Hands down THE BEST PLACE to buy sneakers I’ve ever found. Puts all of the chain sporting goods stores to shame. They won’t sell you a shoe you don’t need — or can’t fit into.
Though you may pay a tad bit more, Brine’s spends the time to make sure you have an absolute perfect fit and will even order the proper size sneaker for you if they don’t carry it in stock. Such orders take about a week to arrive.
Although I’ve never needed it, a friend reports that they also have the ability to selectively stretch the body of the shoe in places to accommodate a longer than average toe for the odd situations where additional show width won’t hack it.
Ask for Bill if you need sneakers — he’s been fitting feet for nearly 50 years. A real sweetheart of a guy who really knows his stuff and the products they sell.

The place to go for running shoes. These days there are fewer and fewer family owner sporting goods stores like Brine. That said its great to see that they’re keeping the tradition alive. The staff knows the products inside and out, they’re friendly, and prices actually beat many of the big box stores. Definitely recommend.

Nobody has reviewed this place yet? Family owned for over 100 years, and the best service I have had in a LONG time! I went to Brines to pick out some skates and a helmet for my son. They measured my sons foot, and what I was going to buy, was too big. I was sold on the new, but Bob told me to buy the used, and they were in MINT condition. I could go on and on about the service. He walked me through fitting, lacing etc.
Free sharpening on the used skates, $ 5 otherwise, and every 5 sharpenings, you get 1 free. Why would you go to one of the big mega giant stores. Same prices, but service is like Nordstroms with a cozy, unstuffy attitude. Save $ on gas. etc.
By far the best around for sporting goods. I will always check Brines first. They are super friendsly, knowledgeable and by far the best service around. Oh, and their prices. amazing!
