My wife and I were given a recommendation my the Inn keeper at the Inn at Cedar Crossing that Mike’s Pub had good soup. They did. Plus they exclusively have RC Cola at the fountain! Everyone has Coke. Mike’s has RC! I had the Seafood Chowder, my wife the Chicken and Dumplings. Both very good!

If you decide to eat here(good idea) be hungry! The portions were quite generous and the food was clearly home made. We will be back. Great quality, great value.

First time stop, here for a drink after a visit to Cave Point. Little place, it was crowded, so we three sat at the bar and ordered drinks and burgers. We enjoyed them so much we came back the next day! Loved getting a free jello shot when the Packers scored. Definitely will be back and look forward to trying them for breakfast. Good food. Good service. Good prices. Recommend!

We stayed next door at the Innlet Motel and had breakfast there two days in a row. Very good place for an informal, small town restaurant type breakfast.(Even though this is really a tavern.) Friendly service, good food. Not an expansive menu like you get at the big chain restaurants, but they had all the basics. I definitely recommend Mike’s Port Pub and Grill.

Stopped in for breakfast before going to Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes. We’ve been here 4 days, and this was the best breakfast we’ve had! Busy place, so we sat at the bar — excellent choice, by the way. Hubs ordered the stuffed French toast with cherries and I ordered my usual — a vegetarian omelet. First the French toast — thick slice of French toast topped with cream cheese and an immense amount of cherry sauce and a side of sausage. Delicious. The omelet — the best on the peninsula. Filled with asparagus, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, peppers, cheese. And they switched out the hashbrowns for a nice mixed fruit cup. Service was great, and everyone was very friendly. Loved the place — We’ll put it on our list when we return to DC!

The shrimp dinner was one of the best I have had. My wife had the cod dinner, which was also very delicious. We had a great waitress.

Stop there on a road trip with friends. They were real quick to give us a menu but not at taking our order or even acknowledging our presence. After be asked to be excused 3 times by 3 different servers and waiting 10 minutes we decided to leave. At least the bartender said sorry.

I have been to Mike’s for breakfast and dinner. I love eating there because they have good hospitality, and great food! The pancakes are HUGE but thin. The bacon on the side is very juicy and delicious. Their burgers are very tasty along with their fries. Its a family friendly and casual place. If your kids get bored they have a megatouch game system for them to play with some fun games and its 1 dollar for 4 games. I love coming to Mike’s and will definitely be back soon! Age –12

Stick with the specials, you’ll not be disappointed. Homemade soups and chili; the chicken dumpling tastes exactly like my Wisconsin born & raised mom’s version, chili is eastern WI style with macaroni in it(think goulash). Recommend deconstructing the perch sandwich with a knife and fork. Slaw that comes on sandwich is strictly for garlic lovers. Homemade meatloaf declared«better than good»; grilled turkey & Swiss«good». Best thing? The soups, by far. Quirky/homey tavern ambiance. Don’t forget to read all the signs.(Am getting mighty tired of seeing FauxNews on the tee-vee though.)

Friendly with a little more home style food than the typical bar & grill. If the parking lot is full in front there probably will not be a table available.

It’s a down home pub which charged us two dollars for splitting a 10.98 walleye sandwich. Worse than that they didn’t even tell us! It’s not the two bucks but the discourtesy. Not that great would not return.

This place has become a go to for us. My husbands loves their old fashions. Great Friday fish. Delicious cold slaw and German potatoe salad. Even their hotel is a great value. Reasonable price for a neat and clean room. Both are owned by a hard working family who have pride and care about providing restaurant customers a great meal and hotel customers a great value in a place to sleep.

Love to see the picture of Mike’s on the review… I miss being up there. Mike’s is great and we make a point to eat there every visit. Will probably be there tomorrow night for Labor Day… The burgers are pretty amazing, and I love the fried cheese curds. I also don’t know what they use to season the fries but I love it. The kids are easily entertained by the video games in the back. It’s a classic family run, old school place to hang out.

Mike’s Port Pub has your typical bar food, but a step above the average bar. The four of us had lunch there one cool and rainy Friday. The whitefish chowder was tempting, but I started out with a bowl of chili for $ 3.75 and added for 50 cents a heap of cheese and onions. Two of us ended up with chili and we all thought it was very good. The chili was full of tomatoes, meat, and some pasta. A great place to start on a cool rainy day. I ordered a Shrimp basket and had a choice of Fries or potato salad. I tried the potato salad since my wife was going to order Sweet potato Fries with here burger. Another ordered the 5 oz. Rib Eye sandwich with their onion haystack rings. Everything ended up being very good. The sweet potato fries were very good and flavorful. The onion haystack rings were also very good. A nice portion sliced very thin with a light batter. Both the sweet potato fries and the onion haystack rings are worth ordering. The beefburger was very good and an above average bar burger. You can get it with American, Swiss or Cheder cheese and raw or fried onions. The Rib Eye sandwich was a treat. The Rib Eye was so big it had to be folded over to fit on the bun. The Shrimp basket was great, a very pleasant surprise. I wanted something other than sandwich and thought I would give it a try. The batter was light, the shrimp flavorful and were without tails. You could eat the entire shrimp without a worry. I thought the potato salad would be plain, but again was surprised by a flavorful potato salad with big chunks of potato and egg. Overall, we all were very pleased. The food was great, the service great and the prices were very reasonable. The service not only as great, but friendly too. A nice place for lunch. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Their menu had not only burgers and sandwiches, but dinners, pizza, salads and many sides. All priced reasonable.
