The name says it all, it’s really really good. I buy it online sometimes when I don’t go up to my friend’s cabin. The price is actually pretty decent compared to Jack Links/Oberto etc in the grocery store. Costco probably cheaper but much less good.

If your in the area you must stop and pick up the best jerky in town. Its the best I’ve had in years, it tasted fresh and was not on the chewy side. Glad I found this gem in the middle of cherry orchards :)

This is a Jerky Shack for Western Sky’s Jerky. Driving by on my way to Stainislaus National Forest what did I spy but a farmer selling produce, and next to them a jerky shack! Considering I was going camping and hiking for the weekend, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to buy some jerky. There were a number of jerky choices available: Buffalo, Alligator, Elk, Ostrich, and Venison all advertised on the sign, although there were a few different flavors of each inside. The guy who was manning the cart recommended the beef when asked for his recommendation; he said it is the best value. We decided to go with something a little off standard and got the Elk jerky. The jerky was good, he was helpful and I’d get some again if I was in the area. However, the Elk tastes a lot like beef. Maybe next time I’ll try Ostrich or Alligator.
