Great steak burrito under $ 10. Great to know the food will be decent when all the other customers were Mexican or Latino and my brother and I were the gringos.

Wow! better than any Peruvian food I ever ate in Paterson nj. High quality lomo saltado, tasty non greasy fried yucca, huancaina without too many crax. My husband loved his chupe pescado. This one’s a keeper!

I really, really liked the food. I thought it was delish– though they overcooked my steak a bit. I didn’t mind, though, because it was still really flavorful. Their menu is really extensive, and a bit overwhelming, even. You may want to ask your server for recommendations. The fact that no one was here kind of detracted from the experience a little, though– I wish it had been more crowded!(We were the only ones here.) However, I guess in a sleepy village on a Monday, this is typical. The service was also kind of slow for having no one here, but we weren’t in a hurry. Ambiance was not great. I wouldn’t come here for a date, but would definitely come here for a FILLING and affordable meal.

We enjoyed an interesting and tasty dinner at Taita. Patricio was our server and kindly provided explanations and information. Peruvian food is a new taste for me and I plan to visit the restaurant again. Taita is a welcome addition to Rockland County, NY!
