I came in earlier today and was greeted by Doug, the owner. I came in to replace the batteries for two of my watches and to ask about replacing the band for another watch. Their prices are reasonable and the service is great. Both Doug and the gentleman on the computer were polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this business for repairing your watch or purchasing a new one!

Excellent customer service, experts in Rolex watches. Knowledgeable and competent. I will definitely be back for my Rolex purchase.

Time Honored Staff:
” It will take about 15 minutes to replace the batteries, $ 12 each, do you mind waiting or would you like to come back and pick them up?“
Me:
I’m not in a hurry so I’ll just wait.
Staff: Ok, I’m going to finish with this customer, thank you.
Customer A:
Have you traveled to Europe? Western, or Eastern Europe?
Customer B:
Yes, I’ve taken the Danube Tour from the Black Sea, The Crimea, then into Germany on the River Cruise.
Customer A:
Yes, absolutely a fantastic cruise. I did this cruise when I was living in Frankfurt.
Customer B:
Amazing how you can span from Russia to Germany from The Black Sea and the Danube. We actually started our tour from Istanbul…

Walks in the door, addressing the proprietor «Hey, look what I found in Beverly Hills, this classic Rolex watch built in the 70’s. (The Jeweler here really know his stuff as he breaks down the value of the watch, citing some very inside knowledge of numbers, style, design, bezel etc. very specific and detailed but not condescending, a pure genuine interest in the watch)

Me:
So do I get a discount for being local, I’ll also write up a nice review on Unilocal so your business will increase greatly (kind of like the Colbert Bump).
Time Honored Staff: Sure, we can do $ 20.
Me: OK, that’s what I calculated to be a fair price, that’s a 16.66% discount. Thank you and check for your Unilocal Review tomorrow, take care!
Not exactly a Tarantino script, but if a robbery took place soon thereafter you might have something very Pulp Fiction.

I took my seiko watch into this place for repair or a new battery, only to be told that it was broken and could not be repaired. He then instructed me that even seiko would not be able to repair it, so, not to even bother.
A few months later I took it to another company for a second opinion and they said it was simply the battery. They put in a new battery and it is working great.
So…be careful.

Doug is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I went in a few months back looking to buy a gift for my dad. Doug knows what he’s talking about and really took the time to help me find what I had in mind. You can tell he truly cares about what he does, and art in general; this is why I’m skeptical of the reviewer claiming Doug tried to sell him a fake Rolex. Based off the service I received, I doubt Doug would compromise his reputation like that.
If you’re looking for excellent service from a knowledgeable and certificated person, I highly recommend Doug at Time Honored.

I strongly disagree with any notion that Doug and his shop are anything short of first class.
I discovered Doug’s shop about 6 – 8 months ago and it has been like an oasis in a desert. There is another shop off Pershing but they are tiny and don’t sell high end watches. Devon’s sells new rolex watches but can’t complete repairs on site and must outsource everything (minimum 6 weeks). Doug is highly trained, personable, does the repairs onsite, has about a one week turn around and warranties his work for two years. You can’t beat that.
What’s even more impressive is his character. I was initially going to buy a watch from Doug’s shop but found a better deal online. Not did only Doug authenticate the watch for me but he was honest and up front and let me know that he couldn’t beat the price. Moreover, he still cut me a great deal on a full service and polish.
Doug earned a life long customer that day. You just don’t get that kind of customer service and honesty every day.
My next watch will be purchased from Doug’s store or taken there immediately for service. No questions asked.

This guy seems shady. We inquired about a Rolex he had for sale but it included no box, papers or service records. When we asked how we might determine its authenticity, Doug told us ‘This is not the right watch for you, good luck in your search’.
Huh?
This demonstrated to us in no uncertain terms that he clearly was selling a fake and knew it, yet he was asking the same price as an authentic Rolex!

Yes, this used to be a Sees Candy. With one of the coolest little buildings on the mile, Time Honored is a legitimate watch/​jewelry shop. Doug, the owner, is super knowledgeable and friendly. Although his credentials are legit, with an MA from Sotheby’s Art Institute, (the same Sotheby’s of prestigious art auction house fame), he won’t judge you if need a battery replaced for your Timex (and he might even graciously say what a dependable watch you have there.) It’s also cool to gawk at all of the vintage watches for sale. One day I will buy something. Stop trying to change your watch battery by prying it open with a dull screwdriver. Treat yourself to a professional.
