The food is always good and without change in portion or taste. All good, ample and well priced, just like it was a few years back when I was in high school.

Great pizza if you need the fix. Super cheesy. Will put you into a trance. Prices are extremely reasonable. Food is good. Healthy eaters beware!

I can’t believe that I never visited this place before(semi-paraphrasing Rick L’s review). I lived in the Mahoning Valley for 25 years and moved away 20 years ago but this year was the first time I ever visited The Elmton. I went here upon recommendation from family members and for their well-known pizza, which I had. And it was just about the best I ever had, anywhere. It seriously rivaled another Valley favorite, Wedgewood Pizza. Yes they always put green peppers in it but I love green peppers anyway. They seem to have a real good menu overall but it may take a while for me to get around to other items, their pizza is just too darn good.

Our server got lost and we had to have 3 other staff help us. She was busy playing on her phone and not paying any attention to us. Sad considering this was my fathers first trip here. Her name was Laura I believe. The food is amazing and the onion rings and pizza are some of the best we ever had. Bathrooms are a nightmare seating and booth size are also poor. Just an outdated building for how amazing the food is. Why servers ignore customers is still puzzling on a slow night

I can’t believe I never reviewed this place. Ok, Monday they open at 4pm. 12″ pizza is $ 7.00 on Monday. And chili dogs are 1.20 on Monday. If you aren’t used to it, pizza is topped with a Swiss cheese blend, which is really good. But strong tasting if you weren’t expecting it. The pizza is great. And I got my first chili dog from this place today. From now on, I am getting it whenever I stop in. It is on a toasted bun. Hot dog is hot. And chili sauce is homemade. That spicy Greek tasting chili, no beans in it. As good as any dog w/chili I have gotten anywhere. They have other stuff. Broasted chicken, which is actually deep fried in a pressure fryer. Everything is great. I have been eating here for years and years, but last couple years the food and wait staff have really great. Little update. I got the Broasted chicken yesterday, the seasoning is great! And crispy on the outside juicy inside. I got the mashed and chicken gravy. Extra side of gravy. And a glass of gravy. Kidding. But I do love gravy. Back again today for the Broasted fish. You can get(just like the chicken) fish only, or fish dinner. Add two sides. And the Broasted fries are the BEST! The seasoning blend is outstanding. And they are large pieces, bigger than steak fries. And crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I really like this place. If you get a bad meal(which I never have) it is a rare error. There is a reason that in this city of Struthers ohio, with a LOT of really good places to eat, The Elmton is consistently busy.

We are new to the area and have been trying several local restaurants. The Elmton was recommended by my coworker. The pizza was good, but was served cold and our server was not the most efficient. We waited quite some time to have our order taken and it never got better. I’m sure if the service was better, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Broasted Chicken is outstanding. Great jo jo potatoes. The pizza is pretty good, but not my personal favorite in the area. Great prices and decent portions.

Okay, I used to come here as a child. Years later, I would talk about it and I tried searching for it. Little did I know, I was calling it «the umpton house» this whole time. Anyways, the only way I knew was because I recognized a pizza on tv. When I hadn’t seen it in 15 – 20 years. Either way, I made it back immediately. Just as I remembered, except not as many fish and no jukebox that I could listen to «grandma got run over by a reindeer» any time I wanted. Enough ranting! Eat real pan pizza!!! Best sauce ever!!!

The Elmton is easily one of my top 5 favorite pizza places. I always make sure to stop and pick up a pepperoni pizza when I’m in Youngstown. The crust, cheese, and sauce are all delicious and make for an excellent pie. A local classic that never disappoints!

To the native Wildcats of Strudders this is an absolute must-see! My mother is a Struthers native and insisted we make a stop here as I was home(Youngstown) for a couple days over the weekend. The Elmton was packed to the gill at 7:30 on a Friday night. This place is tight quarters all around with basically no waiting area. The hostess informed us that it would take 20 – 25 minutes to get seated, but it only took ten. I was thankful for this as I felt like I was standing right next to a booth of people enjoying their dinner — because I was! Once seated, there was a nice view to several TV’s and I was able to watch the beloved Bearcats off the Orange in the Big East Tourney(hells yes)! I tried both the pizza and the Cavatelli as I was informed that pasta, pizza, and chicken were the to-do’s at the Elmton. Cavatellis were exactly what I’d expect from the Youngstown area: pasta and sauce deliciousness. The pizza was much better than most anything in Cincinnati, but I thought the sauce could have been sweeter. Drinks were dirt cheap as is everything in the Yo. Domestic draft beers were a buck seventy-five, I need not say anymore. Next stop: Ripps!

Family ordered their pepperoni pizza and though good it was soggy at the bottom, heavily cheesed, so there was extra grease. I wish I could have tried the broasted chicken. I heard good things about the chicken. Maybe next time. I heard it was the best pizza in the area. Guess I’ll have to keep looking.

The dining room experience is just as good as the pizza. I had a chicken parm that was great. The sauce is sweet and the chicken was done just right. The ambiance is classic 60’s/70’s décor meets family gatherings. Conversations around you will range from talk of the old country to the old-timers filling in the youngsters on what it was like 50 years ago in the area. Our waitress was excellent.
