Went in for a lunchtime trim yesterday. I asked for a basic trim, wash and blowdry. Keri did an amazing job. She was just friendly enough you could tell it was genuine. During the cut, she was very thorough and paid attention to details, such as accounting for my cowlick when cutting my bangs. Since I asked to trim off as little as possible, she took the time to inspect the ends of my hair as she cut to make sure she was cutting off just enough(dead ends). She trimmed the perfect amount. My hair does not look any shorter at all, but a whole lot healthier. she did a great job blow drying/styling it as well. This shop is very reasonably priced; «you get what you pay for» does not apply– I left with a perfect cut for very little money. I will be back, and will ask for Kerri.

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. The hair dressers are completely incompetent and they can’t follow a simple schedule. I called to make an appointment and arrived for my appointment and they said it would be an hour wait. What a dump

I’ve been going here since the mid-late 90’s(back when it was American Hair) and have usually left with fine(if not a basic) cut. Pros: You generally get few $ 2.00 coupons in the mail before you’re due for a trim. They open at 9:00 on a Saturday and don’t mind if you show up a couple of minutes early. Nice enough staff, some like to chat it up a bit, even if you’re not a fan of small-talk. No real cons, I’ve had a couple of cuts that was pretty far from what I was asking(i.e The Hank Hill), but the stylist has since left. Overall a great place with good prices!

This place was a disgrace. I walked in and as I was sitting in the chair the owner of the salon pulled the girl away into the back room I could hear him swearing and cussing his employee. I waited a few minutes and she didn’t come back out. The place was filthy. I used the ladies room and there was no soap no toilet paper and hair all over the salon. If an owner can scream and swear at his employees like that than I would never go back there. State board should shut that disgusting place down. Go somewhere else. Please. Not worth your money or time I felt terrible for that poor girl that he screamed at and fired her all while I was sitting in the chair. Horrible

This review is not based on 1 bad experience at Cost Cutters. It is based on several over the course of 2 years. They can cut hair, I will give them that. Their managment and customer skills are another matter. I walk in yesterday, everyone is busy so I have a seat. I waited 45 minutes before they even asked my name. During that time, one man came in after me and was greeted kindly. Another man came in and was given an estimated time for his appointment. Yet, I still sat there feeling invisible not knowing when I would get a hair cut. It would have been nice if they took my name and let me know it would be 45 minutes. I would have grabbed a coffee and a bite to eat. Instead, they chose to ignore a customer. On another occasion I was told that they were too busy and that I should drive around and come back. Not sure how they stay in business but the owner should really take an in depth look at how their stylists are performing when it comes to customer satisfaction. Not satisfied, not going back.

My husband and I went in there last Friday night to get our haircut. I brought in a picture of what I wanted. Needless to say the girl that cut my hair botched it up badly. She started cutting behind my ear and that’s not what the picture was. I got really angry and said«what are you doing, that’s not what the picture is». Another hairstylists came over and looked at it and they wanted to do A Symmetrical and I said«absolutely not». I told her just to clean it up. I was so unhappy I wanted to cry. My husband was next and she cut his hair too short. We have decided to go someplace else. I’m not going to recommend this place to anyone. Though they didn’t charge me for the cut, I did tell them I would never be back. What a waste of time. Now I have to let it grow out some before I can go back and get it the way I want it.

I have been using this salon for a while and I need to say that this place is pretty good with quality of performance and enough of courtesy and friendliness. Its not a buckingham palace salon and you should not expect the world class stylist. I wish other places will do such excellent job — professionally and efficiently. Thank you guys for your services.

I didn’t go into the haircut with high expectations, knowing that you get what you pay for. However, I would say that this place is much better than Supercuts. I went in with a picture of how I wanted the cut to look, and it did actually resemble what I wanted. It obviously wasn’t the quality you’d get at a high end salon, but for $ 20, it wasn’t half bad. Another plus, I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes here, whereas Supercuts on a Saturday has a line out the door.

I’ve had 2 experiences with this place and I’m never going back. The first: I walked in looking to have a quick eyebrow wax and after standing around for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come out of the back area, I was told they’d get around to me. I asked about how long will the wait be. The woman said they were out of wax strips and someone would have to go get more. I said, ok how long. The woman said whenever we get around to it. So I left. The second: My husband went in for a haircut. There was only one woman working who said she was the regional manager and she doesn’t cut hair anymore but since she was the only one there she’d do it. She gave him the worst haircut he’s ever had. It was uneven and she practically made him bald in the back. Both times the employees were rude and service was awful. Do NOT go here.
