I have no idea what the other reviewer is talking about. I have had nothing but the best experiences when going to audition at Shooting From the Hip! The staff has always been incredibly helpful and friendly. And Francene is by far one of the nicest casting directors in town. The few times I’ve had to bring my little girl in, one of the sweet girls in the office gave her crayons and paper to draw on. I always know I’ll be treated kindly when I’m called into that office.

I drove my mother in the rain to get there on time for a grandmother part. There is no parking in the lot, so we had to walk in the rain to her casting place. This was the second audition there. After the audition, she or someone in the office called my mother’s agent. It was intimated to the agent that she was not ‘with it’ and didn’t seem to know where she was. My Mother has a lead in a film and is on avail for another commercial, and the one thing she is, is sharp and funny. Her stand up is under Gladys Florence on u tube. Calling the agent and saying these things about an elderly actress is a hit below the belt and the most horrible thing a person can do. We all get old and Ms Francine Selkirk will not escape it. Casting directors should stop thinking they are God, and try to be a bit human
