Gavin Scott Salon & Spa

I recently moved here from Texas and was so happy to find such a wonderful salon. Sara is simply amazing with color and cut and and one of the nicest people I have ever met! I got lots of compliments on my hair after she worked her magic on my bob… The staff is super friendly and the hand massage and scalp massage are so relaxing… This is THE PLACE and I highly recommend it.

I have been going to Gavin Scott Salon every six weeks for nearly a year. The service is absolutely fantastic and the value is outstanding. I just can’t thank Katie and the staff of Gavin Scott enough for the amazing work they do. I have also started taking my four year old daughter to the salon. She loves it too! I highly recommend this business — just as it was highly recommended to me.

I have been going to Gavin Scott for about a year and a half. I started going because I was so impressed with everything they do for non-​profits in the community and I wanted to support a company that gives back. I keep going because my hair has never looked better. Anastasia does such a great job. Not a week goes by that I don’t get compliments on my cut and color.

I was there for the first time today. Great place, great service, great price.

I was visiting from Boston, but since I had some extra free time I decided to donate my hair to «Locks of Love.» I feel like I have had some bad luck with salons, but this one really renewed my faith in them! In immediately felt comfortable and taken care of! Angela was superb. Super easy to talk to and relate to! At the end of he hair cut (which was free because I donated), I wanted to tip a lot because I felt so happy with the service. I was disappointed to find out it was a no tip salon! She was so great! I would definitely recommend any one for this salon.

Great customer service and super friendly staff. They are always doing some type of philanthropic event too!

Update: Second visit. I went back to Anastastia, this time with a photo of the hairstyle I wanted. She listened very carefully to what I wanted, and my haircut turned out perfectly. She gave me tips on how to style my hair and what to use including how much and how to apply it. I am 100% satisfied with this haircut.
I was a bit dismayed to learn that Sarah, who did my pedicure was no longer with the salon.
I will definitely be returning to Gavin Scott.

I really liked it here!!! Amanda did my color and was awesome! BUT to get an evening or weekend appointment is too hard here! I tried to make an evening/​weekend appointment for September on August 8^th and the earliest they could get me in was September 29^th!!! I like to have my hair done more often then that, and need more flexibility… Therefore finding a new salon.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write a review of Gavin Scott. Listen up ladies: Gavin Scott is the best salon in the Akron/​Cleveland area — hands down.
There are some very specific things that make GS stand out from all other salons:
–No tipping policy
–Wine/​mimosas at appointments
–Hand and arm massage during shampoo
–Excellent for groups and parties
–Exceptionally polite and professional staff
I hate to mention this first, but Gavin Scott Salon has a NO TIPPING policy. It’s revolutionary! It’s a little weird at first, but the salon professionals seem very happy and the salon is always busy. (These owners are on to something…)
It is so nice to go to a salon that has some wine and champagne. At the end of a long day at work, NOTHING is better than a pedicure, wine, and a new magazine.
When you get your hair done at GS, you are taken into a dimly lit shampoo room. Your feet are propped up onto on footstool. Once conditioner is applied, the stylist covers your hair in a hot towel and procedes to give you a fabulous hand and arm massage.
GS is incredible for groups. The pedicure room is semi-​private and hosts 4 people, the manicure room also holds four people. I’ve been to GS for two different parties and both were amazing.
I go to GS for everything — haircuts, hair color, parties, and nails. I have been treated so well by so many people at this salon — Kristie, Sara Kinter, Annastasia, Sara B, Shannon, the list goes on!
Sara Kinter is amazing with hair — She really values giving you a color and cut that is easy to wear every day. At the end of our appointments, she always gives some easy styling tips.
Shannon is a color wizard — she instinctively knows how to make you look better.
Annastasia is a brow genius. 2 minutes and brows are on fleek.
Sara B. will give you the perfect mani-​pedi. She’s no-​nonsense when it comes to nail perfection.
I live in Cleveland and am happy to make the drive to Stow for the service at Gavin Scott. Just writing about this place makes me wish I was there. Go. Now.

Without a doubt the «IT» salon to go to. If you want a big city experience with a home town feel this place is for you. Every last stylist, nail tech, and massage therapist is top of their game and incredibly sweet. Even my husband knows them all by name because I talk about them all like they’re my family… lol. And I love that they give back to the community in so many ways… fund raisers, blood drives, donation programs, etc, etc.
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

Just had my hair done there today for the first time. The staff were all amazing, offering me a drink and anything else I needed. My stylist, Amy, took her time consulting with me to see what I wanted. My style turned out great and I am super happy with it! I would definitely recommend going here!

Upscale salon at a modern price! Super friendly staff! Quality and service is second to none! Fun environment where everyone puts their special touch to each customer. A non tipping salon, so that is a little different at check out, but would recommend to anyone!
