Dollar General

Stopped here to use restroom and buy snacks for the road after the Kangaroo across the road wouldn’t let anyone use their restrooms. Very courteous customer service. Thank you!

I’ll admit it. When I found out they were building a Dollar General here on the corner, I was not a happy camper. What an eyesore! I figured it would cause traffic concerns. I couldn’t see myself shopping there.
Well, then they opened and I ventured in. When I think of this type of store, I think of cheap crap that no one really needs. I wasn’t prepared for the grocery section. While they don’t carry a huge selection and I can’t do a full grocery run here, they are super convenient for those times I run out of milk, eggs or flour. They also carry a nice supply of over-​the-​counter medicines, toiletry items, and greeting cards.
The staff here is always friendly and a couple of them always remember me when I go in. It’s nice to have friends wherever you go. A place where everybody knows your name! Okay – so they don’t really know my name but you get the point.
So, in the end, I might have been the loudest complainer of this store opening here, but now I’m one of their biggest fans. Go figure.
