I didn’t think Pasta Cucina was as wonderful as other reviewers. The service was adequate as was the food. I’ve certainly had better at other restaurants. My salad was served with one lonely chunk of tomato and was way over-dressed for my taste. The bread was served warm, with olive oil or butter. My salmon entrée was tasty although a little over-salted for me. Others in my party didn’t rave about their chicken entrees. No deserts or drinks were ordered.

Poor and snotty waiter. Would not give us the 10% discount guaranteed in the menu because it would take too much work. The food was too expensive to put up with poor service.

My fiancée and I have had the pleasure of eating at Pasta Cucina twice now… WOW! Is all we can say. The food is exceptional in every way, the service excellent, the atmosphere, warm and welcoming like you are part of the family. Tonight was a custom Fra Diavolo Shrimp and Fusili that wasn’t even on the menu, ordered to make your eyes tear and done to perfection and a shell fish special including muscles so large they must be on steroids… Sausage and artichoke hearts for the appetizer and to close espresso/zambucca… WOW! You must dine here.

We started coming here after a relative was in the hospital in Suffern. We were so pleased that we chose this restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The salad, which comes as a starter before the meal is plentiful and has a delightful dressing. The warm bread served with herbs and olive oil is a treat. I had the ravioli with vodka sauce. I must say this is the best vodka sauce I have tasted in a long time. My husband had the chicken parmigiana, which he was very pleased with. We will be visiting this restaurant many times in the future. I highly recommend it!

Very attentive and good service. They even gave us a free desert! However, chicken franchise had a very bland-ish taste… Chicken was ehh and I bit in to veins. Not good. Other family members said the same about chicken dishes. I will not recommend chicken dishes from this ristorante. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely come again but probably not too soon. Ok parking and convenient location off 14B of nys thruway.

I was recently in town and went here for dinner. We were seated quickly, our orders taken, and food arrived quickly. Everything was cooked as ordered, portions were a good size, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend dining here.

Came here for lunch with a coworker. The place was empty. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I ordered the calamari and the service was good. The food was made fresh and the atmosphere was comfortable. They gave us fresh hot bread while the food came out and it was rather quick which is great considering we were doing lunch. I plan on returning and trying something different !

The service was great! We had a wonderful woman who was very nice and attentive our whole meal. I ordered the ravioli trio which was delicious. The mussels were ok and the New England clam was just ok but the service and the entrees made up for the so-so appetizer. I would most definitely return and try it out if you haven’t already.

I note the existing reviews are quite old. In any case my experience here was overall good. Décor and ambience is very good. The food was fine. Simple Italian American comfort food. I would definitely come back. I would have given five stars except for the fact that the menu is basic and uninspired. The flavors I tasted were all very middle ground. Service was fine!

I’ve been eating here off and on for the past 1.5 years and they have never disappointed. They go out of there way to make sure your experience is great! Great wine list as well.

I’ve eaten here several times trying to use up a generous gift certificate I was given. The food ranged from«meh» to «good». I can’t say any dish is consistently good, as the same entrée varied from night to night. Can’t say for sure, but the sliced filet mignon my friend ordered appeared to have been pounded and tenderized. The marsala sauce for it was requested on the side, and that’s the reason we could see the texture. My salmon was swimming – no make that drowning – in a sauteed vegetable sauce. Too much. Makes you wonder what they’re hiding under it. Fresh steamed vegetables and rice were good. I like that they often have drink specials which sometimes includes a nice wine from their list, so you can order a glass without getting a whole bottle. But their wine-tasting trio is just the bottom priced wines. My biggest beef, though, was at my last visit. After the bill was paid with the GC, there was enough for a nice tip for the waitress, but the owner refused to let me use it for that. Had to lay out the same amount in cash for the tip as the balance of the GC. Oh, and the GC expires soon. Business was slow for a Thursday. I think they’ve fallen from their high point. I know ownership has changed hands a few times since it originally opened, so it’s not what it used to be.

There stars because the pasta was good. No free refills on soda!!! Ridiculous. And service was pretty slow too.

Same review posted under Pasta Cucina of Rockland(listed at 10 Airmont Road) but it is the same business. We went to this place as I was given a gift certificate by a friend. After eating there I am not sure he likes me as it was a major disappointment. He must have it confused with the one in Stony Point that is very good. One thing that really bothers me is when they charge for refills on Iced Tea. At $ 2.50 per glass they are making a lot of profit as it is mostly ice, plus cokes are only $ 2.25 and that makes no sense why soda would be cheaper. I had the veggie lasagna and it may have been made by Stoufer’s. The salad was very good however but not good enough to go back again. The server was being shadowed by the owners wife, and I am not sure if this was because the server was new or the lady was trying to learn the business. It was just annoying to have this extra person hanging over us all night but not doing anything constructive. Once the check came it took forever to get the change. It must have been a real hard transaction, as it involved a $ 50.00 gift certificate and cash.

My company had our holiday party here. The service was acceptable and the accommodations were ok, but we were really squished into the table they had set up for us and water, glasses, utensils, were not a given for every place set. The menu was extensive as we had an early dinner special. I ordered the Chicken Florentine and I loved it! It was penne with chicken, vegetables, and a lovely light sherry cream sauce. The desserts were wonderful too as they provided a sampler. The cannoli was fantastic and the tartufo was tasty. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, the service does need some improvement though.

I love it when so called«elites» think everyplace is great. Décor is cheesy at best. A bunch of empty wine bottles on the walls and some scattered decorations and cheap metal chairs. The fireplace is a welcome addition to any establishment I admit. The such adored hardwood floors only enhanced the noise factor of the Unilocaling kids all over the place. Not a date spot by any means. I only mention this because the previous reviewer was misleading. Joel S. rating distribution 207 out of 270 reviews 4 stars or better!!! Holy crap your the luckiest diner on earth. Get real. I could care less about décor. I go to restaurants for food that I cant get at home. Food is underwhelming at best. Surly waitress even made it worse. The house Pinot Noir is dishwater. Sorry but for $ 7 you gotta do better than a wine box. Italian bread is so simple to prepare and so important at any proper Italian meal and is not good here. Here’s a clue, call Rockland bakery and tell them you need fresh bread daily. Then cut the large loaves in half. Throw them in the oven when people are being seated. Bring to table hot and crusty and not pre-sliced into ¼″ portions. That’s not how Italians eat bread. Since we were in Suffern I doubt there were any Italians in there recently. Same principle applies to the house staple, a marinara sauce. Needs to be good, at least, for an Italian restaurant to be respected. It was a big yawn here. Eggplant rollatini is fried slices of eggplant rolled and stuffed not raw slices rolled and stuffed. Food was bland and not good just like the service. All due respect to the bus staff who are attentive, the waitress with the big hair bun was ice cold and walked away from me before I was finished ordering more than once. And a cold espresso to boot. Skip it. This place has been here for years but so has McDonalds…

I went there for Valentines Day 2009 with my wife. We had the Coconut chicken skewers as an app. They were just chicken tenders on a long toothpick sprikled with a little coconut shavings. As far as chicken tenders they were pretty good but there was nothing special at all about them. Both of us then had Caeser salads which were good, they put tomatos in the Caeser salad which is diiferent but the tomoatos were not ripe and we didn’t eat them. By the way the side Caeser salads were $ 8 each. I had the country chicken. It was chicken breast, sausage, peppers, potato, and onion in a brown sauce. I have had this before at different restaurants and it is one of my favorite dishes. The dish had alot of potential but the chicken was overcooked(dry and tough) and the sauage was bland. It really ruined the whole dish. My wife had the chicken parm. with a side of rigatoni bolognese. I have had much better chicken parm at my local diner. I couldn’t believe that it had no taste. The melted mozzarella on top was a square of cheese. I would bet my life savings that the bolognese was right out of a jar, it was horrible. For desert we shared a cheesecake fried in a tortilla with ice cream and caramel. It was bad as well. The service was poor as well. Twice we asked for refills of our drinks and both times they sat on the bar for ten minutes untill we reminded the waitress and then she went over and got them. BTW they charged for every refill of soft drinks, I hate when a restaurant does this. I was extremely dissapointed after reading the reviews here. The reviews are a couple of years old and I think that the ownership has changed. It was a little odd that the staff was mostly Asian in an italian restaurant. We took most of the food home and it will probably end up in the trash.

hidden gem in strip mall off of 59 on Airmont Road… nice décor inside, real hardwood floor good service, plentiful portions of tasti food. I had the whole wheat pasta w/chicken spinach and garlic consommé. Mom had the Seared tuna over spinach salad. Good good and leftovers for later. no wonder it’s a favorite of Moms. I’m a fan.
