hour & half off appetizers but nothing on the appetizer list seemed appealing & This place is way over priced I ordered a grilled Caesar salad which I never had like that it was looked nice & fancy but the lettuce wasn’t shredded seemed like I was eating big salad wraps for $ 9& then I added shrimp which i knew would have additional charge but they charged me $ 9 for 3 pieces of shrimp I’ve never paid $ 18 total for a damn salad. Oh & it was pretty slow that day but service took forever I guess they knew we weren’t feeling the place.

Amazing food! I don’t know how long they have been open but I am sad I didn’t know sooner. I regret not trying the tomahawk steak but I’ll be back to do so! Had a filet that was great!

If you’re going to be recognized as a steakhouse, how about you learn how to cook the steaks. Upon arrival the service was poor and overall rude staff. Customer service should really be a priority at this type of establishment. When it came to receiving my order, my steak was burnt. Couldn’t even enjoy my meal at this point. I don’t mind paying a little more than what it seems to be worth, but can I at least get a decent meal? Definitely not going back, take your money elsewhere.

Went here after reading reviews. Started out great. One star for waiter. Soup and bread hot. Ordered rare prime rib. Medium at best. Mashed potatoes so so dry. Asperegus gross. Wanted to try big steak but on the fence if we will ever be back.

Another Score in Lincoln Center! I didn’t get too much to eat but the appetizer of choice on this day was there sweet and spicy chicken wings. Soooooo… Good! I happened to fall in around 530−6pm so I was able to take advantage of happy hour!!! The serving size was good, I was full of the wings and I let out of there with a bill under 8.00. Oh and they gave me house bread. Good eating on a budget :) :) :) I will have to bring my family in for dinner.

Excellent food! I have had the prime rib, filet mignon, crab cakes, asparagus cigars, calamari, pulled pork sandwich, fries, and cocktails. I will keep going back until I have tried everything… which may take awhile since Mike conjures up new weekly $ 10 lunch specials.

My husband and I ate here on 4÷16÷16 for our anniversary dinner. Found this place on Unilocal. Our first time here. We would definitely dine here again. Loved the ambiance inside and there’s great seating outside for those nice, warm evenings. We both ordered the same thing, the 8 oz filet; medium. My husband got the red potatoes and asparagus, and I the mashed potatoes with asparagus. Our meat was cooked perfectly; tender and juicy with lots of flavor. Thank you to the chef!

My fiancé and I had the best experience here. He had the 14oz rib eye and I had the Maine Lobster. We had Calamari for an appetizer which was the best I’ve ever had. It was soft and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very tentative and accommodating. The food was amazing, can’t say enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Took my mom to Midgley’s for Easter lunch. Called prior to make reservations, at which time I asked if they would be serving off the dinner menu, as well as lunch, for Easter… «Sure» was the response. When we ordered, the server came back and said the lunch chef did not know how to make our entrée, as he’s never worked dinner… Hmmm. They made it work, but with some modifications. Felt it was way too pricey for what we got. The service was OK, but not fabulous. This was a letdown, as I had been here for lunch before and both the service(love ya, Mandee!) and food were excellent. I’ll go back for lunch and Happy Hour, but not dinner.

Stockton has a first class Restaurant. Went here to Midgley’s Public House for a dinner with relatives. It was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect. It was on point. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. The choice of steak was perfect. Asparagus and potatoes couldn’t be better. Compliments to the chef. My wife had the roasted chicken with polenta, she loved it. Seasoned perfectly. Also had asparagus cigars and calamari for appetizers, perfect choice. Their home made steak sauce was absolutely perfect touch. Desert was unique, different and tasty. Everything was priced right for the quality of, service and atmosphere you get too. People underestimate this town but it has a lot of quality, talent, class and good places to eat. Midgley’s is one of them.

Every time I come home to Stockton we eat only a couple places because of my dietary restriction. When Midgley’s opened and I saw they offered vegan options I was stoked. My mom eats meat and had been and loved it. She raved about the asparagus cigars. I came for the first time and had the vegan wings and avocado fries. Both are delicious. The second time I came and had the vegan sandwich which I thought was good as well. Now I stop in almost every time I return back to Stockton. Thank you for providing a place that puts to use the amazing produce we have in our area. The service and draft list is awesome as well. Dogfish 90 min in Stockton? Yes please.

I came here for restaurant week and it was a really fun experience. The service was definitely up to par for such a fancy place. The food was decent on some ends and amazing on others. I recommend the salmon — it was definitely my favorite main dish, and the veggies that come with it are perfect. But the real reason for my review is the avocado fries. Yes! AVOCADOFRIES. Paired with that creamy dipping sauce oh my god I need more immediately. **oh and sitting outside isn’t bad at all. The heating lamps keep you nice and toasty.

Valentine’s Day dinner??? Sure why not even though it should be celebrated every day. Anyhow, we couldn’t make any RVSP this morning because the lady told us that they didn’t have anything available. We arrived the restaurant hoping that there wouldn’t be a long wait due to the fact that’s it’s VALENTINESDAY! As we walked in, the host was able to seat us but she also informed us that our table is reserved for 7:30pm. That’s 2 hours from now. I’m sure that’s plenty of time for us to dine and have a good time. I had the 3 course meal: Starter: lobster bisque soup Meal: 12oz rib eye(medium rare) with mash and 3 grilled asparagus Dessert: chocolate cake Our server was really nice. He managed to check back to us to see how everything was. Anyways, the rib eye was good and thick but I was hoping to be more flavorful. This place is too pricey for the meals that they serve. I’ve been to restaurants that are expensive but every bite were worth the price. For example, House of Prime Rib in SF and LB Steak in Santana Row. I will definitely not come back. I’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse for their prime rib.

Was taken here by friends. Very nice ambiance. Very expensive for what you get. I had a 14 oz. Ribeye, well cooked 4 asparagus spears, and one potato cut in 4 pieces, for $ 40! Side dishes are very pricey, for instance, $ 12 for Mac and cheese. Lemon drop cocktail was $ 12. The food was good, but not $ 64 plus tax and tip good. At least serve soup or salad with the meal!

I love the food and the atmosphere here! I’ve only been during lunch time, but There is always a friendly vibe and the menu is just daring me to order everything. Not only does the whole menu look amazing, but they have specials that have your mouth watering before the waitress even gets to the end of the description. I’ve also heard they have a great happy hour, but have not experienced it– YET Another great thing about this spot is that there is the laid back car seating with all the regulars, the indoor table seating and the outdoor. You can’t go wrong with any of their dining options, but I always prefer the bar! Make sure you check out what’s on tap and they can always mix you up something harder. No matter what you like to eat or drink they’ll have you covered!

Excellent service always had a full cup and they were very polite. We had lunch, their prime rib dip sandwich with garlic fries and fish and shrimp platter with fries. It had to be the best dip sandwich I had in such a long time. Lunch menu is slightly cheaper that dinner menu and all depends on the entrée. I’ve heard good things about the place, but didn’t want to go because of the price range. We looked at the menu before deciding on going in and it was a fair price for the quality of the food and portions were big. I cleared my plate because it was scrumdiddlyumptious lol it was yummy, I left stuffed and satisfied. I did go and judge the servers, atmosphere and style/layout of the restaurant. Service: 10 Host/server attire: 5⁄10(I’m not sure about what the hostess was wearing) Atmosphere: 8 Style: 9 Layout: 8(only because I have to see the bathrooms lol) Food: 10

Came here for happy hour and everything we ordered was awesome. Avocado fries were surprisingly better than you’d think and the sriracha ranch complements them well. The sticky wings were good and meaty. My favorite by far was the pork belly sliders. Pork belly wrapped in bacon with chipotle aioli, lettuce and tomato. So divine! I would go back just for those. They have a nice selection of beer and some tasty specialty cocktails. Prices are high but you get quality flavorful food. One thing I wish they’d change is let you enjoy happy hour on the patio. Happy hour prices are restricted to the bar area only. Other than that a good experience.

Midgley’s will be my go to spot for a fancy dinner especially when I am craving some type of steak. If you’re willing to cough up $ 70 I highly recommend the Tomahawk steak. 38 oz of tasty piece of meat on a huge photogenic bone. This dish will make cavemen turn over in their graves. It also comes with asparagus and french fries which just to add different textures while eating the meat behemoth. Before eating the main dish you should get something light to make your stomach wanting more. FYI the appetizers are big enough to have as a meal. Super delicious as well. I tried the poutin fries which had beef cheeks in the gravy that were tender. The fries are a smaller steak frites which are perfect for soaking in the gravy juices. I also tried the fried guacamole fries which are light and satisfying. I was drinking their homemade Manhattan’s which has a lighter taste than what I am used to but still packs that punch resulting in the same buzz i usually get. I would order it again. The service is great and location is pretty chill They have outdoor seating, a bar, and decent space in the inside. I’m definitely coming here again to try other stuff on the menu!
