I love the place! I mean I love sweets and this place has sweets so I love this place! It’s a really great stop if you are walking the Suffern Main Street area, excellent for kids, or a date, or while you are out with your manly friends who would never stop in here for a tasty icy treat. Lol! Décor is cool and the fireplace is a great touch. Parking is abundant in the general area. However I say park far away and walk off the icy treat calories!

Like a breath of fresh air on a hot summer day, The Ice Factory opened this season to give everyone a new way to cool off. Located on lower Lafayette Avenue in Suffern, The Ice House is a nice place to unwind, with comfortable chairs and couches, pleasant music, and TVs, as well as a few coin-operated video games for the kids. The main attraction is the fresh iced. Made on the premises, they run the gamut from the traditional lemon and cherry to lime, mango, and peach, to name a few. If fruit isn’t your thing, there are varieties with nuts and peanut butter, some with dairy, and even a few cake-based choices. In essence, if you want it, they have it. The store also has a selection of Italian pastries brought in daily from the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx, if you’d rather indulge your taste buds that way, and a variety of coffees to wash it all down. The Ice House is a welcome addition to the Suffern landscape. One visit is all it will take for you to be a long-term fan.

This place is awesome. Everytime my family and I go they have new flavors. If you love pumpkin pie their pumpkin pie ice is to die for. Very clean and spacious. Only wish they have a time posted to watch the ice being made in the kitchen that can be seen through windows.

Some of the best Italian Ice I have had anywhere. This is a one-of-a-kind shop in Rockland County. A really great place to take the kids after dinner. This place is leaving a wonderful mark on the downtown scene. Very much worth the trip to Suffern!

very affordable and a wide range of options. The staff is very friendly. The area is not my favorite but it’s almost the center of town and very easy to walk to from most places. I will definitely be going back to try all the other flavors. you can mix and match the different flavor which is great for those who can’t make a decision on just one.

For AMAZING, creamy, homemade Italian Ices, The Ice Factory is the place to be! They also have awesome Italian pastries. The kids have fun with the HUGE chalk board and the establishment is always impeccably clean. And I recommend their other location, BBalls, if you are looking for a great egg sandwich. Kudos to the owners for bringing something new to the Village!

I’m updating my review as I’ve spoken to the owner & learned a bit more about what this place is all about. The Ice Factory is a new business on Main St. which looks GREAT(it’s amazing inside) and I’m really excited about its potential. Love the chalk board wall, NOT in love with the TV. There’s tons of room in there so it’s a great place to go with friends and family. I learned that they are actually making their ices on premises and there are windows that you can look through to watch the process. They have delicious coffee(bold, yet not over roasted) but aren’t open in the mornings which is a bummer as I’d love to pop in for my morning joe(it’s right near the train & bus into the city). At this time their window says«open nights and weekends», but perhaps with time they’ll add morning hours. We had two flavors of ices(both good) and a cannoli(which was excellent). Ices are great and obviously their specialty, but a simple chocolate & vanilla ice cream for non-ice lovers would be great. One thing that they could do is figure out a way to let customers know that they are making the ices on premises(super cool and a really big draw for consumers). Yes, their name is «Ice Factory» but when I was there I never saw any ices being made or a schedule for viewings etc. so to the untrained eye their large kitchen appears to be for food preparation. I wasn’t sure if it was more of a coffee house(they have coffee, espresso, cappuccino) or dessert place. Regardless, my family and I are excited enough to keep visiting and see what happens there. Come on Ice Factory — we are rooting for you to come through with a killer business & major hot spot on Suffern’s Main St.

Cute! It’s like the Rita’s of New York… only better. More flavor options, better quality, and a bakery section, too! Will definitely be back — especially since the place is still new and I hear they have plans for even more options in the future! :)

A great new addition to downtown Suffern! I heard about it when I was exercising at the local Zumba studio a few doors down. Of course I had to check the place out right after working out… Luckily the Italian Ices have less calories than ice cream so I didn’t feel so guilty dropping by. At first glance I was really impressed because of the sitting area in the front. It was so spacious with plenty of seating and a flat screen television. I could definitely see people making this a place where they come to meet a friend and hang out for a while. I then got to the flavors and I was greeted by a very friendly staff member. He encouraged my cousin and I to try flavors and even recommended combinations he’s experimented with. A combo that I really enjoyed was the sea salt caramel and honey graham. I went with the ice cream like flavors that’s night but I can’t wait to try the fruity flavors! I spoke to the owner briefly and he let me know that everyday they are open from 7am-9pm. Can you believe that?! Apparently they will be having coffees and breakfast soon. Just more reason for me to come by and support the new local business!
