This was the first dojo we tried in the area when my then 4-​year old son wanted karate. We went to one class and it was the last class. We’ve since switched elsewhere and been extremely happy the past three years with the differences! Anyway, this dojo is a very cold place. There’s no waiting room for parents to sit in. No way for them to watch. Not even a chair in the foyer for you to hang out in. You drop your kid off for their hour of time and you pick them back up. You can’t even see into the room unless you physically stand in the doorway. The instructor actually made my son feel badly because he asked me to tie his shoes when we were leaving… at 4 years old. The schedule is not flexible either. They expect you there twice a week and your child’s class only meets twice a week, so there’s no flexibility like the school we’re with now.
