I’m so glad I found lien. Her cakes are delicious, she made my son’s 1^st birthday cake and cupcakes and she did an amazing job. I live in TX, and we communicated over emails and phone calls. So I was really unsure at how they would come out, But the cupcakes, and the cake were perfect and exactly how I pictured it. My guest and I loved the cupcakes and my son loved his cake it was very light and not too sweet. If I’m ever back in stockton and need a baker she will definitely be my number 1!!!

Don’t let the name fool you… at first I was a little hesitant to go with a business named «The Dirty Spatula» but I gotta tell you… THESE CUPCAKES WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Better than any cupcake I have ever eaten (and I eat a lot of cupcakes!). Lien is really easy to work with and had lots of suggestions for me. I ordered two dozen cupcakes for a bridal shower with 16 guests and there were no leftovers! She made us the chocolate Oreo cupcake with a buttercream frosting which was downright decadent (there’s actually an Oreo baked into the bottom of the cupcake) and a vanilla cupcake with fresh strawberries inside and fresh strawberry icing. Everyone LOVED them! So moist and definitely homemade… no way this came from a box! She even offered to deliver for a small fee but she was so close to my home, it wasn’t necessary. I highly recommend «The Dirty Spatula» … 5 star review hands down… and look forward to my next gathering to have her bake us some more. Check them out on Facebook too. The baby cake pops were a hit at my sister’s baby shower! Lien adds a lot of detail to her orders and does a beautiful job compared to local bakeries. Anyone would be satisfied doing business with her when ordering cakes, cake pops or other desserts for a special occasion. :)

I’ve worked with Lien on a couple weddings as a wedding coordinator and she is beyond FLAWLESS! She is so committed in making your customizations amazingly perfect and everything you’re trying to envision become real. The most difficult part of being happy with baked creations is always the TASTE. Anyone can design awesomeness, but the taste has to be spot-​on. And man, oh man, does the Dirty Spatula deliver! Holy cow!
Each bride has been overly satisfied (especially with a bazillion ideas/​choices, picky relatives and high requests). I, myself, have ordered cookies and cakes for my parties and jaws keep dropping each time! After the shocks, they ask for her contact info immediately.
She’s a gifted crafter and totally precise with all her designs. Lien is professional, dependable and very punctual. Her prices are reasonable and she will work hard until you are completely confident in what you want. Each event that features her creations gains more and more fans.

Lien made our wedding cake and it was both beautiful and delicious. The cake had a caramel and Nutella frosting inside and was topped with a layer of fondant ruffles that were just adorable. The frosting was delicious and the cake was moist and decadent. We plan to order the same cake again at our 1 year anniversary so we can enjoy it all over again.
The bird cake-​toppers were made by hand by Lien and were absolutely adorable. She made my bouquet on my bird to match my bouquet and the groom’s bird to match him as well. They were adorable. She does excellent work with fondant.

I ordered my friend’s baby shower cake from Lien and was AMAZED by the results! I sent her a photo of the design I had in mind and the cake turned out better looking than the original! I was very impressed by Lien’s attention to detail and my friend was very pleased as well. The lemon flavoring of the cake was spot on too! Not too tart, not too sweet. LOVED IT!!! Thanks Lien & The Dirty Spatula. Lien and John also delivered the cake all the way to Dublin for us! Can’t beat customer service like that!

My friend had her baby shower sweet treats (cake-​pops, cookies, cupcakes) all made by The Dirty Spatula and they were so awesome. The flavors, yummy-​ness, and attention to detail for all the treat’s decorations are very impressive. All reasons why I had them do my hat-​themed bridal shower cupcakes. Each cupcake had all the fixings, a candied floppy hat, and the expected high standards. It was such a hit, the only issue for me was that I didn’t make a big enough order :-) Thank you again and will order again real soon!

This place is great. good cakes. I ordered a velvet cake for my wife’s brithday. it was very well decorated and tasteful. I ordered a second for my son’s 1^st birthday. It had these cute baby trinkets and was a big hit at the party. Thank you i will order again.

The «Wow Wow Wubbzy» cake I ordered for my sons 2^nd birthday was amazing! It looked exactly like the character! The cake was soft, moist, and had a perfect amount of sweetness! Not only did the kids love it, the adults loved it too! I was so happy with how the cake turned out! I attached a photo so you can see for yourself how much of an awesome job she did! =) Lien, the baker, was so nice, she even delivered the cake to our event. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back for future events!

the red velvet cupcake is amaaaazing! the cake is superb and the richness from the frosting compliments it perfectly. everyone you NEED to try these cakes~you’re in for a yummy surprise!
