No matter how good the food is, it is hard to give a business a good review when they habitually can’t open on time. Can’t plan your lunch hour when they may open by noon or 12:30.

pretty laid back place.
shay & Tianna served us. service was quick & friendly!
we ordered their ribs that they had as a special, that were just decent. but everything else that we ordered: mac&cheese, hush puppies, fried okra, fried chicken & CATFISH were BOMB! breading wasn’t too overwhelming & had just enough flavor to it.
you could tell that alot of their food is made in house & made fresh.
would definitely come back.

Went to this restaurant a couple months ago on a Saturday. The food was AMAZING. I had the six piece fried red snapper with greens, red beans and rice and hush puppies. Everything was great, especially the hush puppies. So today I went back to try the catfish. I ordered the hush puppies again but when I bit into one, it was just a ball of plain cornbread. Very disappointed, I really wanted those hush puppies Everything else was good, though. I will definitely eat here again, just hope everything is right next time.

I ate here on a Sunday when they have buffet style brunch. I tasted everything and it was all very good. Everything was fresh and clean. The bathroom was clean and the people we’re all very nice. Awesome!

Since moving from the Bay Area it has been a challenge to find a good soul food restaurant. The food here is amazing! And the most important thing, for me, was that not all the dishes are loaded with pork. None of the vegetables or bean dishes had pork in them! I can’t wait to come back here again. Please support this place so they can stick around!

Oooooohhhhhh weeeeeeee! They cook up some really good soul food! We had a special event here and they cooked up some baked chicken, mac & cheese, greens, beans & rice, yams, meatloaf & gravy, rice, and corn bread. Everybody went back for more. It was THAT good. The owners and their son are really nice too. Stockton, show them some love and keep them in business!!! When I am back in town visiting my nana I will be back!

Very good soul food for the price. The buffet is great and it’ll have you going back for seconds. The fried chicken and fish is hot and tasty, the employees are very attentive. I only wish they were in North Stockton.

Love this place! It’s such a welcomed change to the same ol’ same ol’ stuff we have downtown. The pork chop is so wonderful. You touch it with your fork and it just falls apart. I’ve also had their meatloaf which I was weary about considering I like my moms, but it too was great. The folks who run the restaurant are very hospitable. If your looking for some down home comfort food, this is the place to go.

A co-​worker suggested this place as it was walking distance from his office. I was a little dubious but ending up going back the next day. The collard greens were delish and the black eyed peas reminded me of when I was in Mississippii. The service was friendly, and I’ll be going back. This place is solid.

I went to the Sunday Brunch, I must say the food was good! I gave it a four star because when I arrived the mac n cheese pan was empty with just a couple of spoons full. I got one spoon full and it was screaming. However, I waited about 45 minutes for some fresh mac n cheese, only to be told twice «It’s in the oven.» After 45 minutes, I was disappointed so I left. Price is right! If you go get the mac n cheese. I could have eating a whole plate of Mac n cheese!

Wow! Fantastic food! I’ve never had greens before, and they were delicious! The mashed potatoes and cornbread were heavenly, and the fried chicken was amazing! I will definitely be going back!

Pretty good when in Pittsburg CA. I use to stop here when passing through coming from the bay. I recommend restaurant. Hopefully it’s still as tasty.
