Very limited menu at lunch: 1 or 2 sandwich offerings but 4 kinds of Mac and cheese(not so appealing on a summer day). Slow service. Sadly the music at lunch was loud and heavy metal(though they did turn it down for us slightly). Might be ok after work but a bust at lunch.

Great food, nice bar area and friendly staff. Enjoyable meal for a family, though a little pricy, the food is a step above.

I have been here two times. First time I wasn’t all that impressed and didn’t plan on going back. Second time I went because a family member wanted to eat here for her birthday. I promise I won’t come back again. 90%of the menu and specials contained some sort of pork product. It was redundant and boring. Not to mention gross. Also vastly overpriced. First time we were there they asked if I wanted to have my two year old’s water in a really tall, thin glass. I thought the waitress was kidding but she wasn’t. I asked for something like a kids cup. She came back with a little rocks glass from the bar :/Second time our waitress confirmed that they had no glasses for kids. No kids menu. The attitude of the staff sucks too. Nope.

We found this our way back from MA to CT for lunch. It was perfect! We sat in the bar area. Had a very good citrusy chicken soup of the day and the Pulled Pork Tacos– I had Gluten Free and my husband had regular. Friendly service and I loved that they had a full Gluten Free Menu. I’d highly recommend!

Been here several times, food is a tad pricey but absolutely worth it. Their service and attitude is top notch. Steak Pablo, scallops, salads, drinks, you name it, everything is excellent. Menu is creative, ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Skip Rovezzi’s, go here instead.

No attention from wait staff. My order was incorrect(which they didn’t address considering they never checked on me) 3 hairs in my grilled cheese, incorrect side order, and incorrect drink. Very disappointed.

Pit stop on way to Portland, ME. Quaint little town of Sturbridge produced a 5 star restaurant. Love all the creative dishes, it’s a great place to explore different types of food prepared to perfection.

Great place for brunch. We have been there a few times over past 3 years. They feature a really inventive menu. My only reason to take away one star is the brunch menu is a bit short of items. This fact is by no means a reason not to go. The items on their menu are excellent. Their breakfast oriented options like hash, waffles, etc. are done to perfection. The specials, on the days we have been there, are super creative and not ordinary. Very cool. Cocktails at brunch, sure thing. Great drinks. With all that being said, the best attribute of this place is the warm, friendly, and attentive staff. They have always made spot on recommendations. Quick to refill your coffee. Outstanding upselling desserts! If you are visiting Sturbridge Village, make sure you stop in. If you are out antiquing, make sure you stop in.

The dining room was nice and well lit. We started off with an appetizer of the stuffed dates. They were very good and the best part of our meal. Unfortunately they were the only delicious part. My sister and I decided to share twolunch entrées. We had lobster mac & cheese and the short rib tacos. Both dishes were lacking in flavor. The tacos had no flavor at all and The mac & cheese had some flavor but we had to put two servings of salt. The lunch rated 3 stars because of the food.

I have to say that I love the atmosphere and appreciate the menu here so much. But, it really is hit or miss. I ordered lobster Benedict for brunch and the eggs were way over cooked — highly disappointed. On the other hand, my husband got the grilled cheese and it was amazing.

Another great brunch on New Year’s Day! I of course HAD to have the same thing I had last time, goat cheese, arugula, bacon and a jam grilled cheese on fresh sourdough. So good!!! Others from my Table enjoyed the chorizo and jalapeño Mac and cheese, a wonderful fresh made chorizo hash and a spinach(and something else) frittata. All meals were devoured. Good portions. Good service. Great food. And it won’t break the bank. Thanks again and we will be back

We’ve sat at the bar on both visits and had delicious food and service. Thank you for having gluten free bread, and a menu and a staff who understands what that means. The grilled cheese on my bread(minus the bacon) was unique and delicious. It warmed me up on this chilly day. We will be back on our next trip to the nearby antiques and brewery :)

Nice little hole-in-the-wall place. Went here before a wedding, and enjoyed a few drinks. A small bar and area to hang out, this place is mostly a sit down restaurant. I was impressed with the food my friends got, but I stuck to just drinks. They were moderately priced and the small atmosphere meant I got them quick. It was a nicely kept place, with a clean bathroom! Nothing special to make me come back, but I imagine a good place to have a meal with family. I wouldn’t really endorse the bar area.

This was my firs trip to Sturbridge and the sole reason was to eat at Cedar Street Grille. I chose this place based on Unilocal and by looking at the menu featuring small plates; which is always fun. I made a reservation just in case and man glad I did. When we arrived, the party before us were told that the wait was close to an hour. The restaurant has a cool and trendy atmosphere that I wasn’t expecting. We were seated near the back with a view of the kitchen. Our waitress came over promptly after we were seated and asked us for drink orders. Our waitress came over another time and weren’t ready again but she was very friendly and kept telling us to take our time. My friend is not an adventurous eater so we ended up with the sliders, mac & cheese, fried pickles and pork tacos. Everything was delicious. The mac & cheese was very cheesy and heavy. The pickles were light and sweet, the sliders were juicy and delicious and the pork tacos were seasoned well. We received two tacos and sliders each. We were full with those four small plates. I thought it was very affordable. It was ALL good. Again, our waitress was great. Very bubbly and friendly. She was helpful and down to earth. If I am ever in the area again we will be back.

I travel every 8 weeks to visit my Mother in Auburn, Ma. She is eighty-seven and is in Assisted Living near by. What with my hectic schedule as a business owner in South Carolina, it slipped my mind to make a Mother’s Day reservation. On a suggestion by my niece I tried to reserve here and was told they were totally booked. I thought maybe I could get some help by messaging through Unilocal to the management on my dilemma. I was graciously given a reservation by management for two once I shared my story. These days in our hectic world one doesn’t expect such a response. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted. The Mother’s Day menu was super. We ordered crazy Dates, Shrimp, and Lobster Benedict, along with a bottle of Chardonnay. The taste, texture and presentation along with great Service made it all the better. My mother was so very pleased. Thanks Dan G and staff for topping off my trip and making the setting for a very Happy Mother!

I was really disappointed in my dinner tonight. I hate to even write this post. However, I am(was) a «super fan.» I tell everyone about Cedar Street Grille and have dined here countless times; always cheering people from the Boston area to make the trip to Sturbridge. I drove with my family an hour and fifteen minutes just to enjoy another spectacular meal… I can’t believe how different it was from just a month ago(which was amazing). We entered and were met by an employee complaining about the night being«crazy» so far. The Bistro salad is no longer offered — hands down the best salad I have had — why discontinue something so great? Next, the calamari«small plate» was smaller than ever and lacked the appeal it formerly possessed. The chips and hummus were quite unfortunate too. The chips were overcooked and the hummus with lemon accents… not a hit. I was looking forward to the relief of the imminent, incredible main course but to my dismay… it was rough, really rough. The halibut was dry and flavorless; the filet was forgettable; the herb chicken was«pedestrian» and I think my mother was just being gracious by saying that her leftovers«wouldn’t keep.» On the long ride back we considered what might have changed in such a short period of time — a new chef? Anyway, I am truly bummed out to say that I won’t be rushing back. I felt compelled to write because I really loved this place.
