This is come good pie, especially for the shore. My nephew consumed a whole pepperoni and declared it the best pizza he had ever had (he is from Texas). I had a couple of slices of shroom, and we did some beach takeout over the weekend. All in all, everyone was jealous of us eating Mack’s on the 83rd St beach, and they had good reason to be. This is good pizza and friendly service. Love that they pile on the cheese!

Probably would give it a five but have only been there twice so need to go a few more times to make sure its consistently great. The pizza is really awesome and the crust is perfection. I have only had plain cheese so cannot comment on toppings. It annoyed my mom that u could not get a glass of water but had to pay for bottled water instead. Wish they took credit cards too as I hate carrying cash on vacation. But its not unusual as so many places in Avalon and SH only accept cash. I will be back.

Nice staff and quick service which was nice with 6 kids.
Sadly the pizza is terrible.
I would guess that the cheese is the most expensive part of a pizza and there was also none and the sauce was dripping.
Also they are cash only which is always shady in my book. There is an atm though.

Really good pizza, if overpriced, and super quick service — I ordered a pie at 4:00 and was served at 4:07. Points for the simple menu, which lists just a handful of specialties and no superfluous wings, mozz sticks, etc. More points for offering my favorite topping, broccoli rabe, and bonus for the no-​fee ATM.

I’ve been to Mack’s a couple of times this summer and have been highly satisfied each time. We got take out both times and tried a variety of pizzas.
I’ve tried 3 different pizzas here:
1. Pepperoni, sausage and onions
2. Plain cheese pizza
3. Meatball and red roasted pepper and onion
I seriously can’t stop eating this pizza. Now I need to find a good exercise program to help this delicious pizza get off my waist line! haha.
Quick Notes: The service is very fast. Our order for 3 pizzas took about 14 mins total… and don’t forget to bring money since it’s a Cash Only establishment.

The pizza was as expected, pricey but boardwalk-​ish so we cant really complain.
I took offense to their «caesar salad». It was a complete waste of money. Shredded warm romaine, weird parmesan and 6 not homemade croutons. the kicker was that «dressing». It was basically oil and vinegar. Nothing caesar about it AT ALL. What the heck kind of excuse was that stuff?
Oh and its cash only. makes sense since to keep your income off the books when your being investigated for tax evasion.

Best pizza on the shore hands down. Probably one of the best slices I’ve ever had. The crust is great, the sauce is nice and sweet and the cheese is high quality. If you’re anywhere near Stone Harbor, for sure stop here.

Seriously fucking update your menu. I hate nothing more than an outdated menu full of misinformation pizzas are solid but absolute bullshit when I just called 5 minutes ago and the girl that answered unpleasantly tells me“oh that menu is outdated from last year” I inquire oh so last year u delivered must now u don’t? «She says yes». Seriously update your menu so I don’t waste my time calling you for delivery when the website says «delivery». Limited delivery as long as I can remember still means you fucking deliver. If the menu n website actually doesn’t lie then j would give maybe 4/4.5 stars but as of this minute absolute disappointment is all I feel

Four years ago I wrote a review for Mack’s, giving them only 3 stars. After the pizza I had last week, I really do need to update my review and give them 5 stars. Maybe they had a down season or two, but this summer they are definitely making some delicious pizza. I had another pie last night and again it was awesome. I went with a pepperoni, sausage, and onion. It’s a lot and I wouldn’t do it every time, but damn it was delicious and I had to stop myself from eating all of it.
Good job Bob!
UPDATE (ONE MONTH LATER): Still 5 stars after returning four times since I wrote the review again. Definitely the best pizza place at the Jersey Shore and maybe the best in the state!

Not quite the same as the old Mack & Manco’s that we grew up with and which warranted a trip to Ocean City… just for pizza. Macks does an admirable job of creating that thin crust boardwalk pizza and is worth a stop. Maybe that magic will continue for you… pizza karma… it’s real.

Not quite as good as the various Mack and Manco’s on the Ocean City Boardwalk, but still one of my favorite pizza places. The sauce is slightly sweet — just how I like it — and the crust is thin. However, a large pizza will run over $ 20, so I never order my usual additional toppings or get a second pie.

If you like a great «boardwalk pizza» Mack’s is for you. It tastes great and is crispy.

We stopped & decided to eat here after reading all of the reviews about Macks Pizza, most were positive reviews. When we first walked in we are told to seat ourselves, but there were NO clean tables. One of the staff comes out and starts clearing off the tables. We cleaned off our own. The temperature was stuffy and hot inside. Not comfortable at all. The pizzas were very good, so this made up for the dirty tables and stuffy temp. Our family enjoyed the thin crust pizza’s. Our youngest daughter especially loved the Fanta birch beer (root beer).

Great selection of pizza toppings and quick service make Mack’s the pizza place to go when in Stone Harbor. Delicious fresh ingredients like garlic and veggies litter the immense, 18′ pies. It’s a little pricey at ~$ 23 per specialty pie, but the great crust and topping combinations are worth it. They are cash only and don’t deliver, but pickup was very quick and our order was ready at a prime time in only about 15 minutes after calling.

This is a classic NY pie with a bit of a flakier crust. It’s got some crackle to it — not as chewy as a NY deli sli.
While the pizza was solid, there’s not really anything gourmet about it or the ingredients. The oven is not brick, the cheese is not buffala, the sauce is not San Marzano, the roni aren’t imported. You get it.
So with all that stacked against them, I’d say they deliver a superior pie compared to the local competition. Thoroughly satisfied.

Wow. This place seems to have gotten better!
Just had a couple slices during the week of August 26 but they were superb and could match any pizza anywhere. Wished I had more time to order a whole pie while was there. Do yourself a favor and order a pizza from Macks!

Average. Pizza was good, but not great. Also wasn’t as warm as I’d have liked it upon pickup. Keep in mind, this place is cash only, but they do have an ATM in back that is supposedly free of charge. Really? It’s 2012, why can’t you accept debit or cc’s?
Would I go back? Only maybe…
