Terrible manager promotes negative vibe around small town gossip. Could Be nice venue with friendly staff but that’s not the case.

This place is decent enough. They have a nice patio overlooking the river. Usually pretty quiet on weeknights. The bar is quite small but they have a few tables to sit at. There is no kitchen. The cocktails are pretty good and the service is fair. The bartenders(mostly college age girls) seem to be their own world, at times– the other patrons seem to also be workers there(current or former), or friends of the bartenders, so anytime I’ve been there, the bartenders just chatter away in the corner with a few other people and do their own thing. Everyone seems to know one another here at this bar, so if you’re not from the area, you may feel uncomfortable– like you’re walking in on a private party of sorts. They’ll oftentimes all go off and smoke in the back room which is kinda weird.(***The place just reeeeks of smoke, btw***). Last time I was here, the bartenders were on their laptops looking at youtube. Missy is a great bartender, though. Karaōke nights seem to draw a bit of a crowd… it is a small place, so this makes for a very loud bar to go to on certain nights if you’re not into karaōke. There’s a wide variety of patrons here. Fairly clean place, not too slummy,(besides the smoke). Nice place to stop if you’re just looking to grab a cocktail and catch up with a friend. :)

Wife and I stopped here recently. Place has a nice atmosphere. We were there at 6pm on a weekday. The place was quiet. One bartender, and the three patrons seemed to be ownership. Our order of Korbel old fashonds was ok. Scratch, but no muddled fruit. The only real problem and the cause of the rating being a 2 was the smell of stale smoke when we walked in. Was pretty strong. Too bad.

Cully’s is trying to look like an Irish pub but they are still working on finishing the outside. No matter. The cocktails here are tasty, they have karaōke nights, and a deck looking over the Yahara River. No kitchen though but they do put out bar snacks for you.
