Great server, food took a while but my ‘build your own burger’ was decent. My eating partner ordered the ‘bacon slamburger’ which came with meat cheese bacon and home fries. He had to stop after getting 2⁄3 thru because he felt like he was going to get sick. Meat was tasteless, cheese might have been the source of nauseous feeling. Fries were hot and decent. Place was relatively clean, 2⁄3 full so I guess someone appreciates the food. Not likely that we will return any time soon.

Sunday morning breakfast… it’s okay. They are understaffed, leaving people waiting to be seated, waiting in line to pay, servers walking by and not acknowledging anyone. I think the hostess is a manager, which is fine, but preoccupied. The strangest thing, they sent someone across the street to McDonald’s to get breakfast for the staff… should I be eating here? Only two servers for the whole restaurant leaves people sitting and waiting for quite a while. The food is not bad, but not great. I guess you can’t expect much from pre-made and frozen items. So-so.

Had different experiences towards the food… One day it was awesome. Another day it was a sodium attack… One day their hot sauce is thick and another day it was water down and tasted like plain salty vinegar… Their service isn’t the best no matter what time and day you come here… Service is okay at first then they tend to forget about you later… Servers are nice though… Either they need to hire more people or train them better… I experienced better food and service from other branches…

Girlfriend and I came in at 10pm on a Sunday night, looking for anything besides McDonald’s. Relatively active place, with 6 – 7 tables in use. Our waitress, Lexi, was very sweet and helpful, excellent service. Other reviewers claimed the food was awful… can’t say I have the same complaint. You have to know your market segment, of course. If you’re expecting the cocktail bar at the Ritz, you’re destined for disappointment. But for IHOP, Bob Evans, etc. class food, it was just fine.

This Denny’s was good when it first opened up but has gone down hill since. Service had been slow to very slow recently one taking 15 to 20 minutes after being seated before any server even came by to take our drink order. I don’t know if the servers are that bad or they are always short staffed or both. Also on a few occasions have had to listen to the edit staff complain to us about how busy they have been our how tired they are. Not really what I want to listen to when I go out to eat. If you order food make it breakfast food because they tend to mess up anything else. Once ordered a meatball sub and the meat was hard and inedible, possibly freezer burnt. A side of corn was so salty I was surprised there was corn with the salt. We have given this place many chances because it is so close and convenient but must say we are happy an IHOP is opening in front royal soon because we are giving up on this place for a while.

I haven’t been to a Denny’s in many years and tonight’s visit reminded me why. The food was terrible. The service was good. The place was new enough and appeared clean. Our server was good. But the food was 2nd rate at best. We got some dinner rolls before our meal. Blleecchh. What a terrible taste. I got the Meatloaf dinner with mashed potatos and onion rings. The Meatloaf tasted as if it had been frozen and were the thinnest slabs of Meatloaf I have ever seen. Kind of like eating a frozen Salisbury Steak dinner. The onion rings in my opinion were bad as well and I’ve never had a bad onion ring.

I know all chain restaurants seem the same but this Denny’s in particularly is very different(in a good way). Stopped by here to grab some dinner after seeing a sign from the road. The women who serve here are exceptionally kind and prompt. They also knew the menu well. Had one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches(crazy, I know)! Also enjoyed the different sides including dippable veggies to make me feel somewhat healthier. A lot of their customers seem to be regulars including seniors and children. I don’t live around here and wouldn’t really drive the 3 hrs to come back just for this Denny’s but I would definitely stop by again if I was down here.
