Daystar Tanning

SO clean, always has friendly people working.
I love the beds here too. Especially the Sunboard… I always get amazing color.

I have been going to Daystar for about 2 years off and on and always had a great experience there. I don’t tan well and had little experience tanning but the staff was always excellent and always made me feel comfortable. I haven’t been there for about 6 months but I’m going to Cancun next week so I decided to go in for some sessions about 2 weeks ago. When I walked in there was a new girl at the counter that I never saw before. The girl who used to work there was really nice and always helpful but this new girl talked a million miles a minute and all over the place. It took me and my girlfriend 15 minutes just to check in with her while she was sending text messages and talking to some guy that walked in behind us who appeared to us to be her drug dealer or something. He walked in cut in front of us, she put us on hold and he went right into the booth she was setting me up in. Ok whatever, not a big deal I guess. We both went in and left after. When we went back 2 days later it was the same deal, now we are thinking she’s on drugs because of the way she was acting. Again, it took forever to check us in and get us in our booths and when I went into mine it was filthy with someone else’s dirty towel still on the floor. I came out and asked for a clean towel and she freaked out because she never cleaned the room after the last person so I had to wait for her to do that. The place was dead when we went in and didn’t seem busy at all. I just get a sketchy feeling in this place now for some reason and don’t feel comfortable like I used to. We also asked about the referral rewards that’s listed on their website that says if you refer someone to Daystar you get the same package that they purchase for free. Since I referred and brought my girlfriend I thought I’d get this. I was told that since they are under new ownership that they are not offering this anymore. I said «but it’s on your website» and was told that the new owner isn’t doing it anymore and there’s nothing they can do about it. I won’t go back, steer clear of this place if you can.

I’ve been going to Daystar tanning on and off for about 6 months now. I previously had no tanning experience and was a little nervous about the whole trend, however I wanted to look fabulous for my sister’s fall wedding and decided to get a little color.
I tried a few places out before Daystar and they all seemed old and dirty and honestly a little scary! The staff at Daystar are wonderful and explained the machines to me and anything else I wanted to know, «in detail». I wasn’t confused at all about the equipment.
They have a variety of inexpensive tanning packages and also offer the Mystic spray tan for a great price. I also love that they offer booths and beds, at different levels. I am a big baby with crazy fair skin, so I do not dare go over level 1. Hey listen, the booths are scary and loud to me and I’m not as brave as most ladies!
Give Daystar a try. It is a cute, down to earth salon with a trendy vibe and GREAT customer service. I enjoy going there knowing I’m going to see a friendly face and have a relaxing experience and get a great tan! The staff even asks for updates on my wedding. They are really awesome!
P. S. They take credit cards but you have to spend I believe at least $ 15. If you are going for only one visit, bring your green.

Alright so I have never been tanning before. But of course I want to look amazing on my big wedding day so i decided to head off to the tanning salon.
As I had never gone before, i really knew nothing. The girl behind the counter… margarita…what a cool name! Was so helpful and did not pressure me into anything but provided some good guidance.
I got an unlimited month at a level 2 for $ 59…not sure how that compares to other salons but it was cheaper then paying for every session. Plus it is right around the corner from my house so I save on gas!
They don’t accept appointments you just walk right in whenever you are ready to tan. They have booths, beds and this cool yet intense looking uva tanning bed that will turn your skin that nice brown look after you have built up a good tan!
