Took my kids here on a lark while trying to figure out what to do with them. I was pleasantly surprised. A kind older couple guided us on a little tour. Lots of train set ups, local imagery of where the train came through, and memorabilia. Second best thing that happened was a train came by while we were there and we went up to the top floor to watch it. The kids were impressed. First best was Mr. Barlow opening up the caboose for us to see. The kids loved it. Afterwards, we went into Cedar Hill Cemetary and visited some of the graves and memorials. Again, the kids loved it. Who would have thought that. What really made the visit where the volunteers at the museum. They were friendly and really paid attention to my kids being there. They are good people. Worthwhile visit on a saturday.

This little museum has an awesome model train set up inside that has Suffolk as it looked at the turn of the century. They also sell unique train items, local treats, and local history books. Definitely worth a stop and combine with a walk around Cedar Hill Cemetery next door.
