The inside has a 1950s retro décor, which was surprising and kind of impressive. The nice woman behind the counter was very friendly and promptly greeted me as soon as I entered. The hotdogs are a little pricey(I’d expect nothing less since it’s the only place like it in the area), but otherwise the food was good. They also pride themselves on using non-GMO, natural beef from a local farm. If you’re a local or visitor, I would definitely stop by and visit if you’re in the mood for some hotdogs.

Awesome local hotdog joint! We decided to eat locally when we were at Kalahari water park for four days. The food at the water park was overpriced and not good. Brian, the owner was very friendly. The meat from the hotdogs are from local organic meat. My two young picky eaters also lived the food. They normally don’t eat hotdogs or burgers.

Quality, locally sourced hot dogs! Wonderful service, hearty conversation, and all this right off the highway! Really helps break up your drive going up through the water gap. I was delightfully surprised, not your average hot doggery.

Great hot dogs made with quality local ingredients. Had the dog of the day«Italian dog». It did not disappoint, potatoes, onions and peppers on a toasted garlic butter roll! Also had the white bean Tuscan soup of the day, absolutely delicious. After looking at the pictures on Unilocal,I will be back to try the potatoes for sure! The kids had the home made mac and cheese with their hot dogs. Very nice, clean environment. Would recommend.

Awesome place. The potatoes are top notch, hotdogs and buns are perfect. The chili dog is absolutely delicious. On top of all that it is run very well the owner is a polite host and all of his employees seem to follow suit.

As a guy that used to live in NYC and was an aficionado of hot dogs up there, from Grey’s Papayas to the classic Nathans, I found myself in the area visiting my fiancé’s parents and told her we had to stop and check this place out. Living in Washington DC currently there are no decent hot dog places and I was missing a really good one. Rootin Tootin definitely hit the mark. You can definitely taste the quality the of the dog. You don’t get that off putting chemically nitrate taste you do with a cheaper dog. The dog itself had the proper amount of snap to it as well when you take a bite. The buttered toasted bun is a perfect touch to it as well. Another point of quality is the care that goes into the ingredients of the toppings as well, all top notch. Another hidden gem on the menu is their homemade ice cream sandwiches. If you’re in the mood for a top quality hot dog, this is definitely the place to go. Easy 5 stars.

This place is amazing. The hot dogs are from a local farm and you can certainly taste the difference between these and mass produced hot dogs. The décor is cute and they have a really neat juke box. They deliver too, which is awesome; and they have a very friendly staff!

Awesome hot dogs! Love the toasted buns and great toppings. You HAVE to get the potatoes and some different sauces to go with(horseradish aioli for the win).

My wife and I had lunch there yesterday. I woke up this morning and my first thought was, «damn those were great hot dogs.» This place isn’t what you think when you think«hot dogs.» This is over the top good. The smashed red potatoes are out of this world, especially with the wasabi mayo dipping sauce. I just want to go back… again and again.

I don’t live locally(currently anyways not) and only came across this place by chance putting gas in my car spotting it from across the street. I am so glad! This is a mini museum of days that were maybe not any better than now, but that have such a romantic feel to it in hindsight. This is a hot-dog place, which is good to begin with(I think so), and better: the food is apparently locally produced and ORGANIC. You can time travel and read yourself through the singles that are lined up along the walls and if humming the melodies in your head isn’t enough then you can go to the cool jukebox in the corner and get three songs for 25 cent. They have a huge AMERICA map on the wall where you can find out where you are, pinpoint where you come from and admire who else was there or rather where they came from. It sounds so simple, but trust me: it is great fun to do! Love the place and hope I will get a chance to come back some time. You definitely should check it out!

We went to Rootin Tootin Hot Dog tonight and it was very good! You can definitely tell the hot dogs aren’t processed because they are a little lighter in color. The buttered rolls are to die for! We had the potatoes which were pretty good even when we got them home 15 mins later(to go order). The California dog was exceptional! Too bad it’s just a special and not a fixed item on the menu. We will definitely be going back here again!

This place is an awesome blast from the past! From the décor to the old time 45 mm juke box! They have a streamlined menu for all you hit dog needs. I had the darn tootin which is a grilled all beef hot dog wrapped in bacon! I also had the tootin taters. Both these options were fantastic! I will come back with friends! On top of all that this establishment supports local businesses and agriculture.

My kind of business. Excellent hot dogs locally sourced from the free roaming hogs at Stryker Farm or get yourself a veggie dog. Play an oldie on the functioning juke box, and enjoy your perfectly grilled hot dog and the superb service. Love em.

Cute place right off the interstate. The Chicago style and veggie dog were a hit. Dogs made from a local farm and all ingredients are organic. Places like this gem are a reason why we choose to drive rather than fly.

Rootin Tootin Hot Dogs — a great old school themed hot dog joint! The ladies working there are sweet and helpful, the menu is small but tasty, and they have lots of cool little touches! There’s a map where visitors can pin where they’re from and a working juke box sitting in the corner. On top of all that, the hot dogs are farm to table, all the meat comes from a local farm in Saylorsburg. Oh! And the chili(steak chili with no beans) is sooooo amazing!

Nice little shop. Quality dog. I like my dogs with some char, but they wouldn’t know that so no points off. I’m not sure I’m sold on the potatoes as a side though. How about a special ketchup added to the dipping sauces? There’s mayos & mustards. No fancy ketchup. A Curry ketchup? Caribbean style banana ketchup? I’m just throwing that out there. ;) I’ll be back.

Way over priced. The lady had trouble justifying a $ 5 hot dog to me. Beef is tasteless and the dog is small. It’s a clean place, I’ll give it that… that’s as far as it goes. Save your money. I’m pretty sure I’d pick a bologna sandwich over paying $ 11 for 2 hotdogs again.

Great fun place to stop in for a quick lunch! Staff is incredible and the food is delicious! We have been here 4 times since it opened a few weeks ago and will continue to come back regularly. The hot dogs are organic and come from a local farm! They are absolutely delicious! The chili I made with pulled beef which I personally love! Can’t say enough good things!
