Staff: ‘What are you doing? Just standing here?’ Not sure if this is this staff member’s idea of asking ‘do you need any help?’ and though maybe the first question could be understood as that(maybe I answered nothing? I don’t know, I do remember being barked at and the second question and the exact phrasing for the second question for sure), but long story short, not coming back, and I’ve never been talked to this way, especially so out of nowhere. It seems to be a nice shop in terms of selection of stuff, so my wife decided to try out some clothes. For what it’s worth we were hoping this would be a place we could recommend. While my wife was changing I was waiting outside the dressing room looking around. A woman, part of the staff, pretty much came to me and barked the above out of nowhere. I told her I’m waiting for my wife and she left me alone, as if I needed to justify my presence in a store. My wife insisted we do buy whatever she was trying on afterwards so maybe staff will treat the next couple like us better. It would have been difficult to confront anybody without looking like the crazy young people from out of town making a scene, since clearly nobody else was getting that treatment. But I seriously don’t care what the reason was for that behavior, there was no excuse for it, never happened to either of us before, and I can’t recommend this place in good faith.

Definitely add this shop to your list of places to visit in Stonington! Tucked off of the main street in a modest little section of town, it feels like both a surprise and a secret. Beautiful linens, tunics & dresses, hand soaps(Olivina for a steal!), cards and clutches. And an amazing corner of children’s toys! Items from Rich Frog and Manhatttan Toy Co. at nearly half the price. Cute tees and tunics for the kiddos too. I picked up a pair of le Petit Garage shorts, two beautiful wooden toys, hand soap and couple string bracelets for under $ 40. A haul that would have been over $ 75 elsewhere. Happy shopping!

I was just there for the first time yesterday. Incredible. I bouught 4 Smith & Hawkins pots, a quilt, a David Yurman style necklace and lots of soap, All for about a third of what I normally would pay. Don’t know how they do it, but I am glad She’s Back! {love the name too!)

Janis and Ron Albimonte have created a hipper version of their former store, FUNCO with incredible linens, clothing, soaps, jewelry and anything else they find along the way at the most incredible prices around. This is a REAL discount store. I go there at least once a week just to see what they have gotten in before it is gone.
