What a joke! My husband was seen and treated for a flu however, he is actually passing a kidney stone! He’s tried calling back to speak with the NP for 2 days without a returned call. I finally spoke with the rudest woman this AM who answered the phone. Would not recommend this place to anyone! We went here out of convenience but know better next time to go sit in ER or drive further to any other urgent care but NOT this one!

As a healthcare professional for over 30 years, I was shocked & disappointed when my husband was seen here. First, we were about to leave after waiting approximately 30 — 40 minutes, because they could not function without the computers but they were up & running prior to us departing. Seems to me a backup plan would be essential when dealing with people’s lives, but then I realized the first transaction they did with everyone was to collect payment. The clincher was the improper & negligent documentation & verbal instruction. They left out an important area involved in the exam, his hand… not even an honorable mention! In other words you would have no idea reading their notes, his hand was involved. We took pictures for reference just in case. My husband was unaware of a third medication prescribed & soon learned of that at the pharmacy. By the way, if you need to get those meds right away, I recommend getting a good old hand written prescription, since it takes the pharmacy about 90 minutes to pick up on the speedy electronic form! I do give them credit, thank God, for the proper diagnosis & treatment! The rest is correctable. I hope they institute the upgrades.

I would advise people to find another place for urgent care. The front desk here is quite nasty and when I asked questions about my insurance they were very rude, specifically Robin and Nicole. Customers /patients should not be treated so poorly. It’s ashame this is the way they treat people.

On January 31, 2015, I visited Medstat Urgent Care in Stuart, Fl., because I had been sick with a stomach flu for several days. I was hesitant to enlist their help because I thought it would be a lengthy, expensive and time-consuming process, and would be told to drink lots of liquids and get plenty of rest. I was wrong on all counts; this is a pro-active medical facility. The receptionist was friendly and gave me a computer tablet to fill out pertinent information(name, age, health history, etc.). There were several patients ahead of me but I passed the time browsing the internet on my computer and after about 45 minutes a physician’s assistant called my name and took me to an exam room where he measured my temp, blood pressure and oxygen level. He asked about my symptoms and said the doctor would be in to see me. The doctor was polite and asked me to describe my symptoms– headache, slight nausea, dysentery, body aches and chills. He asked me to lie on my back and pressed on my stomach, asking if it was painful. I answered yes. He told me I had gastroenteritis and he prescribed two meds– a strong antibiotic and a stomach tranquilizer. I started feeling better the next day, and by day three I was back to 100 percent. This was important because I had to fly north and pick up an elderly friend’s car and drive it 1,400 miles to Fort Lauderdale. At Medstat check-in I provided my insurance and credit card. At check-out a fellow named Manny told me that my insurance(Tufts) was good and that they would notify me if there was a co-pay or deductible. If I had no insurance the cost would’ve been $ 145, which I considered reasonable. It’s been five days and I haven’t been notified that my insurance would pay only a part of the fee. In other words, it appears I was fully covered. The bottom line is, I went to Medstat feeling ill. They made a diagnosis and prescribed medication. The business staff did the paperwork. I couldn’t have been happier with the service provided. The office itself was clean and all the employees were polite and considerate. It was a far better experience than I ever had at any ER. I’m happy to give them this good review because they deserve it. Sincerely, Chip Ainsworth
