Spencer L Lowe MD

Great doctor and great assistants (Jennifer namely). Dr. Lowe has always been courteous and did an awesome job on a sinus surgery for me, I would recommend him to anyone with ear nose and throat needs. If this review was solely Dr. Lowe and his assistant Jennifer it would be a 5+ stars. However the issue I have with his office is the two woman who answer the phones and are sitting at reception desk. They seriously need an attitude adjustment! I’ve called in and got attitude from the older of the two women and as I sit in the waiting room listening to her answer the phone for others she isn’t friendly or polite to anyone else either. When I come into the office both seemed bothered by my presence and are far from welcoming. For example, I had an 11:30 appointment and signed in as I am supposed to at 11:31. At least 30 minutes have went by since I’ve been here and I haven’t got so much as a look from either of them. They seem to refuse to even acknowledge I’m here, no kind of smile, eye contact nothing. I also witnessed a new patient trying to ask questions and they were not willing to answer her questions just rushed her off to do the paperwork. A little compassion and professionalism goes a long way! I realize doctors usually run late for appointments which the receptionist cannot control, however apologizing for the patients wait and at least acting like you care that your patient is upset over waiting would be a great way to keep your patients happy. If these women can’t handle it they have no business working in customer service where these situations arise.
Dr. Lowe would be smart to hire new compassionate and welcoming receptionists who can keep their poise during stressful and busy times. Bad day or not, it is unacceptable to let the patients experience this and treat them poorly with attitude. (This review is mostly directed at the older of the two receptionist)
