Have no idea why this is rated so low nor why it was straight up empty our entire party of seven enjoyed every minute of our dinner here. The décor is awesome, both inside and outside, the music had us all dancing in our seats and randomly singing along. Our server Mackenzie was great, just the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. The chips and salsa(free) were very fresh and the salsa was some of the best I have ever had. We ordered the avocado fries, queso with hamburger, and Mexican street corn for apps. Everyone went nuts for the corn, the queso was really good, avocado fries weren’t my faves but everyone else loved them. The corn was the superstar though. I ordered a cabo margarita which was mostly tequila. Good value but I prefer them a little more watered down. For entrees we had carnitas(really good, the plantains were incredibly good, very well caramelized), carne asada(according to my friend it was very delicious), steak and shrimp fajitas(my husband had this and it was a serious amount of steak and shrimp, they did not skimp on either!) and to be honest I was so busy making nom noises over my plantains I didn’t notice what the rest of our crew got. We asked Mackenzie why the place was empty and he looked pretty bummed as he explained that between their rocky start and the snowbirds leaving they just don’t have the business they used to but they had worked out the kinks and we’re ready to rock. I promised to write a review and spread the word so next time I am in town this place is still open! Really really good stuff! We are only in town for a week but we will definitely be back again!

Wow what a major disappointment. The restaurant was dead for a Saturday night. The food order cam out haphazardly the ran out of cooked meat, Rout of fried ice cream and my food was burnt and greasy. Not a place I will be returning to or recommending

Not much to say, way too expensive! The place is beautiful but it was empty on a Sunday for lunch time. We had a drink and some chips and left to a more reasonable priced restaurant. No customer service there !

Ok food & décor and friendly & accommodating hostess, but the service was terrible. I was in a group of five that arrived at 6 pm and the restaurant wasn’t especially busy. We had to wait a long time to get the attention of our inattentive waiter(who appeared to have been assigned the entire outdoor patio by himself) and our food didn’t arrive until 7:20 pm. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends and I will not be returning to this location in the future.

My husband and I ordered the Carnitas Chimichanga, Chicken Fajitas, and a kid’s Chicken Burrito for our son. Overall, the entrees were BLAND! The meats lacked flavor and we left fairly disappointed, especially for the price we paid. However, the salsa that came with the chips at the beginning of the meal was good. My husband ordered a margarita and that was«one of the best he’s had» so we’d recommend Cabo Flats if you want to go out for drinks and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, however, EATSOMEWHEREELSE!

This place is a waste of money and time. I have never eaten at a «Mexican» restaurant that didn’t provide complimentary chips and salsa. We ended up ordering the salsa trio and it was bland at best as well as the avocado fries and fajitas. Our server was ok; we had to ask staff to find her twice. The best part of our experience was the décor which appeared trendy and hipster. Do not go to this place if you expect decent food for less than $ 20 a person!

I have been a regular at the palm beach gardens and Jupiter location for awhile. Recently I’ve decided to go to the Stuart location since I live in Stuart. I was shocked to find it had bad reviews here in Unilocal.I’ve been to this cabo flats twice and both times it was just as amazing. Both times we(party of 4) have been seated quickly in a large booth. Our server has come quickly and taken a drink and appetizer order. We usually order chips and salsa. The queso is also amazing! It’s not that thick yellow cheesy crap most places serve you can tell it’s made fresh. Both of which has always been consistently fresh and tasty! I almost always order a chicken and cheese quesadilla and same for my sister. My father has ordered enchiladas and other menu items and everything has always been warm and fresh! I noticed people on Unilocal complained about the staff but we have never had any issues. Everyone has always been friendly and quickly. Our orders have never been mistaken or anything. Almost every time I’ve been there has been some people at the bar. I will continue to recommend cabo flats! Yum!

Locals, foodies, newbies, well everyone should enjoy! Love the staff. Love the food! Love the happy hour! Well, love everything Cabo Stuart! My guy and I have been coming since the first month and have never had a moment that is less than exceptional. Food, service, and ambience has been stellar for every visit which has been once at least once a week. I’ve had the margaritas, frozen, on the rocks, and up, which are always perfect ! I’ve had guacamole which is exceptional. I order it the way I like it: extra cilantro, lime and habañero sauce… Amazing! The avocado fries are yummy, however, I love to add a touch of habañero to the dipping sauce to spice it up a little. The quesadillas are terrific. I always get the Buffalo quesadillas. Just Mmmmm Mmmm. I’ve had the ceviche, beyond perfect! My favorite has been the chorizo burger but a close second are the amazing fries. I have never been a French fry person until now. Just fantastic! Ok, sounds to good to be to true? Well, since I’m being honest there’s one thing I don’t enjoy… Unfortunately, there is a stinky smell in the bathroom. Hopefully, they’ll find what’s causing it. Although all the staff has been amazing, Adrienne is the best and most attentive bartender to date.

The star is simply because our server was great and has nothing to do with the incompetence of the kitchen and bar staff . We were. Large party 6 adults and 8 kids Appetizers and chips and salsa were great but that’s where it ended Terrible mixed drinks and I mean skinny margarita that was totally I consistent John Daly that was watered down and made incorrectly. Apologies from the bar manager and remade drinks was a nice touch but it kept happening. Food came out it was all just very So-So. Chopped salad completely limp and slimy gross had to be sent back. With all the sent back drinks and bad food our bill was still close to $ 400 w/o tip which had the food and drinks been great wouldn’t care so much! And just a side note for a Friday night 7 pm Valentine’s Day weekend the place was dead! I mean completely !!! Should have been easy for staff to focus on what they we’re there to do Will not ever return u less it’s to simply eat chips and salsa they do that right that’s it!

Ugh. What a waste of calories. I popped in for lunch on a Friday, expecting it to be busy with people getting a head start on their weekend. Instead it was almost empty. It’s a cool looking place — I’m a fan of orange alligator skin, skulls, rock posters, and pierced metal light fixtures. Too bad the food is such a letdown. I was led to an exquisitely uncomfortable but highly attractive booth beneath the blue skull. My waiter was quick with the chips and salsa(they were complimentary, so maybe this has changed since some previous reviews?). The chips had a nice lime and chili flavor, and the salsa was fresh and flavorful — these were easily the best part of my meal! I got the«pick 2» lunch special, choosing the Mexican chopped salad and the enchiladas. The chopped salad came out pretty quickly but was meh. The whole salad was super cold, so I wondered if perhaps it has been hanging out in the fridge. The lettuce was somewhat wilted and a little brown, but the other veggies looked ok. I did like the salad dressing, though. The enchiladas were also a disappointment. I’ve actually never had such bad refried beans — the ones in a can at the grocery store are way better. The rice was ok, as was the spinach in the enchilada. But the chicken, and the mole, and just the whole thing… ugh. What a mess.

Ok is the best I can say. Our server, Ashli, was great. Good personality. The house marguerita was disappointing. Kind of bland. Needed more lime juice. I don’t know what the spice is they used on the chips, but it was fantastic. I had the pork tacos. Ken had enchiladas. Neither could be classified as even Tex-mex. I would call them Disneys version of Mexican. You know, it looks like Mexican, but it tastes like Kansas. Don’t get me wrong. What I had tasted good. It just wasn’t Mexican.

We arrived with our family(a group of 6) and it took a while for the server to get all our drinks but it’s understandable on a Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn’t that busy but there seemed to be an overall malaise to the staff. After finally getting our starters we still awaited the Queso we ordered as we watched it make its way to multiple tables and be turned back by all of them to the kitchen. Finally it arrived somewhat warm after it had been sitting under the pass as the servers and managers attempted to figure out what table it belonged to(don’t know why they don’t know table numbers at this point). I was still fine with everything but after over a decade working in the industry I began to notice things around us that slowed down our service to a near standstill. Servers and runners are attempting to get out of the kitchen to deliver food while a cluster of 5 managers are blocking the kitchen exit having a conversation. This conversation went on the entire time we were there as they never moved to make room for their staff members attempting to serve guests at their glacial pace. The server had no menu knowledge and was obviously uncomfortable. After receiving our food(well, most of it) again we were disappointed. The fajitas came out barely hot and one of our guests didn’t get their food at all. We were half way though our food when we finally were given attention by the server to tell her a meal was missing and it was still sent out incorrectly. The ceviche I ordered was very sweet, and being a Hispanic from Miami I’ve kind of got the ceviche flavor burned into my brain and this tasted old and like it was packed with sugar. Who puts that much sugar in a ceviche? I mean who puts sugar at all? The cluster by the kitchen has now grown to over 10 people including managers, servers and even the chef! The food wasn’t horrible but it’s very clear the staff at this local chain are poorly trained, frightened and new to the industry. The lack of guidance and leadership here stinks up every dish! I don’t go to a chain restaurant expecting 5 Star service but I do go expecting that the staff is knowledgable, courteous and somewhat enthusiastic! After all this mess, I could’ve gone to a Chili’s!

Good to see a Cabo Flats in Stuart. Wait, I mean– Oh my gosh, finally! What took you so long? :) Located where Bru’s Room used to be. Before writing a review, I have been a frequent here; both during the day and evenings, always with good company. The staff and bartenders have a great personality, prompt with bringing out food, and taking your order. I have seen birthday parties here too and the crowd of people are friendly and positive. There were a couple evenings that I came here with friends where the restaurant ran out of guacamole. Just so you know, in case you didn’t, it takes about 15 minutes to prep their guacamole, that’s why it’s so damn delicious and for those who say that the chips, salsa and guac should be for free then you obviously have not been working or managing a restaurant because those things cost and take time. Be grateful that they opened up in sleepy town Stuart. Other than that, I have tried almost everything on their menu. Almost everything is tasty, crunchy, and delicious, including the desserts. But be careful, the desserts are super sweet and sugary. There is a bar inside and out. The decorations all around the restaurant including the furniture are cute, especially the torches and fire tables outside. The restrooms looked like how they were when it used to be Bru’s Room. The only real downside that I see are that the drinks are a bit expensive unless you’re a royalty member with the restaurant. They don’t carry sweet dessert wine which would be something they should look into adding. Cabo, please do not close down, this town needs something lively and WPB-esque.

I went here with a group of people on Saturday night. It was a lot less busy than we expected, but we were ok with that. Our table had a variety of drinks and everyone was happy with theirs! We had guac and salsa, which everyone liked. Then we had a spread of tacos, salad, and chimichurri steak! Everyone was left too stuffed for dessert. While nothing was ‘amazing’, everything was good and they had a fun atmosphere!

Was not impressed with the food our the overpriced menu. You do not get chips and salsa free like all other Mexican restaurants. The enchiladas and the quesadillas were ok, nothing I would recommend. The service and the band on the patio was the highlight of our one and only visit. I would not recommend, or come again since there are a lot better Mexican food in the area with more logical prices.
