Great food! Very friendly, patient waitstaff, especially our large group of singers who often congregate there for breakfast.

Do not come here! They sat some regular couple right a way despite there was a long line of people waiting to be seated. We almost loose our seats if I didn’t catch and complaint. This place is a mess and gross! Never come back!

**ATTENTIONMANAGER** Just found out that someone has been charging my card here almost $ 200 worth of stolen money and I have never been to this location or any of its locations. REALLYWISH the workers here would check ID’s when someone is paying with a card like other restaurants.

Wonderful! What else can I say. Delicious hot cakes. Clean restrooms. Attentive staff from the manager to the the staff cleaning the tables. Oh, almost forgot to add the Acapella Group that sang today. The rock all the way. Don’t read other reviews just a waste of time. Thumbs all the way up.

This rating is for the pancakes only. I’m a pancake traditionalist. I’m from the South where pancakes rock. Du-Par’s pancakes are perfection. Nuf said. I had the pork sausage as well. Perfect combo. Going back again for sure. Skip the blueberry muffin. You can make better out of a box. Completely disappointed. This is one of those places where you stick with what they do best! Also the place needs a make over. But, who cares. I’m eating pancakes… not going on a date.

Du-Par’s? More like SUB-Par’s AM I RIGHT?! *HIGH-FIVE. Du-Par’s is currently it’s own worst enemy. Forget the hip Crave Café across the parking lot taking their business and shutting them down: the lackadaisical staff, exorbitant prices for SUBPAR(*high-five) food, and long wait times will drive costumers away all on their own. Service: Our waitress seemed oddly dazed and confused like she somehow believed she was trapped in a dream in which she was forced to work as a waitress and the only way to wake up was to move as slowwwwwly as posssssssible. In this example, she is also unable to see or hear and is missing thumbs. Food: If you’re going to charge $ 15 for a tiny omelette then you should at least include the damn chicken(and a fence so I can keep him in my yard.) Also, bringing out toast after everything has been eaten does NOT actually save you money on toast. Having only empty Ketchup bottles on the tables DOES save you money, but makes people sad. Ambiance: For those of you who like to feel invisible: THISISYOURDREAMCOMETRUE. Walk through those Du-Par’s doors, and you will rapidly begin to lose visible mass in your body. Fortunately, after two hours or so(the standard wait time for a full-stack and an omelette), your McFly family photo disorder completes its course, and you and your kin can sneak out the front door without paying the 10000% markup for the posh pancakes and eggs you decided to splurge on for the very special event of «Sunday Afternoon I’m Hungry.» You will, however, have the distinct feeling of no long existing :( Overall: It would be a less stressful and time-consuming breakfast experience if you were to acquire a farm, raise cows and hogs and chickens and wheat for months, hand-grind the flour, churn the butter, butcher the hogs, and finally make hand-made pancakes and omelettes in your own home. If making a radical life-change just for pancakes isn’t for you, maybe go to Aroma or Crave or, hell, Dennys.

This place is classic. Great service. Clean. Great food and selection. Emmmm mm. And I’m really picky how I spend my hard earned cash. Fresh pressed coffee is off the chain. 6 stars

This place always puts a smile on my face. The food here is amazing. I don’t come as often as I’d like to but when I do, there are never any negative things to say. My friends and I always go for anything that has bacon because who doesn’t love bacon My daughter always orders pancakes. No matter what time it is, she just loooooves their pancakes and I don’t blame her! They are some of the best pancakes we’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried it yet, Definitely come to Dupars Studio City! You will not be disappointed.

Yu-um. After sharing a bottle of wine at a painting party across the street, we were famished… We ordered the halibut fish and chips for the boyfriend and a tuna melt with onion rings for me. Both were pretty amazing… the halibut breading was crispy and the fish was tender… the skinny fries were perfectly crispy and fried and even their tartar sauce rocked. Only gripe was it came with 3 micro-pieces of fish. Sorry, but for $ 16.50, they should have been bigger… or maybe with 4 pieces. 5 even. They were soooo small! And after tasting my tuna melt, I was afraid my man was gonna go in after my food! Hands off, mister! Cause my tuna melt was delicious! Super buttery and super toasted sourdough(instead of rye) and I like how the celery in the tuna was really cut up tiny so I couldn’t even taste it. Celerey… bleh! I asked for onion rings as my side for an additional charge and had no regrets. It was so crispy! That breading though! Same as the halibut above. The ranch I dipped it in was also good. I left very satisfied… and what more, is I had half a tuna melt left over for lunch the next day! Stuck it in the toaster oven and it was as good as new! Okay… so maybe it was cause I was a little buzzy-wuzzy, but I thought the food was great! I can’t believe this was my first time at Du-Pars! And I gotta say… I can’t wait to go back! Maybe I’ll try their famous pancakes… or maybe I’ll get the tuna melt again. I’m stillllllll thinking about it. And the onion rings. Oh man. And maybe I’ll even be sober. Yay for being open 24 hours!

This place gets two stars because of how good the pancakes are. Otherwise I would give them a negative 3 stars if I could. The potatoes that use for their hash browns are rotted. Service is definitely not the best. It made my stomach hurt.

I ate here a couple weekends ago with a large group of friends and the waitresses just seemed off and like they wanted us to leave even though the place was practically empty. I thought that perhaps they were nearing closing time but then realized that they’re open 24 hours. Food is pretty good, yet there are only two things on the menu that I can eat since I’m a vegetarian. I do hope that they keep the vegetable tomato soup on the menu though because I liked it a lot. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert, just handed the check. We actually had to flag someone down to get a piece of pie. I will definitely come back here because I overall like the place, I just wish the service was a bit better.

It’s a 1940’s version of Denny’s 1) Open 24-Hours 2) Located in Studio City(with 5 other locations as well) 3) The staff is dressed in a throwback style 4) Food is very original and their plates, napkins & silverware are sturdy The best times to come is after 10pm when the traffic calms and there’s plenty of parking

Although I like the food here the service absolutely sucks. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without so much an acknowledgment from the server. The table across from us was getting irritated because their food was just sitting there on the counter with no one bothering to bring it to their table. To top it off the table was seated Close to us and the server went to them before coming to us. That table got their drinks before anybody ever approached us. We finally just got up and left without ever even getting as much as a glass of water. Do yourself a favor avoid this place.

First part is service and review, second part is food review. Now I love Du-Par’s they give you a lot of food per plate. The price isn’t too bad for what you get. Now like most places they have a busy hour and a dead hour. Du-Par’s isn’t different, the only bad thing is really the service. When it’s dead there is usually one waitress/waiter and after you give your order there is no more help. They don’t do too well on refills and such. I can’t say they are all bad I’ve been here late night and have had good service. I can only assume it’s due to being tired and drained. As far as food it’s top notch here. The portions are huge and always good, I’ve never had an under cooked plate or cold plate. I always recommend the pancakes they are rated the best and it’s for a good reason huge, fluffy, and so good! I usually get breakfast here and its never a bad choice. The burgers here are very juicy and delicious, they are large burgers. All and all great for for late or early days.

The place is clean and the service is good. The Buttermilk Pancakes here are amazing. The pancakes are huge. The short stack(3 pancakes) is plenty to get your carb fix in the morning. They are fluffy and delicious with enough syrup. This place is so much better than Denny’s. I enjoyed my breakfast here and I would dine here again.

This place can definitely use an update to it’s décor, but who cares about that when they have the best pancakes in town, no questions asked. Thinking about those butter pancakes makes me salivate!!! The only improvement I would want to see is the speed in service and the friendliness of customer service. I’ve been telling about this place to all my friends!!! If you’re in Studio City/Sherman Oaks area, this place is a must visit :) — Oh yeah, don’t forget to get a side of toast as well.

I give Dupar’s 4 stars for amazing fluffy pancakes and 24÷7÷365 availability. This was key on New Year’s day when NOTHING was open! There was only a 10 – 15 minute wait for a table and service despite the madness was kind and efficient. From the hostess who never lost her cool, to the server who was just great. Yes, the food it old school diner food. Potato Wedges, overly dressed salads and your run of the mill griddle specials. So come with measured expectations. However, if you’re hungry after a long night out or hungover and starving after New Years Eve galavanting, then that is the least of your concerns. Enjoy!

Bosch brought me here. The homicide detective’s favorite pancake joint is now my favorite, too. The buttermilk pancakes look like a stock photo from Martha Stewart’s website and they did not disappoint! Fluffy does not even begin to describe the glorious texture of these flapjacks. They are like hot steamy sponges that readily sop up their melted clarified butter and maple syrup counterparts. I literally watched those carb pillows soak up the syrupy goodness like three humpbacks swallowing seawater. Sofa king good.

Rating: 58⁄100 pts If you grew up in Los Angeles, chances are you know Du-Pars as a legendary, yet pedestrian(dare I say sub-pars?) 24-hour eatery. Of course, having grown up in Florida, I myself had no idea of its existence until I saw it on a list of the«best pancakes in the US». Really?! Count me in! Well, that was my initial reaction. On consulting Unilocal,I was a little let down to see overwhelmingly average reviews, and an unimpressive 3-star average. Still, everything is worth trying at least once, or so I say, so I soon headed over. My equally pancake-enthused friend in tow, I ordered a full stack of pancakes and, to give the place a fair trial, an omelet with hashbrowns and a blueberry muffin. PANCAKES(4⁄5 stars!) Visually, they are beautifully golden-brown, and their sheer thickness makes the full stack tower up high. For one reason or another, mine came already drenched in a depressing pool of melted butter – a bit of an unappetizing start. However, on cutting into the massive stack and trying them, I must say I was impressed. Soft, buttery, and cloud-like – these are indeed some fantastic pancakes! Just the slightest trickle of maple syrup was enough for me, and the ‘cakes did the rest of the work. Standing the test of time, these are definitely worth trying. RESTOFTHEFOOD(No! 2⁄5 stars!) After plowing through half a pancake, I made it to my omelet, hoping it would be as good. However, I must say that the omelet was rather terrible. Tasteless eggs, gritty bacon, hard avocado, boring cheese. Just a few bites in, I pushed the plate aside(some calories just aren’t worth it), and went back in for the pancakes. At $ 13, this omelet was not particularly cheap, so I’d actually demote it to 1.5 stars. The hashbrowns were slightly better, and the muffin was surprisingly decent(not too sweet or buttery, and as a bonus, it had this like… tongue), but not good enough to redeem that omelet. I’m gonna average the two and give them 3 stars. I agree with what is reflected in their current ratings. Du-Par’s certainly is not a great restaurant. But, perhaps it’s worth coming in at least once to try the pancakes, though keep in mind they certainly aren’t the best in the US, or even in LA(did someone say The Griddle?).

You’ve gotta get a slice of the banana cream pie. This is the reason I began eating here. The blueberry cheesecake is another favorite but all of their pies are delicious. The food in general is okay. It’s what you’d expect from a coffee shop, but I’d stick to the breakfast. Buttermilk pancakes, corn beef hash, egg whites and garlic toast! Mmm… hungry just thinking about it! Service can be spotty and the food is often a hit or miss, but breakfast seems to be consistent. It’s fresh and isn’t greasy. The buttermilk pancakes are are truly irresistible though. They’re fluffy and amazing by themselves. With maple syrup — Wow! Come for the pies and get few slices to go. There’s also the original Du-Par’s at the Farmer’s Market by the Grove if you’re out in that area.
