I frequented Video Game Swappers. They were way ahead of their time. Like the name suggests, you could trade your used video games for credit to buy more used or new video games. A pretty sweet deal when you are 12 and have no income. There’s only so much you can do with a game after you’ve beat it 25 times. The bad thing was, the guys who worked there were assholes. They always ignored me, they would just keep playing the hottest new Super Nintendo game in the back room (Street Fighter II). It pretty much sucked. I’m mostly pissed that I traded in so many of my great NES games for shitty Super Nintendo titles. Hey, I couldn’t face my friends without knowing Ryu’s special moves! They were desperate times.
