Bob Bailey’s Tv and Appliance

This is a nice neighborhood appliance store that we shopped as an alternative to big chains such as Lowes. After all isn’t it important to support community stores? Well all that is great thought if the service is also on par or better than what you get from the impersonal big stores. The sales people were very helpful and attentive to our needs. We bought a great cooktop. After that it has been downhill. The store approved installer, Tim McKinsey, took his own sweet time showing up to the install. Although he was late, he did a great job in the initial install so we had him also fix our dishwasher and kitchen lights. The real problems started after that. We upgraded our countertop to a granite countertop. We called up Bob Bailey and they recommended using their installer, Tim. Since we had good experiences with Tim we were happy going down that route. Tim came in and installed the cooktop after the countertop was replaced– but incorrectly. Since then we have called him about a dozen times and have one call returned. In frustration we called Bob Bailey and they told me this morning (12÷12÷14) that the issue is now on «tim’s radar» and he will call shortly. Why it was not on «tim’s radar» already is beyond me. I called Tim after that message from Bob Bailey’s and guess what– no response. If Bob Bailey wants to differentiate themselves from the bigger competitors it has to be through excellent customer service. They certainly cannot on price since they don’t have the same leverage that big box chains do. But my experience with Bob Bailey has, on the whole, been less than satisfactory. I gave two stars because of the positive experiences at the beginning of the transaction. Otherwise I would have given one star. I hope Bob Bailey steps up and deals with the flaky support service soon. Otherwise we will certainly start looking for alternatives for our future needs… and we certainly will not be recommending them to our friends and family.

After wasting a lot of time with Lowes, I came here to look for a new gas cooktop. I should have come here in the first place. They carry a wide range of appliances, from affordable to make your head spin expensive. I needed something on the more affordable side, but I also needed something that would fit in a very specific space. Brett was very friendly, low pressure and sold me exactly what I needed. The installation crew called me when they were on their way and got to the house early. They were also very friendly and got the install done quickly and (more importantly) properly. And the installation was cheaper than Lowes. I will definitely be coming back the next time I need to purchase appliances.
Update: After a few days, I discovered the newly installed gas cooktop had a leak somewhere. Not good! After shutting off the gas supply, I called Brett late Monday afternoon and he had the installers back at my house first thing Tuesday AM. They quickly found the problem and got it fixed. Excellent service!

We purchased our appliances from Bob Baileys a year before we were able to install them in our renovated kitchen. They stored them for us and were so flexible when we had to keep changing our installation date. I have recommended to my friends and family that are upgrading their appliances that if you want great service, great prices and to support a local business~ this is the place to go. I will use them over and over again!
