Hocking Hills Hummingbird Cabins

Just okay. We’ve stayed in similar cabins in other areas of the country that at priced similarly with much better appeal. Sheets and comforters were horribly dingy and had ‘pilled’ to the point of being very uncomfortable/​scratchy to sleep on. Kitchen was equipped well enough but knives may as well have been spoons — very dull. Toilets didn’t flush well. Carpet in basement felt grimy. Beds were weirdly noisy. So loud that after I put my baby in his pack-​n-​play, he’d wake up when I got into my own bed. Super duper loud — not charming creaky box springs but «what the hell am I sleeping on anyway??» loud. No washer/​dryer. The showers/​bathrooms were clean, so there’s that. Would NOT book these cabins again.

Very beautiful location. Breath taking views. Hummingbird 5 was also very nice inside and spacious. Down side and why I do not recommend the Hummingbird Cabins in general, the owners are there everyday with excuses like landscaping (which strangely enough here is none) and testing the hot tub. Although we had nothing to hide you still just do not want the feeling like the land lord is checking on you everyday while you are on vacation. Also it is extremely cold on the bottom floor and while you are trying to sleep in your room you can literally hear every sound from the kitchen so someone chopping vegetables woke me up :(aggravating and not worth it

Several friends and I rented cabins here… I would strongly advise ANYONE considering renting here NOT to. Our vehicle became stuck in the driveway… because the owner did not plow the driveway. When we couldn’t manage to get out and called him, he insisted it was OUR problem… not his. After several phone calls to him without him offering to help, we had to find a tow truck over an hour away… which, ended up costing us an additional 200.00. Avoid these cabins and their owner.
