We were able to get a free sample of wines, their sweet wines were really great! Great prices too compared to where I usually get wines, which is at the vineyards on Long Island. Their wine slushies were awesome as well and come in a super cute mug.

This wine shop in Strasburg is nice break from sightseeing. The day I went a super nice lady was in charged and was very talkative while serving wine samples. I bought a well rounded zinfandel for the friends where I was staying in Downington but all the others were too sweet or too dry for my taste. It was expensive too at 30 bucks, but I wanted something nice for my friends. Weirdly enough I felt they knew price was steep as the lady in the register warned me about the price before ringing it. The winery is part of something called the Strasburg Shoppes, that also includes a bed and breakfast, a diner and an ice cream parlor. If you’re not into wines the ice creams are pretty awesome.

Nice selection of local wines. Staff is very friendly and went out of their way to create a Christmas basket of assorted wines that I had delivered locally.

I thought the shop was adorable but I just wasn’t crazy about their wines. The wine labels were adorable with pictures of flowers. The names of the wines were adorable. The staff lady was enthusiastic and friendly. however what it boils down to is… how does the wine taste? and honestly, its not that great. I am a sweet wine person and these wines were on the rough side of being a sweet wine. We did buy a bottle of the special edition pumpkin pie wine which is more like a spiced apple wine and were amused but also disappointed to learn that the wine was in a plastic bottle?! They need to switch to glass wine bottles and perhaps more on the wine crafting itself. I won’t be going back.

The name of the winery is technically the Tamanend Winery but the shop is affiliated with the Strasburg Creamery. You can try 6 samples for free which is worthwhile. They have some unique«wines» and one is an agave based drink that tastes like a wine margarita(it’s fermented but not distilled). It sounds crazy but it’s actually smooth and drinkable. My favorite white was the Irresistable which was a medium-dry riesling and it wasn’t badly priced at $ 15. They have jazz on Friday nights too.

Decent. No charge for samples. Wine is ok… but for a small downtown winery… great stop.
