I love this get-away place from the hustle and bustle. I work in Springfield’s Industrial Park District and Common Grounds Coffee And Café is just a short drive for lunch. Very nice and friendly people who operate this business.

Flavorful sandwiches, delightful wait staff! fabulous ambience(old farm and fleet bldg), freshly baked bread make the paninis delicious. And with at least 6 different sandwiches, we should have stayed all week to try them all!!!

Great place, love the honey almond lattes. The staff are very friendly, and they always have a good seasonal coffee drink. I particularly love the chocolate croissant as its light, buttery, and flaky. You just have to make sure it is warm. The coffee is from brick and mortar in Springfield which I believe is one of the best local roasters. With a trip out of Springfield to enjoy.

I absolutely loved this place. It was so great and refreshing to come to a place where the service was fantastic and so was the tasty treats! Anytime I’m in Springfield, this is where I’ll be coming!

We recently moved to the Strafford area from Springfield and were pleasantly surprised to find such a great coffee shop in our new lil home town. Their beans are from coffee ethic which is known for the quality of their coffee and we just had lunch there the other day and it was delicious as well. We will be frequenting this place a lot more in the future. If you’re in the Strafford area you should stop by and check it out. And if you’re outside of Strafford it’s worth the drive for big city taste with a small town feel.

We are driving Route 66 and stopped here for a breakfast burrito and a cappuccino, both of which are unique and the best I have had in recent memory. The homade chocolate crossient drips hot gooey chocolate as you eat it. Absolutely amazing Missouri thank you.

Super friendly staff, clean and absolutely delicious sandwiches and drinks. I love the atmosphere, it is appropriately decorated for this style of café and would easily fit it next to high end shops. Highly recommended whether you are just passing through Strafford or from here. You will not be disappointed.

I’m from Fair Grove, Strafford’s neighbor and arch-rival, and I can’t believe that Strafford has such a great little coffee shop! They are clearly beating us on this score. The folks are friendly, the mocha was excellent, and the breakfast burrito was good and even a little innovative! All in all, exactly the sort of place our small towns need, and the sort of place at which I could become a regular.

This coffee shop is an amazing addition to Strafford. I’ve gone tons of times since they opened last year and it had consistently gotten better and better.

This coffee shop is a delight! I’ve had some of their frozen and some of their hot coffee drinks and they are always delicious. Their chocolate croissant is a ‘must-try’! If you’re in the Strafford area and in the mood for something sweet, don’t hesitate to give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a place that Strafford has needed for a long time. Homemade desserts, panani sandwiches(of which the Reuban is the best). I have probably tried every dessert made here and never found one I didn’t like. I like to take out my meals and I order there often. I just go on the website and order. Then 30 minutes later, walk in and pick up my sandwich. The atmosphere is wonderful and unique in a 100 year old building that has been lovingly restored. The staff is concerned about making your experience enjoyable.

Great throwback place… great coffee and breakfast penne sandwiches with their own baked sourdough bread. Attentive staff with a great AM attitude. Fast wifi– will come back for lunch soon.

We found the Common Grounds Café by chance, searching down a side street for a forgotten Post Office, in Strafford, Missouri. It’s the most unlikely thing you’d expect to find here: an Art Deco hipster café. It’s got everything a Portland, Oregon coffee shop longs for, yet lacks in authenticity: Old, re-furnished warehouse building, brick-stucco walls, refinished wood plank floors… Except it was already here, not shipped in brick-by-brick just for show. The coffee was a decent medium roast, with floral notes & a tangy finish. We had panini breakfast sandwiches, which were adorned with grapes. Highly recommended for a coffee connoisseur out in the road, looking for an oasis in a desert of ‘Kum n go’ coffee.
