The very rude owner is the reason I had to open up a Unilocal account. He points his finger in your face when he’s trying to make a point and shuts the lights off on your guests when you’re even over 1 minute of your time. If you want to continue to stay in business learn how to respect your customers.

My family has had a couple of events at Lazzat Banquets and we enjoyed our experience with them. The food is delicious. But I did go to an event recently where the host had requested different center pieces and chair covers, and the banquet hall folks had forgotten about that, so last minute, the banquet hall staff had to rush to put things together as guests walked in. I would say that whoever books this place needs to remind them of what was discussed closer to the day of the event. I’ve noticed that this is needed with most banquet halls, because they always seem to forget something. Overall, I personally had a good experience with them. Just a heads up though, if your event runs over time, the banquet hall staff will turn the lights off.

Someone catered food from here… Didn’t like my Vegetarian dishes at all. Jilebi tasted of bad oil… Don’t recommend this place.

My sister’s wedding was held here on New Year’s Eve and besides the fact that we invited more people than the banquet hall could hold, everything went great. The guests didn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was for weeks. Biryani is 11⁄10 and everything else was very tasty. Staff was incredible, Rizwan Uncle is the best. He was true to his word about everything. He let us bring desserts from outside without charging extra as well as a cake table. All the halls we visited like Monty’s and Ashton was costing us around $ 8000 more although the setup was going to be the exact same. We really look forward to catering from and hosting more parties at Lazzat. You can’t find nicer and more accommodating staff.

We hosted our wedding reception at Lazzat last weekend and everything was PERFECT. Many guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had and the staff was very accommodating! They even let us come the night before to set up so we would not have to rush in the morning! We were able to fit 200 guests comfortably and the room looked gorgeous and elegant.

Since my previous post mysteriously disappeared I will Re-post. I attempted to book a party at Lazzat only to realize they are extremely unprofessional and grossly overpriced. After booking my event and giving my credit card number I was told one week prior to the event that we were being bumped. They then proceeded to blame us for not booking earlier even though they had already accepted our reservation. Don’t use them for catering unless you want a headache, overpriced food, and a bad impression of Pakistani Restaurants.

Food was terrible. It wasn’t real authentic Pakistani or Indian food, but just oily garbage. I really hope someone can change this restaurant cause my moms food is much much better then the food there. Plus rude service and no idea of customer service whatsoever. They should make some changes or else they’ll be digging themselves in a hole soon.

Nothing. NOTHING. Will beat Lazzat. Absolutely nothing. I live on Devon and have been trying to find my go-to nihari restaurant. To me, it’s just as important as finding your clutch neighborhood chinese delivery. So many restaurants but nothing will compare to the gem that is in Streamwood. It even beats all the local suburban Indo-Pakistani cuisine. Their buffet is a monster. Come with an appetite. And everything on their dinner menu is too good for words. Let’s just put it this way. This place is catering my wedding reception. Let’s just put it that way.

I agree with everything Peter W. said! The food is always wonderful, service is good and we are always the only ones in the dining room. I can’t imagine why. This is a great place with a serious chef who is very gracious and nice about sharing information about the menu. The Dal Makhani is the best I’ve ever had. The food is on the spicy side, which we love. The chef will be happy to adjust the spiciness to your taste. There are lots of vegetarian dishes but the Pakistani cuisine also features delicious meats. The chicken tikka is really good. This is our favorite place for Indian food now that the India House switched to just banquets.

This place is an undiscovered gem! Sure, it might be a little intimidating to go into a restaurant serving traditional Pakastani food, especially one in a strip mall in Streamwood. Take my word for it, GO! I was dragged here and very nervous about the food options and even more about the lack of people inside. Don’t be. Right now, the owner says most of his business is carryout or catering so don’t be surprised if you’re the only ones eating there. As for the food, it’s outstanding. If you like spicy food and enjoy trying new things, this is the place to be. The experience of eating combinations of spices you’ve never had before is fun and has great results. The service has always been outstanding when I’ve gone(again, I’m the only one there.) The dishes are family style so bring friends and order plenty of nan, the hot, fresh, soft bread you use to eat the ordered entrée. My suggestions for first timers are the chicken pakora or kababs for appetizers and the nahari for an entrée. The desserts are also very good, so if you have room, give one a try. Live outside your comfort zone and try this place. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
