My family and I ordered a bunch of food for delivery today(salads, chicken strips/fries, subs and pasta) and it was amazing! All the cold stuff was cold & crispy and the hot stuff was hot without being steamed in its container. Yay! I’m DEF a fan of Goomba’s :)

My pizza credentials you ask? Almost 50 years living in Bklyn, USA. Transplant to Stroudsburg and I’m not impressed with the local pizza until I tried a slice at Goombas. This is very close to good corner slice pizza in BK. Most legit.

Stopped here later in the evening before hitting all of the bars in town and was pleasantly surprised by the thin crust and crispy fresh pizza slices! They’re huge and taste amazing! Their sauce is a little sweeter than what I am used to in NJ, but what a nice change! I tried a pepperoni slice and my boyfriend had a slice of the ricotta white pizza. We both loved it! Definitely give this place a try! This will be our new pizza spot while we vacation up here in the mountains!

Pizza is fine, floppy NY style. Boneless chicken wings are cut up chicken patties? I’m confused. Is that NY style too? Shut the front door and get outta here. I know that isn’t what passes for boneless«wings» in America!

We have been there in the past and it was pretty good. Ordered a large cheese pizza and chicken tenders and it was borderline one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. It was over cooked and it had no taste at all, kind of like eating cardboard. The chicken tenders were cut up pieces of chicken and over breaded. The only saving grace on those werw we asked for them to be tossed in a buffalo sauce! Very disappointed as we enjoy supporting the locals but we will not be going there again.

I ordered a slice, a salad, and zeppoles. AFTER I paid with my card they let me know they were out of zeppoles and asked if I wanted garlic knots to replace them(knots were cheaper than zeppoles) To not be difficult I said it was fine. When my to go order was ready, one of the guys handed me my bag with my salad and said I added some bread sticks! Bread sticks, Not garlic knots? Ok… Maybe to him it’s the same thing, I was annoyed but since I only wanted zeppoles in the first place again I said ok and walked out the door. I got home and opened the bag to only find a salad, no bread sticks. No garlic knots. Just a salad! My waistline was happy, however they shouldn’t have made a point to tell me, as he handed me the bag, that my sticks were in there! As far as the pizza goes, I agree with the other customers. It’s an alright place for a drunk slice, but I will not be going there again sober!

Polite waitress who knew what she was doing and was quick(why I left a good tip). Food — $ 12 Ham Calzone was worth $ 50 not only huge(actually enormous) but the dough was perfect in flavor, soft and perfectly cooked(a perfect beer companion). I ordered two pizza’s large cheesesteak and sausage pepper and mushroom. Both were cooked perfect and flavor was better than any pizza in the Poconos. A step up from NYC in the fact that there was no sloppy oil. All meals had fresh cheese and dough. I am going back for all my pizzas. Ha ha — I overlooked this place because of the cheesy name and the cheese was awesome. 5SOLIDSTARS!

This place is ok for a late night slice after the bar on a Friday or Saturday night, provided you don’t get tackled and shackled by the newly formed SARPDUISWAT team that cordons off the street at 2am looking to post their weekly revenue from drunken college kids whose license plates they scanned with their new plate reader software. DUI is big business for the police in Stroudsburg nowadays. Not that the roads are any safer. The Good: –large NY style slices that you can fold in half –price point is good The Bad –poor sanitary conditions(place is kind of filthy) –the pizza itself is bland with cheap ingredients(non imported cheese, sauce tastes like ketchup) –always look closely at the slices before you order one because some of the pies have been sitting for hours(you will get mild food poisioning if the slice isn’t heated long enough) –They close at 9pm on weekdays(kind of strange given their location and how busy the street gets on weeknights from all the bar traffic)

Like some other people, we just walked into Goomba’s off the street with no expectations. We just needed to feed the beast. That said, the first thing that blew us away was the size of the pizzas: 26″!!! When you order pizza by the slice, that’s what you’re getting a slice of. That means that if you’re used to eating 15″ pies, it’s a slice and a half! Think about it. Slices go for about $ 3.00+ but they’re way bigger than NYC slices for the same price. Your pizza slice gets put on a paper plate but the slice is so big, it’s tip hangs off the plate, and you can’t help but take that first bite… fast! And when you dig in, it’s actually really pretty good! The crust is pretty light and crispy(which is hard to do given how much pizza weight it has to hold) and the sauce-cheese-topping flavor(in our case cheese & mushroom) was tasty. It really hit the spot! Plus, if you’re a late night reveler, this place is open to 3am on the weekends. They don’t deliver, but don’t hold that against them.

Walked in off the street as we drove through town. Expected to get soso pizza. Instead had really good chicken parmegiano. Really –very, very good. Service was excellent. Alex didn’t miss a single detail. Will definitely come back next time in the area.

OK so I am in East Stroudsburg 2 – 4 times a year for work and ALWAYS have ordered Goombas and received a decent product. NOTTHISTIME. Me and my dogs(homebrothers) got a wacky a$$ limp mushroom bacon that seriously brought us all down. Bummerwaves for as far as the eye can see. And the wings, oh man how does mild wings turn into spotty burnt BBQ. I really hope things turn around. I will adjust this review accordingly when I give them one more chance in February. Stay tuned. The delivery driver was cool, and quick. 5 for him.

Very good Italian food. We had a craving earlier in the day and came across it on Main street on our way to a comedy show. I had chicken parm and my gf had the lasagna. We both agreed the chicken parm was delicious. The lasagna was okay too if you like that stuff. Food tasted very fresh. Huge portions(we should have split one). Prices are reasonable. Seafood selection was almost non-existant though, I was hoping to get that. But all the main Italian dishes are here.

This is by far the best Pizza I can find in or very close to Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg. The pizza is on the expensive side but well worth it and the wait when there is one. They sell by the slice. They also have a 26″ pizza which is awesome for parties. My favorites from them are the BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, and Plain pizzas. I recommend staying away from the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza. That may just be me but the combination of cheese and sauces do go well together.
