Quick stop for lunch on the way to myrtle beach. It was busy for lunch on a holiday. Ate at the bar. Service was great and the bar tender was attentive. We decided on the pizza and we’re happy we did. From scratch crust and good cheese. If you like mushrooms you’d love the mushroom specialty pizza! All their salads come in side portions. The Greek was yummy! Glad we stopped!

Amazing find! Great food and excellent service. No doubt we will be regulars. The only problem was that we ate too much. Breadsticks were homemade. Hand breaded calamari for starters nearly filled me then the scallops for my meal. Whew. Better self control next time!

I visited a friend in Suffolk and she recommended trying Amici’s for lunch. Great local restaurant! I had the special– chicken florentine. This dish had the perfect combination of pasta, chicken, spinach and cheese sauce and the size was perfect for lunch. The sauce was the real standout-not too thin with the perfect amount of Parmesan/Romano cheese that did not overpower the overall dish. One of the things that makes a seasoned dish successful to me is not having to pick up the salt shaker and this dish didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, they were out of iced tea-not sure how that could happen in a city that is celebrating Lipton’s 60th anniversary doing business there. I also had the chocolate lava cake that was a much-appreciated small portion… gooey, warm and very chock-chock-chocolaty. My next visit to Suffolk will definitely include Amici’s.

I ate at Amici’s for the first time during Restaurant Week in Suffolk. From the RW menu, I ordered meatballs with garlic bread for an appetizer, pepperoni pizza as the main course and New York-style cheesecake for dessert. It was one of the best pizzas I had in a long time. I brought plenty of food home. The bf and doggies were excited to indulge in the pizza and loved it! Next time, I’ll order a glass of wine to pair with my pizza!

Excellent restaurant. Very good Italian and very friendly staff. One if my favorites in downtown Suffolk. Worth checking out if your in the area. Not very large but normally not hard to get a table.

(Refrigerator door opens) I spot a pizza box. So does my dog. We’re intrigued. Thoughts going through my mind… — How did that get there? — Are we allowed to eat it?(My dog and I are exactly alike.) — Let’s just take a peek and see what’s inside. — Oh there’s pepperoni. — Shoot, I just had pizza for lunch. — I want some pizza now… again. — But I’m going to the gym. Work out hard so you can eat this later. I texted the lady while at the gym. She says I can eat all the slices. Just leave her a small piece. I get home. Before I even greet my dogs and let them outside I have a few pieces in the oven warming up. Bite after bite. It’s so good. Great texture. The perfect amount of pepperoni to cheese to dough ratio. I ate pizza twice yesterday. Life is good.

Nice surprise italian/pizza place. Just walking downtown Suffolk perusing furniture stores and wandered past this place, came back shortly afterwards. Had a nice IPA beer, and tried the small 10″ pizza as an appetizer. Wow, a great pepperoni pizza with lots of mozzarella for $ 10 ! Outstanding pizza, nice place Ina quiet nostalgic downtown area. Will definitely plan a return trip to this place. Nice hot brick pizza oven and the art of dough tossing shows they know pizza. Bön appetite
