Wow! Ordered the Murtha burger and it was fantastic. The jalapeño jelly was just the right amount of spicy, and blended with the cream cheese, it made a great taste combo. Husband ordered the Knuckle sandwich which was a one pound burger! Needless to say, he only finished half. Great biker bar with lots of ambiance.

Cool place with lots to look at. Food was not fresh hamburger and fries tasted like they’d been waiting a long time. Dry and cafeteria like. Of all things a place like this should get right … A burger should top the list. Waitress was nice enough. Coffee was surprisingly good.

Stopped to see Sturgis and we were hungry. We ordered off of the specials board and got a smoked meat tray for $ 17 and split it. It was plenty for 2, with 2 piece chicken, 2 big sausage links and 2 large slices of brisket; potato salad and beans. The brisket was slightly fatty but the sausage was great and maybe the tastiest chicken ever had. Overall a great smoke job and the sauce and horseradish were very good compliments. Didn’t expect to find such a good meal in a touristy type of place. Good service also.

We were vacationing in The Black Hills of SD, when we decided to stop in Sturgis for a quick bit. Although the town was empty, since it was not in early August when the biker rally is going on. The Knuckle Saloon is a very popular hangout with great food, beers and staff. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is very casual and down to earth. The menu is limited however the food is really good and prices are reasonable. I will certainly stop by again when I am in town!!!

We dropped in for a late lunch and NOT during bike week. The atmosphere is nice. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful with the beer list. The beer was great. Try the Fear No Dark, Pipe Welder Porter and Knucklehead Red. The chicken Alfredo was bland and just so-so. The chicken sandwich with the artichoke dip on it was very good. It’s a great place for a beer without a doubt.

This place is a fun place to go to talk and look at lots of cool stuff. If you think it will be speedy service… better think twice. To be fair we were there as part of the Mustang rally but you would think they would have this service thing down with the motorcycle rally finishing two weeks prior. Our waitress was very forgiving and discounted our meal hence the 3-star experience! The off the menu breakfast sandwich is «out of this world»! The pretzel bun makes for a delicious sandwich. It is a fun place to go and plenty noisy! I will return but if the owner is reading this… put on some additional staff. Afterall we have ponies to ride!

I ordered the blue cheese steak tips based on bartender recommendation. I knew this place wouldnt blow my mind based on rating but there were few option in Sturgis. The steak was so salty that I couldnt even taste the meat. The beer battered fries were flavorless. The only good aspect was the service. However, the side salad was good but how can that get screwed up.

What a great bar. So many things to look at. Just amazing. We were greeted right off by a wonderful Woman, I am so sorry I did not get her name. But she is one of the owners. I asked for a drink they didn’t make and she asked how to make it and did so with perfection. I ordered the turkey bacon melt and my husband ordered the ham and cheese melt. Mmmmmmm. Both very good. If you are ever in Sturgis the Knuckle Saloon is a must. They also have a micro brewery and extensive gift shop. Will definitely come here again.

I am a native of Sturgis, but no longer live there. My mother and other family still live there, so I visit on occasion. I have eaten at The Knuckle a couple of times. My partner and I love the steak tips, and it seems they are one of the most popular items at the joint. The tips are tasty and the portion size is generous. Other than the tips, the menu is pretty much standard fare — nothing super special. The atmosphere is somewhat quaint and definitely caters to the«biker type»(as does most of Sturgis, quite sadly, as I remember a time when there was more to Sturgis than the rally). Of course, during the rally, finding a place to sit proves to be a challenge — but that is the case anywhere. I have to admit that the service leaves A LOT to be desired. Like I said, I’ve been to The Knuckle a couple of times, and I have never been impressed by the service. The place does get busy, but even so, the wait staff might learn to be a bit more friendly and actually take the time to engage with the customer. I don’t a waitress to stand at my table and carry on a 15-minute conversation. But, at the very least, slow down long enough to register that I am a person who is spending my hard-earned dollars to eat in a restaurant. I expect an «experience» of some sort. I expect the wait staff to be friendly and to care that we made the effort — not to act as if we are just the nameless, uninteresting folks at Table 12. When I was in about two weeks AFTER the rally(on a Saturday), the place was busy… yes…but, our waitress was in such a hurry to get our order and move on to the next task, that it really seemed as if she didn’t care that we had bothered to come in. At one point, we asked her to take a photo of us(we were having lunch with a friend we had not seen in awhile), and she told us to ask someone else because she was too busy. Again, we didn’t ask her to do an elaborate photo shoot, just to capture the moment for us on an iPhone. I understand busy… but let’s put this into perspective — you are waiting tables; you are not needed in the OR to perform a brain surgery. The 60-seconds it takes to snap a photo is not life or death for anyone. Busy or not… Someone should have come by our table to make sure everything was okay, to refill our glasses, to offer us dessert(if they even have such a thing here). That didn’t happen once. Here is the bottom line for me. If I want fast food and fast service devoid of personality, I’ll go through the drive-thru at McDonald’s. If you want me to enjoy a «sit-down» meal… even in a biker joint… slow down. Your other customers will understand that you’re busy and cannot get to them right away. AND, if turning over tables(and not turning off patrons) is your goal, hire enough staff so that your wait staff doesn’t have to rush around.

Good selection of beer, and food menu. Service was ok but hey Sturgis Rally. Good IPA house tap, Murtha & Jalapeño burgers were great, Steak tips very good quite popular around the black hills area. 8 of us and everyone happy with food choices. Returned a few days later for a couple of beers, Bloody Mary’s, & Nachos on the last day of the rally Place not busy at all on Sunday Pretty good nachos too

We tried the Super Nachos and they were good. The unbreaded Steak tips cooked with onions and mushrooms were great! I had some good beers from their brewery. The Sturgis 75th Anniversary rally was going on and they were busy! We will return.

Hard to find a table, but it was the 75 th bike rally. Once we got seated, the server was great. By far the best burgers at the rally. The murtha burger is great, jalapeño jelly with cream cheese, how can you go wrong. Wife got the knuckle burger. She really liked it too.

The Knuckle Saloon is fun, great wait staff but Do Not Eat here. Two Burgers, two fries, two mixed drinks $ 44. Food was all room temp and Way over cooked! I would advise food from the Food Trucks and Drinks at the Saloon!

Had their 2-taco special which included a salad, my wife had the French dip. Neither was very good. Didn’t recognize the meat in the taco and the French dip had what looked like shredded beef. The waitress forgot the dressing for the salad and forgot my beer. Had to run her down to get both. However, the bar and atmosphere are pretty cool.

Steak tips with sweet potato fries is a must try. Reasonably priced. The décor is casual with bike parts, license plates, tools, signs.

Cheap prices for great food! Don’t you love that? $ 6.99 for a sandwich with a side and $ 8.99 for a bison burger with a side. You can’t beat that. It came to $ 20 for 2 people with drinks. And the service was wonderful — very friendly and attentive! Atmosphere is really laid-back bar scene. Love it!

A fun place in Sturgis that I came to while on vacation in SD. Went to the Museum before coming here which was a nice way to compliment the visit as it fit right in with the motorcycle culture and atmosphere. While here, we had a great and friendly server. A variety of different burgers to try and interesting daily specials to keep your eye on — ask your server for a recommendation! Can’t imagine what it is like during the rally, but when I went it was a great place to stop to eat!

Not bad… I’ve been in North Dakota for a few weeks for work. I was on a mini road trip from Beulah to Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. Sturgis was on the way and my coworker wanted to stop by, just to say he’d been there. We took a photo in front of the faux-Hollywood-style sign and saw this place across the street. We popped in to pick up some souvenirs. There’s a decent selection of t-shirts and other knickknacks, including crude stickers that say things like, «I like tits!» We picked up a few shirts and prices were okay. The lady running the shop was really nice though — as is everyone in this area.
