Just moved to the area and this restaurant was right down the road… decided to try it out. We walked in on a Friday night and were asked if we had a reservation, although it was recommended we were seated right away. Our waitress came shortly and we ordered our drinks and appetizers. We had the pulled pork spring rolls(very good!) and the falafel with beer Tzatziki. It was by far one of the best falafels I’ve ever had! For dinner I ordered the chicken focaccia sandwich with a side salad both were very good. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips. They also have a really nice beer selection. Looking forward to coming back again and try other things on the menu!

My third time dining here. Visited with husband Saturday evening. Good thing we went early because it really gets busy around 7 pm. All delicious and very pleased. Chose the flight of 4 local(Hudson Valley) beers at 4 oz a piece for $ 9 I think it was – a good deal if you are feeling in an adventurous mood and not sure you want to commit to a full glass of one… and some really interesting flavors. Appetizers – husband had soup sampler – beer cheese soup and beer onion soup – both tasty and just enough not to overwhelm. I had the brussel sprouts appy – roasted/braised, still crispy to the bite, garlicky brussel sprouts with pancetta – delish, and even better if you’re a fan of brussel sprouts which i happen to be. Linguini and clams for dinner – a bit of a twist as they also have Andouille sausage which gives a bite, husband had the mac ‘n cheese which he liked. Just the right amount of seasoning and sufficiently cheesy. Dessert was the bread pudding(with a toffee topping) with vanilla bourbon ice cream(homemade ice creams here), hubby had the cherry walnut ice cream which he deemed very good. , Our server, Julia, was a delight. Very happy with our dinner out at Craft House!

Went after the blizzard because I was tired of cooking! Awesome tap beer selection; we ordered burgers(great!) with really good hand cut fries. Chipotle aioli is a must! Our daughter had kids’ chicken fingers — legit real breaded chicken strips, nothing frozen or premade. Our server was fantastic, and owner/manager came over to thank us at the end. We live locally & will definitely be back!

Been many times popping in for great beer after work or after dinner since its close to home. Came first time for sit down meal and happened to be for Sunday brunch. I had the steak and eggs and tried my girlfriends morning burger. Everything was delicious. The steak was well cooked and had a salsa Verde sauce that went well with the meal. The burger was also very good. I also had a beer flight with the meal. One of the 4 flights I didn’t like but the waitress happily exchanged for a different option that I enjoyed. The service was great, the beer was awesome and the food was very solid. Will be back many times and highly recommend

Despite the establishment being empty(the only two people in said establishment), my hungry friend and I waited 45 minutes for a burger. When the burgers finally arrived, the truffle fries we paid extra for were cold, and the burger buns were stale. To their credit, they attempted to cover their lack of fresh buns with a toast job, which was poorly done. Really destroyed the taste of the burgers we were promised would be fantastic. Beer selection was strong and justifies the overall review of two stars.

I don’t know if the chef has changed or standards are slipping, but our last 2 visits were just«so so.» Hubs and I went for dinner and he had sliders(he said they were«ok»), and I had the pumpkin chicken. The dish was entirely disappointing and I should have sent it back. It consisted of a thigh and a leg, with flabby, unseasoned skin and slathered with some sort of pumpkin purée. It came with a side of sliced sweet potatoes, which were also unseasoned and not cooked enough as the potatoes were slightly hard. The dish was drizzled with maple syrup which made the potatoes slightly more palatable. The poutine appetizer was actually very good. This time, the poutine was topped with pulled pork, gravy, apple pieces, and shredded cheddar and was actually a good combination of salty, sweet, and slightly tart although I personally was originally dubious regarding pairing apples, cheddar, and gravy. We decided to get dessert and had the baked chocolate donuts, which were also disappointing because they were as dry as sawdust. The only saving grace was the mint ice cream that came on the plate which was delicious and served to moisten the donuts. We decided to give this place one more try, and took my in-laws for Sunday brunch. I had the smoked salmon appetizer which was good but nothing spectacular and also needed more than the 2 little fingers of bread it came with. My husband ordered a burger, cooked medium rare, and when it arrived, it was cooked all the way through and had to be sent back and then it took another good 10 to 15 minutes for the corrected burger to arrive(the place was about half full, too). Service in general was painfully slow when we went for brunch and it took about a half an hour for all of our entrées to come out. I had the crabcakes Benedict, which were average. The crabcakes were thick but needed more seasoning overall. The dish wasn’t bad by any means, just nothing I would crave to have again. The hash browns were downright disgusting-they were lukewarm and pasty inside. I didn’t touch them after the first bite. My in-laws enjoyed their food, my father-in-law choosing the breakfast poutine and my mother in law opting for the huevos rancheros. My mother in law ordered dessert, and finally, after a two hour meal, we were done. I highly doubt we’ll ever return after 2 disappointing, mediocre meals. The waiting was nearly torturous and there was no reason brunch should have taken 2 hours in a less than half full restaurant.

My wife and I stopped in today with our baby daughter. We took a cruise up to Suffern just to check out areas we might like to move to one day. We were welcomed promptly. I have to say the staff was friendly, but maybe insufficient. After a bit of a wait a friendly waiter took our order: Short rib hash, two orders of eggs Benedict. First we were told there was no Canadian bacon so they’d have to substitute regular bacon. Fine. Forty minutes later I asked about our food. The waiter went to check. He returned and asked us to confirm what we ordered. In the end, Fifty-five minutes after arriving we were told they don’t have any English muffins. He said we could have it on toast. We said, «Good-bye.» Truth be told, we noticed other people waiting quite a while too. But strangely it wasn’t that busy. Maybe a slow incompetent cook?

after a misfire on our last visit — a complete turn around this time. The Cuban Spring Rolls are unique and capture all points of a traditional cubano. Ricotta gnocchi was light and exactly as The Record review. A stuffed pork chop, cordon bleu style was great as was the Craft salad. Interesting, spicy, local(Pearl River) Christmas Ale on draft and a fruity, Southern Tier Christmas Ale(bottle) paired well with the meal– both exactly as described by our server and Robert. Will be back soon to try the grilled cheese w/short rib and chicken cutlet sandwiches.

So happy to have discovered this gem. Really great beers! Nice staff who is super friendly. Service could use some polishing up, and the food isn’t my favorite, but at least the menu is creative and ambitious. I think with a little work it could be really great. I wasn’t a fan of the heuvos rancheros or the spicy margarita, or the mac and cheese… You would think I didn’t like this place, but I honestly love it and will continue to come back and try more dishes. Plus there’s no way they can mess up beer. The space is nice and would be a good place for a special occasion.

This place has solid food and a great atmosphere. Staff is always super friendly and I appreciate that the manager(my boyfriend says he’s owner, not sure which it is or if he’s both) is so engaged on the floor. It’s always a good sign when upper management actually cares. Makes me feel like the rest of the staff cares. Food wise, truffle fries are always a must and my boyfriend is obsessed with the shortrib grilled cheese. I’m still searching for my favorite, but there’s always next time. Be aware, they get busy on the weekend. You can wait at the bar or make a reservation ahead of time. Just go!

My initial review was quite… Harsh. Upon returning I felt welcome. I can’t speak for the food as I just went for a drink at another establishment. The staff, all the staff, was incredibly friendly. I will be returning.

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately, I didn’t. I shared the bbq wings which were very good. The menu was very small for dinner so I ordered a salad with salmon. It was very salty and the ratio from Green’s to toppings was overwhelming. I didn’t finish it. My kids had Mac and cheese which they didn’t like. Service was very slow but they were very nice. Good place for lunch or a burger.

Bartender was great, very personable and knowledgeable of the menu. The 3 stars represent the kitchen. The dozen wings came out completely burned. All 12 of them charred and oddly undercooked on the inside. Its sad that the kitchen and also the food runner were ok with serving food that were clearly burned and not eatable. The truffle fries were great and the soup sampler is a must do. Butternut squash bisque and Beer onion.

They have great selection of beers. On tap they had Saison, double IPA, triple begin and seasonal favorite pumpkin ale. All from near and far local breweries. BTW onion soup is outstanding and tuna salad was more than better. It was delicious. Service is outstanding. What can you ask for more in life. A good game on screen, a nice cold beer and something good to munch on!

This is our third visit to Craft House and we were pleasantly surprised! We sat at the bar to have our cocktail a Kettle One martini and it was excellent. We then decided to order dinner at the bar since it was quiet and romantic. We started with an order of fried pickles and crabcakes –both were outstanding. One of our entrees consisted of their fabulous fried chicken, succulent inside and crispy outside. Note, I must urge you to order this if you come here! In addition we ordered a hamburger which did not disappoint. It had that out door grill flavor that I love so much. To top it off we had a side order of truffle frites which were crispy and full of flavor and not oily or greasy. So happy we came here and Sunday nights are on the quiet side. Five stars but deserves ten!

I couldn’t even think of one bad thing to say about Craft House. I have been there a bunch of times for everything from happy hour, dinner and brunch, and left satisfied each time. I was even forced to eat here on St. Patty’s because the local Irish option was packed, and all I wanted was a good plate of corned beef and cabbage. I was so happy to learn they had it on the menu, and it was probably the best plate of corned beef I have ever had! The bar area is a little tight and can get full quickly, which is both a blessing and a curse. Every bartender we have had has been very friendly and accommodating. The rotating craft beer selections are always so good, but would love for there to be more. However, that’s just me being greedy; the offerings are more than substantial, both on tap and in bottles. I have never eaten the same thing twice because pretty much every menu item looks like I need to eat it at some point or another. I truly have never been unhappy with a selection, either of mine or something someone I was with had ordered. I am, however, a huge fan of the poutine and the fried pickles. We checked out their first brunch a few weeks back. The food options were so expansive, a little of everything for all tastes. There were a few bugs that needed to be worked out, though it is expected on a first run. The unlimited Bloody Mary or Mimosa for $ 10 is an awesome option. Every time I have been there someone, presumably a manager, has checked in on us and asked for feedback. It was nice to have someone be genuinely concerned about our experience. I I love this place and am strongly pulling for its long term success. It’s a definite must see if in the area. The whole experience is leaps and bounds above its predecessor.

Ever since Ravi closed, I was wondering what they would put in its spot. My husband and I were driving by and decided to turn in to check out Craft House. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu: it was a mix of pub food with a more refined flair, with some more elegant dishes. My husband ordered a delicious chocolate stout and I had a cocktail. I was a little surprised by the cocktail prices, they seemed more NYC-style prices, but it was still tasty nonetheless. He had the beer onion soup to start(delicious!) and I opted for a salad. The salad was good but the croutons were not — the bread wasn’t stale enough for croutons, so some of the pieces were still soft. They were toasted, however, but it just wasn’t croûton-like. I tossed them to the side. No flavor at all. For our entrees, hubby ordered a burger(grass-fed, that’s a HUGE plus for us!) that was very yummy. He also had a side of the truffle cauliflower and it was awesome. I went for the mussels appetizer because our server told us it was a large enough portion for a meal. She was right. It was in a bacon and herb butter broth and had a lot of chunks of bacon in it. It was very yummy and the garlic bread on top was done well. I was really upset that they seemed to be out of a lot of things. Our server told us it had been a crazy weekend, but we REALLY wanted to try the Brussels sprouts and couldn’t :( Dessert: we chose the flour-less chocolate meringue cookies with Chocolate stout caramel swirl ice cream. I’m pretty sure we were served plain chocolate ice cream, though. It was a boring chocolate, no caramel swirl, no stout, which is a shame because that’s the primary reason why we ordered it. The cookies were awesome and I was happy that there were two so we could each have one. The put the ice cream on a plate and it was starting to melt as soon as it came to our table. A cup or bowl might have been a better choice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and were intrigued enough to come back. We need to try those sprouts!
