I went here as a walk on after calling to ask if they accepted walk ins they said they did. So I walk in, they ask if I’m here for an eye exam I say yes they direct us to the back where I sit for 45 minutes after signing in on the clip board which they never once looked at, after sitting there 30 minutes they asked me if I had an appointment, I say no I’m a walk in so she gives me a dirty look and goes about her business, 10 minutes later she asks again if I had an appointment, again I said no, and return her dirty look 2 minutes later another lady walks in and gets her full attention while still ignoring me. So I got annoyed and walked out,…The Customer service Sucked and I will NEVER go back… I only put a star rating so this would post… I give Stanton a negative 1 star

Don’t bother going here glasses are crap for the 2 for 78 and all of there other frames are way over priced, I walked out without getting anything, and feel good about that after reading these other reviews. DONOTGOTHERE !!!

I wish 0 stars was an option. This place is a joke. I came here last year and got an eye exam. I ordered 2 frames and was told it would take 10 – 14 days. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them, I called. No order yet. Another 3 weeks went by, never heard from them so I called back and was told 1 pair came in but not the other. So I went to pick up my 1 pair and they were broken. And apparently, my 2nd pair was never even ordered. So they reordered both orders and gave me the broken frames to ‘get by with’ until my others came. Although I could see better than before, they were not the correct prescription for me. Over a month later, only 1 pair came. Except– they weren’t even the frames I originally ordered! So after talking to the manager, she replaced the 2nd pair(AGAIN) and thru in a pair of prescription sunglasses for the problems. So when my glasses came in, the sunglasses were not tented. Really? Come on guys. The woman said it would only take about 4 hrs to tent. I came back after work for the umpteenth time and they LOST my sunglasses! So frustrating! I wanted to wait and talk to the manager again but she had a long line of unhappy customers ahead of me. I never even went back to check if they found my lost sunglasses. This place is a waste of money. I want to complain to corporate and get a refund but it’s probably too late. Oh, I almost forgot: ALL3 of the frames I got from this place are already broken. I may not be the most careful person but I still have my very 1st pair of glasses from when I was 15– over 13 yrs ago. So this tells me how cheaply made they are. Another thing– I got my eyes re-examined by someone who knows what they’re doing and it turns out, I have a stigma. I highly doubt that it came about less than a year between my two exams. I can’t express how much of a disappointment the«business» is…

Irritating commercials. Too much. Went into shop and the 79 dollar turned into over 275.00!!! Go figure. I wish the commercials would quit. They are very annoying.

I’m having an amazing experience here today. Monica the OD tech is amazing. Very funny, great customer service. Ed the manager also was great, he greeted me right away! I love excellent customer. Daniel was great as well. He’s the branch manager. Ed and Daniel both assisted me in finding frames making it a very personal experience. Great job guys! I’ll most definitely come back!

Just had a great experience with the staff here at Stanton Optical. I was able to call and book a contact lens appointment in the same day, which was really convenient. The staff was really friendly, kind and super helpful. Ty was so understanding and willing to help out with insurance issues and even gave us a special deal for the inconvenience. Great customer service, high quality eyeglasses and contact lenses and a really professional attitude!

Be cautious with this place. they advertise for a $ 79 glasses including bifocals. My glasses ended up costing over $ 300 for two pair, on a recent eye appointment I was told the glasses that this company made did not match my prescription. I am now using for my new prescription an online service which is about 80% less expensive my suggestion is to do your homework before final decision to purchase.

After several readjustments and a redo because I couldn’t live with paying for 2 cheap looking glasses for $ 400, I finally have 2 pair of decent glasses that should last 2 years. I ended up paying $ 400 for a pair of progressive transitions with the extras and a pair of vanilla backup glasses. If I could do it over again I would look at all the displays before settling for the cheap frames along the front wall. No, if I had to do it over again I would pay for an exam and go elsewhere! I can name two places that you would receive decent service and reasonable prices — JCPenney and Walmart. It was a hard lesson learned.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before I went here. I HAVE wear glasses on a daily basis because I have horrible vision. Unfortunately my 1 year old daughter got a hold of my glasses and I can’t find them anywhere! I used to have vision insurance through kaiser and my glasses were usually $ 100 out of pocket so I had no idea the cost of glasses without insurance paying for a portion of the cost. I had an exam on Friday March 13th and they couldn’t find me on the appointment calendar. The receptionist made my appointment for Saturday! It’s a simple mistake so I wasn’t upset and they were able to get me in within 15 minutes. The girl that did my pre-exam was very friendly. However The optometrist was so rude! He’s the Asian guy. Didn’t get his name as he didn’t give it to me nor wore a name tag. So after my eye exam I asked about the two for $ 78 deal. Omg the frames were so damn ugly!!! So I was offered buy one get one free. I picked out two frames(regular and sunglasses) and both were $ 129 each which wasn’t too bad. Then the district manager went over the pricing with me and I was in shock! $ 428 for two pairs of glasses! WTF??? Since I no longer have vision insurance I figured that this was normal pricing. I was also told that it can take up to a month to get my glasses. I was also told that that was the worst case scenario but now reading the reviews it seems like I won’t get them for a few months. With kaiser I got them the next day! I can’t see for crap so it’s been so hard going this long without glasses. I told a family member about my experience and she said Costco and Walmart are cheaper than this! And you get your glasses within a few days. It hasn’t been less than a week and I hope to get them sooner rather than later. I also hope that I don’t have any issues with scratched lenses or frames being damaged. And I better not go through waiting for months and then to be told they’ve been in the store for weeks and they haven’t been able to get a hold of me… cause if so they will see the ghetto Stockton girl in me! Lol

Terrible place! I ordered 2 pairs of sunglasses witch took almost a month to arrive. When I went to the store to pick them up they tried to give me 2 totally different glasses then the ones I ordered. They also wouldn’t refund me my money. Go to lenscrafters, this place is horrible

I called and made an appointment at the stockton office. When I first got there the lady behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude. I forgot her name but she had like red or pink hair so you can’t miss her. I was about to walk out honestly she was definitely having a bad day. So she told me that they don’t do contact exams on Friday and Saturday. So I had to reschedule; when I booked the appointment that was never mention to me. She was so rude I didn’t even bother making another appointment I said never mind and made an appointment for the location in Modesto. Modesto location had the BEST customer service. They were very attentive and super friendly.

I would just like to say this is my first visit to stanton optical. I was greeted by Jeff. He took the insurance info and his manager Ty was able to get us a better deal than my insurance so we bought 4 sets of glasses for a great deal. Jeff was able to help us and even stayed after closing not rushing us to make sure we had the frames we wanted and the add-ons for the glasses were correct. I would like to commend him and say he and the staff there made us stanton customers for life by the very professional attitude they presented. I recommend if Jeff is not a manager or in training to be one he should be.

I went to Stanton Optical with a coupon, I was fooled into thinking I would get a good deal. My glasses did not come when they said they would. I had to call them to ask why there was a delay, and then I got the run around. The service was terrible and it took a long time to finally get my glasses, so I do not recommend Stanton Optical.

It’s been about 3 weeks since NY dad went to get his eyes checked. No calls at all from Stanton staff, so I called today and was put it on hold for 10 minutes. Ridiculous! Gave the last name, then put it on hold again. Next asked for me to spell the last name again on hold. One pair arrived, but the other should be in later on today. Planning on picking up the glasses and never doing business here again. Worse customer service then Walmart.

I’ve never needed glasses… Or so I thought. Until my exam. So I was nervous about selecting a pair that fit my face and were«in» right now. But the customer service rep was super nice, helpful, personal and wasn’t going to let me fail at picking out my first pair of glasses!(can’t remember her name) I ended up getting 2 pairs! And they were in store for me to pick up under 2 weeks!
