Gigantic, fat, flavorful fruit at a reasonable price – a joy to bring home from your favorite farmer’s market! The blackberries were the size of walnuts! Usually that means they’ll taste like styrofoam, but no, they were perfect! Same for strawberries and blueberries! I can say with confidence that I’ve never had a bad bunch and they don’t got to wilt after a day in the fridge. Enjoy!

Wow Just completed my 20 weeks of Agriberry shares and there is more to come! They provided an extension into October! Yum… Apples and Cider… So if you want a CSA that is about 90% Fruit and 10% veggies this is the CSA for you! You will be downing in Blackberries and Raspberries by the end of the summer. Luckily they provide recipes to help you prepare them in case you are not an avid smoothie drinker like myself. I can’t wait to sign up for next year!

Agriberry sells fresh berries at the South of the James market, and their berries are easily the best in town. They are all $ 5.50 a pint or two for $ 10, which sounds a little expensive, but it’s worth it I think to know your fruit is locally grown and hasn’t been sitting on a plane for hours or days, picked before it’s ripe, etc… Their blueberries are perfect(tart, sweet, plump, no shriveled ones in the pint), as are their blackberries(which I don’t like, but every pint looks perfect with glossy firm large berries)… and when they had strawberries a few weeks back, they were AWESOME. I bought two pints and even that really wasn’t enough… their raspberries this season have been looking a little rough, but I got a pint this morning and they were sweet and juicy, despite being a little bruised looking… Plus, they have these little nets they put over the pints, so the berries don’t get loose from the containers when you put them in your bags. Classy and smart.
