Most of the staff is good but there are a few who totally ruin it for the rest. I personally witnessed nurse and cnas hanging out in groups laughing and carrying on gossiping about a shooting in the area the night before while patients were waiting for something. Food is rarely delivered on time, one day lunch wasn’t served until 2:00. This place is full of sick elderly people… compassion, love and understanding is a must if you choose this profession… Nansemond Point lacks this in their staff. I had a previous experience with the Assisted Living section as well… they aren’t any better. If you have a problem, don’t bother complaining to felita, she gets offensive and will lie to cover the asses of her favored staff members. Sadly Suffolk doesn’t have any decent places for the elderly. Lake Prince woods is decent but expensive. Autumn care and Nansemond Point scrape their staff from the bottom of the bucket. Pathetic. not to mention most rooms are dirty
