This place is delicious and absolutely convenient for me since I go to the Inshape gym just next door. Definitely a go to after the gym especially when I want to make some raw fish gains lol. The daily sushi roll deals are great and the bento box is just mouth watering. One of my favorite go to sushi spots in Stockton.

Visited this place for the fist time today. I have mixed feelings. The quality of the fish was good overall, however one of my slices of yellow tail was overly fishy tasting, suggesting it wasn’t as fresh as the others.
Though the sake (salmon) sashimi was tasty, the slices were incredibly thin, which was a big disappointment for me. For the sashimi meal price point, I was expecting more. Getting a nice thick cut of sake is what the sashimi experience is all about in my opinion, and allows you to really savor the flavor.
The hostess/​waitress was incredibly nice and provided exceptional service. This is where the place really shined. She alone is a major reason why I’m still somewhat impresses with Tora.
They do however need to increase the thickness and quantity of the sake sashimi slices. I know it’s a tough economy, but it’s tough on patrons too, and we are expecting to get out money’s worth.
If Tora can improve on this, then they have my vote for increased star count and a return visit. You could also count on me recommending Tora to my friends and colleagues.

Tora is my go to for sushi. Great food at great prices. Staff is nice and friendly. Wish there was more seating, but hey, there’s only so much room in thier restaurant, they make use of what they have. Love this place.

Let’s just say I will not be coming back here soon, my boyfriend and I ate her and it was not good. Our ROLL had shrimp tempura and it was still hot when they made it, and it through the whole roll off and it tasted disgusting, no wonder why it was empty when we came RED FLAG!

This is by far our favorite sushi spot. Brandon is amazing and I’ve never had a sushi roll I didn’t like. We’ve been coming to Tora for about 8 years. We now live an hour and half away and when we’re in town always try to stop in! Worth it!

My BF and I LOVE going here! it’s a very small, family owned type restaurant. It’s quiet and relaxing, service is friendly and the sushi is amazing! I only really ever go here for sushi (and I’m super picky!) my favorite roll is called «The Roller Coaster Roll» — with cream cheese added to it! It’s 50% off every Wednesday, it keeps us coming back every week.

Tora sushi always has great service, even on their busier nights. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly and so are the waitresses and sushi chefs. The rolls are really great. If I’m in the mood for sushi made quickly and at a decent price, this is where I go all the time. The owner/​main sushi chef comes out with new, creative sushi rolls himself.
The service is always great, as well. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. We get seated as soon as we get in and they’re with us quick. They have a lot of regulars all because of the incredibly welcoming service from the owner and the waitresses. That, plus all the sushi is fresh and made with care.
You should definitely try the sushi wings, they come out fast and they’re really good! My favorite roll is the College roll, but I also get the salmon teriyaki if I’m not feeling sushi for the night. Their Hot Night Roll is really good too! Definitely check out the specials for each individual day, you can get your favorite for half off if you come on the right day.

I got the udon, and it was okay. I’ve definitely tasted better udon in town before. The ingredients for the udon also seemed a bit random and didn’t really go well together. I left full but not really satisfied.
Also this restaurant has a weird smell. It smells like there’s water in the carpet, and it’s getting moldy. I actually considered getting up and leaving because of the smell.

This is really 3.5 stars for me but I rounded down because of the price. I think anyone who buys the special rolls outside of the daily special is CRAZY– and probably even then!
$ 15.99 for rolls that should cost probably $ 10, is ridiculous. What did I order? I ordered the Tuesday special rolls: lucky 7 and lucky delight. I was impressed when it came out, but neither were memorable taste wise… not the worst, not the best. I’ve gone to a lot of sushi places– this is probably the worst case of MARK UPS that I’ve ever seen!
**Most if not all sushi prices on the menu posted here on Unilocal about 10 months ago are a $ 1 more.

Stopped by for a late dinner. The service was fast and friendly. I had a Combination Tempura dinner and my dining partner had the Beef Teriyaki dinner. We also ordered a California Roll to share.
The Miso soup was very good but the salad was pretty tasteless. We both enjoyed the California Roll which was fine but nothing special.
I liked the tempura okay. It had an assortment of shrimp, veggies and some kind of salmon on a stick. I think next time I would just get the appetizer of Shrimp Tempua. My dining partner said the Beef Teriyaki was fine.
Neither of us ate the rice that came with the dinner or the salad. I would be willing to try this place again because of the fast and friendly service.

The waiter mixed our food & it’s super expensive for even mixing our foods up. I went with my sister and ended up billed with $ 70 for only 3 sushis and those were from the «sale» too. Plus we were like the only ones and they took forever. If you want real services & good sushi go to Noma

Food isn’t very impressive. I had a Tora roll and my rice, along with my friend’s sushi rice was mushy. This is definitely a no no for sushi. If you can’t get this down, there’s a problem. And my shrimp was wet… I’m not sure what they did to it. My side salad was not very good either. Why is my creamy sesame dressing sour? I didn’t like it at all. The only ok thing was the fried banana dessert. Customer service gets a 4 star. She was pretty alert, but we had to ask for a lot of our things.

Pretty disappointed with this place. I love sushi and I’m not sure if it was because I ordered Togo but I had barely any sushi and all rice. I even ordered something with asparagus ontop and I got fried onions? When I came to pick up my order the place seemed disorganized. The only reason I even decided to order sushi here was because its one of the only ones that are open on a Sunday.

Very good sushi good prices good service! Highly recommend! My younger brother and i went there and ordered the chefs’ choice and they served us those two monster rolls. In addition we ordered a rainbow roll to top us off, everything was delicious with generous servings as well definitely a must try. I will be coming back to eat there again

First time here and it was YUMMY!!! The miso soup was delicious. My husband got the Big Bang roll, Ring of fire roll and both we’re amazing. I got the sushi and salad combo. The roll I got was tiger roll with California salad. So much food and we end up taking food home :).
I’m sure going back when I head back to Stockton.

Best Sushi spot in Stockton! Hands Down, I don;t even care.
Tora saved my sushi life, After our favorite sushi spot in Stockton was taken over by a horrible, massage-​y man, we searched across the land for a spot we really dug.
Tora had it all! They have a FANTASTIC happy hour, Fish is the freshest, and service is perfect.
I loved the decoration, and the set up. Prices are fair, not as expensive as like Cocoro’s or Domo, but way better sushi than say Sho-​Mi or Sho-​Gun.
Go To Tora!. . get the cherry blossom roll, and try some Nigiri.
