Firefly’s Minigolf

This place is fun! YAY!
We came here after our visit to Buca di Beppo and were ready for some semi-​active fun to avoid potential naps after carb loading. This was definitely a good choice. With ridiculous music, glow in the dark everything and that old middle school roller rink smell and atmosphere, this was some serious big kid fun that I don’t have often enough.
Some of the pieces of the court are broken, but that’s not for lack of upkeep and it doesn’t seem gross and dirty, which is a plus in a place like this. Whether it’s clubs, golf balls, bowling shoes, roller skates, or some other public game accessory that others have used, there’s always that sanitation concern, and this place was definitely not the worst I’ve seen. On the same token, I appreciated the availability of hand sanitizer.

I am a traditionalist when it comes to putt putt. I mean the outdoor course with the running water, spinning windmills, putting through the fish’s mouth. You get the picture. I wasn’t sure how I would like a glow in the dark indoor putt putt course but it was kinda cool. You have to look closely at the felt green… there are many divots and uneven parts so misjudge your shot and you can easily find yourself beyond the par 5. Hole #14 wasn’t in operation the night we were there so they offered us a second game at no charge. Overall a fun experience.

I took my daughter and her friend to Firefly Mini Golf in the South Park Mall in Strongsville. The place has a cool concept and is totally kid friendly. I would recommend it and will take the kids there again.
