Gianetta’s Grill(formerly Pizzalicious) under new ownership, is a casual neighborhood deli and pizza shop located along South Airmont Rd, just north of the NJ state line. This shop is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner(Mon-Sat) offering hot & cold heroes, salads, burgers, wraps, paninis, pasta dinners(with salad & garlic bread), NY style pizzas(16″ 18″/slices), calzones, and cold drinks from the coolers. Boar’s Head deli meats used here and candy and bagged Wise chips sold here. For breakfast, they offer bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, French toast, 3 egg omelettes, baked goods, waggles(Waffle on the bottom, egg on the top). The prices here seem reasonable. The place is order at the counter and there are a few tables inside for eating in. I had just left NJ heading north and driving the scenic route(no interstate driving) back home. I spotted this local pizza shop next to the Lutheran cemetery and decided to stop in here for pizza takeout. It took me a few moments to decide on which pizza I wanted to order since many of the specialty pizzas sounded pretty good. I ordered an Extra Large The Works Pizza($ 16 plus tax), which was all set to go in about 20 minutes. This pizza was very good which was topped with pepperoni, sliced Italian sausage, green peppers, red onions, tomato slices, soft mushrooms, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese on a firm chewy thin pizza crust. This was definitely great eating before my road trip to Upstate NY. I even had plenty of leftover pizza for the next two days.
