The food is amazing. Love the ambiance. It looks small from outside but once you walk in the entire place opens up. It’s like you’re inside and outside at the same time and even though there is a ton is seating, it doesn’t feel crowded. Oh and our fabulous server, Kasey made the experience that much better! She bumped this review from 4 stars to 5 stars real quick! Looking forward to coming back again XOXO

Big fan! Indoor, outdoor feel with wood tables and a great, lunchy vibe but also very trendy feel. Lunch menu has salads, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. I ordered the chicken cilantro club which was great. Good ciabatta bread, tasty fries. The thai ginger salad is AWESOME– cold soba noodles, peanuts, and a great refreshing dressing. We ordered banana splits for dessert– seen in the picture I posted. Hard to get that wrong, and they certainly didn’t. Great addition to Ventura boulevard. Excited to go back.

Had a tasty Caesar salad with grilled chicken with the dressing on the side. Also tasted Roasted half chicken with my friend. She added grilled broccolini and mashed potatoes. Delicious!!! After all that food we shared a Berry Patch shortcake. That was the perfect dessert to complete the perfect meal. Paul was our server and he was great. Very polite and sweet. It’s a little loud in there but I keep going because their food is to die for and I enjoy the environment.

Solid 4 stars. Located on Ventura Blvd in Studio City, this restaurant is in a happening spot. The ambiance here is somewhat upscale and trendy, with a darker feel to it at night. They have a front patio, which appears to be a cool place to enjoy a meal. I came here roughly 6+ months ago for a late dinner, before my avid Unilocaling days, and it left a lasting impression. I ordered the beef stroganoff and some kind of ahi tuna appetizer/salad. The stroganoff tasted absolutely delicious, and I would definitely order it again. The beef was very tender and flavorful, and the pasta noodles were masterfully cooked. The rare ahi was good, as well. This restaurant is slightly pricey for the quantity you get, but if you’re looking to splurge, this isn’t a bad option. Parking on Ventura can be a pain at times, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a cheap meter nearby. They do have a full bar located in the middle of the restaurant, which is a great place to grab a drink while waiting to be seated. It does get crowded, however, and is usually full. Their cocktails appear to be well-made. They used to have 40s of Olde English, but I believe they recently took them off the menu :(. Go ahead and give this place a try. I would recommend Granville to all looking for a good, upscale yet not too fancy, dining experience.

Ordered for pickup last night - Let’s start off with how great the place looks inside. Now to be straight to the point. Great service, pork chop for 24 $ was worth every dollar. Chicken Marsala that my bro had looked on point. Very impressed with this place.

Sat on the cute patio for pre-dinner drinks and snacks. Ordered a pitcher of red sangria and lettuce cups. Service was fine and the drinks and food were tasty, it was slight above average but not sure if it’s a spot we will revisit when we visit LA agai.

Surprisingly fantastic! This is one of those local places that you think, «OK, it looks trendy and people come here to have expensive drinks, but…» But… in this case, my friend Debra invited me here for my birthday. She said it was very good and I thought, «If they have a good burger I’m happy.» We got there and it was trendy and noisy. The waiter, a mountain man with a long beard, was super friendly and helpful. The menu had a lot of variety but my eye immediately went to 1) cheese appetizers and 2) beef stroganoff(because so few places serve it). We ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with petit basque, grilled onions and a tomato soup dip, mac ‘n cheese made with gruyère, chicken and asparagus – because, you can’t really have too much cheese. I mean, really. I ordered the stroganoff with a demi glacé brandy sauce, mushrooms, farfalle, fried onions and instead of sour cream, a horseradish aioli. My friend ordered lettuce cups(because she says you can have too much cheese – at least that’s what she says but I don’t think even she believes it), and her son had a pork chop. The appetizers arrived quickly and cheesily. SOGOOD. The grilled cheese sandwich was about as good as a grilled cheese gets. The mac ‘n cheese was a unique take and totally yummy. Then bearded mountain man brought the entrees. The stroganoff, while not the classic approach, had such a rich, flavorful sauce, was brilliant. The horseradish crema gave it just a touch of the sour cream kind of thing but in a modern way. Ate it all. All of it. All. Of. It. Yum. The pork chop(which I sampled, because, hey, it was my birthday and I got to try everything) was perfect. I did not try the lettuce cups because, hey, they’re lettuce and if I want that I just go to my front yard and munch on the lawn. Now it was time for dessert, and we were originally thinking about getting frozen yogurt, but mountain man said the banana split was to die for(not his words, probably, I can’t imagine him saying that, but he gave off that vibe, like«I’d kill an elk for it!»). So we ordered that. It arrived, gigantic, big enough for all three of us. Lots of hot chocolate sauce, three kinds of ice cream(vanilla, chocolate and cherry), and, of course, bananas(which only count as dessert when topped with chocolate and more dairy). Now we were pretty much stuffed – in a very happy way. I really have to say – the food at this place is fantastic and you wouldn’t guess it, because it’s not pretentious, fancy, or expensive. It’s a warm local place with terrific food at reasonable prices. Don’t wait till your birthday to go. And eat cheese, my friends. Eat cheese.

Dog friendly patio, good service, great drinks, and delicious food makes for a winner of a spot. We went for lunch on a Sunday and it was busy; so prepare for a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. I love that they make their food from scratch daily and try to use the most sustainable, organic and humane products possible. I highly recommend the Pastrami Sandwich(which is not your typical pastrami sandwich– complete with tapenade, sun dried tomatoes and swiss cheese, YUM) and my husband enjoyed the Steak Sandwich. The fries were great and came with both ketchup and a garlic aioli; both delicious. My husband had two of their cocktails, both of which he enjoyed and I opted for a mimosa and a glass of rose which were both great too. Overall, it was a lovely lunch on their bustling patio with our little pup, we will definitely be back.

Here I am again enjoying an amazing cocktail served by my nameless server. Good Lord, just get name tags. I know, but it’s my only complaint.

Food here is always tasty, but its a bit pricey, especially for what you get. Today, I ordered a ceasar salad, add chicken, and it arrived with just a chicken breast on the side that I had to cut up, and the salad was just lettuce and dressing with a sprinkle of cheese on it. Leaves much to be desired for $ 14 plus taxes, plus delivery fee, plus tip bringing it to $ 19.

Great open air concept in my favorite part of the valley! Awesome people watching of folks strolling down Ventura. Come here for lunch, dinner, or just drinks because it’s a great place. Prices are 100% reasonable which is another reason to come mingle and relax. I went for the the pork belly bowl. So tasty. Lots of slabs of juicy, fatty pork belly on top of soba noodles and pickled vegetables. My friend went for the chicken club. GREATCHOICE if you need a recommendation. It comes with their tasty homemade potato chips. Count me in the next time my friends and family are in town Granville!

This scratch kitchen has me craving hummus pita at least once a week! I haven’t had one thing here myself or my friends haven’t loved! The salmon, white fish and rainbow trout are delicious. The waitstaff are friendly and professional, I will always take relatives in town here for dinner. Also note: Granville has Valet for $ 4 or a parking structure behind it. Make sure you validate at the host stand and it’s free(otherwise it’s $ 40).

If Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s «Fixer Upper» designed a restaurant, it might well look like Granville. Absolutely loved the vibe, tastefully packed with a mixture of textures, including small paving bricks for the patio flooring. They were grey and less than half the width of standard bricks. Provided a very European feel. The interior spaces have plenty of aged wood and metal surfaces that are so popular right now. Yet it doesn’t feel cold and industrial, especially as they’ve softened the rooms with live plants. The olive trees growing in the middle of the larger interior dining rooms are a great touch. We enjoyed the outdoor area with roof overhang, so you’re not fighting the sun in the middle of the day. Service was consistent throughout the meal. Even though we lingered, they didn’t make us feel rushed. And the food. Oh my! Beautiful creations kept coming from the kitchen. The garlic tomato soup was fantastic — great texture and perfect seasonings. It didn’t feel heavy, but was filing enough that I brought home 2⁄3 of the Uptown Mac & Cheese. The latter is loaded with extras like chicken, asparagus, and peas. Lots of food groups in one dish. I sampled Dear Hubby’s shrimp taco — one of a trio. He also tried salmon and chicken. The shrimp was divine. We met our daughter and boyfriend there. They were enthusiastic about the lettuce wraps and Bacon & Blue Burger. He tried one of the bartender’s creations, an Old Fashioned, and gave it thumbs up. The berry lemonade proved a refreshing choice — not too sweet, with a mix of berries adding their flavors. Finally, the Yuzu Lemon Chill with blueberries brought the meal to a happy conclusion. Light, packed with lemony lusciousness, and served with a mint sprig, it works beautifully as a sweet treat.

I was really surprised by this Granville, food was really good and the vibe was great! I loved the openness of the bar half inside/half outside. Place was packed on a Tuesday evening, friend and I came here last min. I did not expect much of this Granville since I’ve been to the Burbank and Glendale location. I was craving a good steak and I ordered the New York steak, wow it was sooo good! Tender, juicy and flavorful, huge portions. I’ll be back here, perfect for dates for night with the girls.

Suzie Q’s Fun Facts: The Granville calls its staff members«villagers.» Perhaps that’s a nod to the Granville township in Ohio, one of the first planned communities, which was founded in 1805 by people from the town of Granville, Massachusetts(whose farming activities had already exhausted the soil, causing them to seek a new home). =≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅~ The Granville may be a chain restaurant(and we know how we feel about those). Nevertheless, it’s a chain that’s been conceptualized and executed to perfection. I’ve only ever been to this Studio City location, so I can’t speak to how this one fits into the larger stable of restaurants. But on a standalone basis, it has a spacious, comfortable, elegant-but-casual design with an open-air flair, perfect for the warm spring and hot summer nights to come. What a trendy, welcome addition to the Ventura strip! Service was friendly, but not intrusive. I had only a Greek salad(interestingly named«The Granville,» though it wasn’t very distinctive for being the restaurant’s namesake). The portion was reasonable, though for the price($ 11.00), the toppings of cherry tomato halves, feta cheese and red onion slivers were pretty sparse. For the light late-afternoon meal I was looking for, it was fine — but as a lunch, it would have been inadequate. I couldn’t stay long, as my dining companion was rushing to his next social appointment, but I did enjoy my experience here. Looking forward to next time!

Went to the Studio City location on a Thursday night. There was no line so we got right in, sat outside with the heaters and enjoyed a beautiful evening. It is very dimly lit so a perfect place for an intimate dinner. The waiter we had was very polite and asked if it was our first time and went into detail about some items and let us know the menu is hand crafted by the chefs and that to leave the dishes as is with no altering of food. We got a couple mojitos at $ 9 a piece. Pretty tasty. Nice presentation. To the main course. The pork chop. Do it. You won’t regret it. The price tag is about $ 25 but well worth it once you take a bite out of it. Comes with garlic butter spinach and side of whipped mashed potatoes. Pork chop is topped with a cranberry sauce that mixes with the meat that will make you want to become a carnivore for life. The wife got the spicy chicken pasta that came with mushrooms, pine nuts and some peppers that was good as well but falters in comparison with the pork chop in my mind. Bill came out to about 60 bucks for two entrees and a couple drinks. Not too bad. Definitely coming back in the near future!

Well, let’s start off with something positive. The hosts were two very sweet girls who got us seated promptly, and the food was great. The waiter was unemotional, did not make any conversation, got straight to the order and hardly returned. I ordered a caipirinha, and requested for it to have less sugar than normal. My boyfriend ordered their take on an old fashioned. Since my drink came sweet and tasted like a virgin cocktail, I requested for him to add a bit more alcohol. Due to his expression, my boyfriend wanted to save him the trouble by ordering some shots. Well, at Granville they have a rule that each person can not have more than one drink at a table at the same time. That’s fine, if only I’d A. Not had to wait 15 minutes for my drink B. Received something that would pass for a cocktail C. Didn’t have to flag down our waiter the entire time we dined

I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve never been disappointed. I got a birthday gift so I came here this time around for dinner, I usually come for Sunday brunch. We started with the Granville salad which is like a Greek salad and it was really good. For our entrees we got the New York steak and the pork chop, the steak tasted great, had a tiny bit of sweet flavor. The pork chop was also good, but the steak definitely wins. For drinks I started with the picante pineapple margarita, which was too sweet for me, I accidentally spilled it so I switched got the Ginny Hendricks, that drink was fantastic, good amount of sweet and spicy and it hits the spot, definitely one to try. Our waiter Jeramy recommended a lot of great food and was super friendly, so this place gets 5 stars

Laid back bright, sexy ambiance. I went for lunch, and I have nothing but excellent things to say about this place. I ordered the Turkey BLT which was simply delicious, the turkey was really fresh. I always worry about how turkey will taste, but this turkey was roasted beautifully and pulled to perfection and the taste of it was just delectable. With my turkey sandwich I also had a beet salad which was clean and the beets were super fresh. If you’re in the area this is a must try. The food is delicious, the service was AWESOME! If you are in the area check it out. My advice would be to «Über or ride share, or walk if you are local. The valet in front it a bit of a mess. But besides that this place rocks my socks!

Came back for lunch again! Definitely will have the tacos trio sometime soon. I got steak(YOM!), shrimp(the best flavors out of the three), and the chicken(which was a little sad on flavors, if flavors could be sad… it needed onions and cilantro… or maybe it should be done the same style as the shrimp cuz the shrimp tacos were AH-MAY-ZING!). Consistent with service and just found out they have a parking lot, even better.
