YMCA of the Treasure Coast

We love the Y programs that are offered in our community. We have been members for a couple years, my kids have attended summer camps, and participated on some of the sports teams. They have an amazing Wednesday evening Yoga class, and I love how in the summers they exercise classes for kids.

The pool is always clean and a good temperature for swimming laps. Love the tvs on the treadmill.

My favorite place. It’s u fortunate I can’t afford it. But it has everything and the best of everything.

The food is average bar food. The waitstaff is very nice and helpful. The manager apologized for not having the hockey package and then moved on. We’ll go somewhere else for sports TV and atmosphere. 3 stars for food and service. Waitstaff deserves a 4.

YMCA is a community haven. What’s not to like. It offers swimming pool for adults & kiddie pool for the kids. The gym is a huge plus. I always see classes going every time I visited this facility. It could use some updating, but this is a nonprofit organization. I’m glad we have one on town.

Overall, a good gym. But for the almost $ 50/​month fee, I’m going to be a little picky about a few things. Parts of the gym are run down — the women’s locker room is downright creepy, and at times gross. I know it can’t be perfectly clean 24/​7, but c’mon — do some hourly checks! And the aerobics room can be scary — I really don’t think the floor is regularly cleaned, nor are the mats. I’m a bit scared of what kind of sweaty germs are growing in there. Ick. But, having said all of that, the classes are fun, the staff is nice, and there’s plenty to keep you occupied fitness-​wise.

I love this place! I was a member of planet fitness for about a year but thankfully toured and joined the Y! For me it’s all about the classes. If you want a challenge try HIIT with Joan, kickboxing with Ron, kettle bell with Christina, and boot camp with Izzy! Super friendly and supportive people, I call this place my second home!

I am pretty stoked to have left my other gym for the Y. Great modern equipment and there is always room to pick up or push the heavy stuff. Folks seem to care about the machines and equipment here more than the other (cheaper) places so that makes a nice environment to be in. A giant pool that never seems crowded and classes, so many kick ass classes. The helpful staff round out the Yay! review.

When I travel or even locally, I like to check out different YMCA’s, I feel like YMCA’s are the public schools of the fitness world, and what I mean by that is: the more money there is in a particular area the nicer the Y branch will be in terms of facilities and amenities. Treasure Coast YMCA is nestled fairly closely to Sewall’s Point, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in South Florida; so it did not come as a shock to me at how huge and well equipped this YMCA was in regards to offerings. I swam in their pool, which while small, had multiple lanes and a public swim area. the weight area was well equipped, however there were not a lot of free weights, I would attribute this to the amount of octogenarian members they more than likely have, as opposed to youth. The locker room was pretty awesome, lots of large lockers, with a drawer personal showers, scale etc. I would say if you’re a member traveling, or looking for a membership to a gym that does good in the community support this YMCA.

This Y is quite modern with excellent workout and pool facllities. I’m not a member but have used it when I vacation in Stuart. You can drop in for $ 10/​day or they sell a weekly pass for $ 30. The machines are always clean and the staff is very helpful.
