Immaculate Conception Church

Let’s preface this by saying that I’m not Catholic and at least a small part of me fully expected to be smote in some way when I crossed this threshold, even though I’ve done it once successfully before.
If you’re thinking about having an event here, just know right now that they don’t have a/​c and it will be hot in the summer. Both my sister’s wedding and her daughter’s baptism were done by Deacon Fran. He’s a nice enough guy, but he’s getting on in years and is one cranky old dude. Don’t leave a message for him and expect him to call you back (he won’t; he’ll complain that you talk too fast). Expect to hear some sad stories out of him… I might have wanted to hug him, if he weren’t so darned cranky.
They’ve got some really nice, extensive stained glass windows in the church, so if you’re going the Catholic route, you could do worse.
